Weekend stuff

Didn't sleep much on fri night as stupid pain in side came back...Think it must have been the submarine roll from marks & sparks that did it or maybe it was nothing that set it off...It's been there all weekend although not been sick this time...Been bossed at online and offline to go to docs...Refused to go over weekend see out of hours one and i will try my best to get an appointment with one tomorrow...Think my body just after having a break and wanting to be lazy as daft nameless thing has flared up which doesn't help...Anyways am not moaning and enuff rubbish about it more important stuff around than my stupid body...

Yesterday i did nothing except sleep or phone people...Eldest went to see war of the worlds with their carer...He enjoyed it although he did say he may not want to buy the DVD...Told him we have to so i can see it LOL...I haven't been to the cinema for ages as the boys always go with their carer...I do want to go see Charlie & the Chocolate Factory though just to drool over johnny depp <ggg> ...I'll drag youngest along twice if needs be LOL...My mass clean didn't happen for obvious reasons <sigh>

Footie season has started again and my team won this afternoon :o) ...Watched the grand prix but hungarian one isn't usually very exciting as it's hard to overtake there...Kids are moaning as not much food in as i haven't managed to go shopping duh!!!...Had very sad news yesterday about an old friend from room i frequent on here...She lost her battle with cancer and died last week...It's a shock, she was a wonderfully funny person who will be greatly missed by a lot of people...Can hardly believe only 2 weeks left and kids are back at school...These hols have flown by so quick and we still haven't managed to go up north to visit my mum and sisters...Fingers crossed am fit to drive either end of next week or the following one...Off to lie down again and maybe have a bath...Toodle pip tc all xxx

WOOHOO!!!!!!

WOOHOO!!!!! they've gone :o) ...Okies so this is just the demolition lot that have gone but hey peace and quiet, can open the windows even though tis raining...Next will be them coming in to build the flats but i don't think that will be quite so noisy nor as messy...If it is will be phoning enviromental health again LOL...Got a phone call asking if youngest could go do his interview this afternoon so said yes...Meant i didn't have time to go for a swim at the gym but i did do my weights workout...

Eldest lad came down with us so could get pics of him for the forms...Daftie here forgot to take pics of youngest with me...Also forgot their DLA letters so couldn't renew the leisure cards...Will do them on monday as don't need them before then anyways...Need 5 passport size pics of eldest grrrrrrr told him he can use an old school one for leisure card...Found a game bashing bricks on neopets and it's very theraputic <gggg> ...Going to have a nice long soak in bath later and do nowt all evening :o) ...Must go shopping to look for birthday pressies soon as have a few in 1st couple of weeks of august...Will make my own cards for them though...Toodle pip tc xxx

Quickie

Forgot to say something in yesterdays entry duh!!!! I found the MP3 player :o) ...On wed before i went had a nap (didn't get it in the end) i ordered youngest off the sofa he was on...Then lifted it up to put on it's side...Was gonna get youngest to hold it up for me but he started moaning about helping...Then he spied a *lost* certificate under the sofa and got mega excited...Eldest lad came over from puter and held it up on edge whilst i cut open a wee bit along an edge...Low and behold one MP3 player found inside sofa...Guess what youngest was more excited about finding the certificate than anything else...He drives me nuts at times he really does LOL...Enviromental health just phoned the officer had looked at the plans and they had permission to start at 7am...Ridiculous start time in a residential area, especially during school hols...She asked if any dust today and i said well am only just up i don't know yet and it's raining so i would think probs not...They're supposed to finish today anyway HURRAH!!!...I did say i wasn't only one complaining during the week and the dust had been horrendous and they obviously hadn't taken any steps are required to dampen down...Just hope when actual building starts to go up there isn't so much mess...Kids still asleep so am sneaking off to the gym...TTFN xx

Forms galore lol

Still got headache on and off i think it's the weather as it's stuffy in the flat...All i have done today is fill in forms, pick up other forms to fill in and run around in town about the forms...Got the one sent off for photo drivers licence though :o) ...Eldest blue badge has gone awol so one of the forms is for a replacement need to get his pic taken tomorrow for that...Got yet another for youngest for a blue badge and if he's turned down yet again am gonna appeal and create a stooshy (scottish word)...Got forms for renewing access to leisure cards need pics for them too...Access to leisure card is a card our council do for people on certain benefits and for OAP's...Means swimming is free except at the leisure pool down the beach (half price there)...Other council run leisure facilities are half price :o) ...Eldest lads skiing and snowboarding lessons are half price via it...Because the boys are disabled they get what is called an assitance card to go with theirs which means anyone accompanying them gets same discount...Whilst in place that does this they checked their bus concession passes and woman gave me new forms for them...They aren't due for renewal yet but she said they should have companion passes...I'd said they'd been turned down for them and she though it was ridiculous...Will give it another try and see what happens...If they refuse again then will be another appeal...So lots of forms to fill in, get pics for and hand back tomorrow LOL...

Whilst down at council place i went to enviromental health to complain about building site out back...They are now digging up the foundations and it's getting worse...Apparently they shouldn't be starting before 8am...Am not the only one who has complained either...The air is full of dust, you can taste in your mouth as soon as you walk out the door...Even with my windows shut you can smell horrid nasty acrid concrete dust everywhere...I played on eldest lads asthma...He says he feels ok but he doesn't look right...His eyes are all red and he's rubbing them all the time, could be hayfever but dust won't be helping...We can't go out back into garden at all it's a health hazard...The woman i spoke to said they are supposed to douse down buildings that are being demolished so dust doesn't go everywhere so bad...Hope all us who have been complaining are listened to...

Eldest didn't go to circus he decided he didn't like the idea of it...He is going to his friends after respite next tues though for tea and the evening...Really need to arrange when we can go up north to visit everyone...I must go to the gym tomorrow as i haven't been since tues...Too many meetings and other stuff to do <sigh> ...Going to go quiz now...Toodle pip tc xx

Wednesday

Woke up with a migraine so went back to sleep and avoided the gym...Now know why i have been so emotional last few days and also why the migraine...If your male and reading this you wouldn't understand LOL...Roll on the menopause i say :o) ...Still in 2 minds if to go private for the rants or not...I know there are people who read this journal who have kids similar to mine...I also know there are people who read it who are similar to my lads...Lots i know just read and don't leave comments and i don't want to upset anyone...I know when you have young kids same as my lads that looking at the future is scary and reading what i am going through just now could make that worse...In saying that they are all individuals and not everyone is the same or goes through same stuff...I have 2 and they are as different as chalk and cheese yet have same condition...This is what drives me potty at times with ASD as most other disabilities can be the same...By that i mean the disability affects whoever has it the same way and you can deal with it in a very similar method or use same techniques...ASD has such an incredibly wide variance it can be incredibly frustrating to cope with...Don't know if i have done this before but below am going to do a little history...

With my eldest is was blatently obvious there was a problem when he was just 18 months old...He didn't talk at all, he would drag you to whatever he wanted and point...As i had know someone with glue ear i did think it was that...He'd been getting regular check ups on his hearing anyway...By the time he was 29 months old the ENT dept decided both his ears were full of fluid and he was booked in to get them syringed and grommets put in...He was also put on waiting list for speech therapy...My ex took him up to the hospital to get it all done, by this time he was past 2 n half years old...That morning they looked in his ears again and said both were full of fluid...When they got home at 3pm my ex said they had done nothing whilst he'd been knocked out!!!!...When he was under they found no fluid and no sign of there ever having been any there...I of course went nuts and phoned my health visitor to demand he was seen at local assessment centre...Now a friend had a son who was autistic and we'd both decided eldest was the same...So GP wrote a letter to this place asking could he been seen as we thought he had autism...This was back in 1992 long before autism was well known by people as it is now...They decided to take him in for a weeks assessment and that was done in april 1993 just after he turned 3...At end of the week we got told he was autistic...Now back then he was quite severely autistic as he didn't speak or anything...He'd also been put on a waiting list for a place in special language unit here...He got a place there in january 1995 and they got him talking within 6 weeks!!!!! Once he started there was no stopping him...He left the language unit for mainstream primary school part way through 1st term of primary 2...He coped brilliantly academically but due to horrible bullying i moved him to a different primary school in easter of primary 5...The 2 years he spent in the other primary school were brill...He's now in secondary 4 in a specialist base for aspergers/high functioning autism...He's doing fantastically well although socially he still has some problems...There is a parent in our support group who knew him as a toddler...She hadn't seen him since he was about 6 until he was 13...She could hardly believe he was the same kid...His school are even talking about him going to university :o) ...Now my point in that brief history there is that although things can sometimes look bleak when they are younger they aren't always...On the other hand youngest developed normally as a toddler...He was a right chatterbox actually LOL...I'll do a brief history of him another entry...I just want the help he needs just now as i know as his mum that he can achieve like his brother...Maybe not quite as high as university academically but he can achieve and gain more than his horrendous mood swings are allowing for just now...I know my mum would help me to go private for help BUT it would be the same people i saw!!!!...My anger is really with the clinical psych who refuses to see him...Maybe i should move to cambridge or sutherland so he could be seen at the units at the universitys there LOL...I really believe that there should be specialist clinical psychs, psychiatrists, educational psychs etc specifically for autism...Maybe one day there will be for others in the future...

The builders are just starting LOL...This is the ground being cleared to build yet another block of flats...It is barrat who are building them...So once the ground is cleared there will be more actual building work going on for months and months...They took over a year tobuild a block of 20+ flats out the back in a different corner <sigh>...It's not just the mess and noise but the workers take up all of the few parking spaces we have around here...Then yesterday the next street down they put down double yellow lines AARRGGHHH...Ok so these brand new flats are being built with private parking...What about the people who live here who are in the old victorian tenaments who do not have that privilege...I can't get a disabled parking bay, they keep refusing me one, yet i am supposed to make youngest walk ages from parking car to getting to our flat...The main street has 3 main bus routes on it and lorrys etc using it all the time...It is one of the main streets here and it is dangerous for someone who although he can walk has the road sense of a 5-6 year old...Anyways am off to lie down for a nap...Toodle pip tc xx

Filth

No not the naughty kind of filth....Disgusting dusty messy filth...It's earthquake central here again today <sigh> ...I can't open the windows of the flat and it's getting so stuffy in here...The dust or stoor as we call it is unbelieveable even with windows closed...My kitchen is FILTHY and am fed up constantly cleaning it...When i wash a dish i have to dry immediately without putting it on the rack or it's covered in dust...Would say it will get better but it won't as next they will be building the flats...Can't hang washing out either and i like to hang mine out when no rain just so it gets some fresh air...Eldest is sniffing and coughing like crazy i really hope he doesn't get a wheezing asthma attack with all this crap...The demolishing contractors are actually overrunning as they were supposed to be finished last fri...Then was supposed to be today and they have no chance...Not unless they work all night <shudder>

I went to the gym whilst boys were at respite to get away from the noise...See am still going even though trainer has left :oP ...Popped into asda to buy another sorting file thingy...The one i have the catch on it broke...I use one of them for putting all my bits of paper, cards blanks, and other card making stuff in...I really should have gotten 2 as i think the other one got too heavy LOL...The boys went out to a park 14 miles from here for the day with respite and had a good day...Fingers crossed youngest stays in good mood from it...Still haven't bothered to slit bottom of that sofa today as i really need help upending it and daughter is out somewhere LOL...

Went a bit daft this morning again and maybe i should go see GP for myself and get some *happy* pills...Don't want them though and always managed without...Been thinking maybe if i do get them (but not take) then could give more of an ooomph to getting some help...Also been thinking maybe the rubbish stuff i should start another private journal to write down in...I do find it helpful to write it down on paper so to speak....I just don't want to have people either feelign sorry for me reading it or it depressing anyone...Anyways got to go buy more ham as youngest had left it out of the fridge this morning and as he said it is now all yuk and disgusting...That's with the windows closed for crying out loud...It's not nice having to wash every surface several times a day just to keep kitchen germ free...Oh am asking a friend to do me some other siggys maybe she can do a nice big smiley faced one for me instead of yet more dragons LOL...I do like my dragons though especially the flapping wings ones :o) ...Toodle pip for now tc xx

this 'n' that

First a thank you for the nice comments...I don't get that down too often honestly just at times it really gets to me...Still haven't found dratted MP3 player but haven't gutted their bedroom yet...Am going to turn the 3 seater sofa on it's edge laters and slit a hole in the bottom to see if it's fallen in there <fingers crossed> ...It's nowhere else in the living room and the headphones were on that sofa...Player is always on end of his headphones so i have to look there...He told his sister i had been acting weird on sat afternoon too...Me being how i was so doesn't make sense to him but him saying 'i can't talk about it' 'i need to watch sonic' etc doesn't make sense to me...I KNOW it's his autism but it does drive me up the wall so much at times...He's deifnitely regressed since january and it's upsetting...Friend has noticed the regression too...If school haven't noticed then it could be he's acting different there...They tend to do that a lot in my experience...Oh well this is start of 4th week of hols so not long to go until they back there LOL...

Yesterday i did not a lot as i had such a headache and felt crap...Watched the grand prix which was a good one...Then persuaded the boys to watch the remainder of the motogp which youngest found exciting...I have always wanted a motorbike but i wouldn't fancy driving one round a circuit in the pouring rain the drivers did yesterday...Went and got daughter off the train at 11.45pm last night...She'd had a great time in leicester and they all loved the scottish fairy ROFL...All these youth parliament meetings she goes to she wears a set of fairy wings!!!!...She had on a UKYP t-shirt which everyone had signed...Am glad she had such a good time...Her friend who i picked up too left his mp3player down there DUH!!!...What si it with mp3 players just now LOL...He'd also been stopped FOUR times on the way to the station on thurs and taken to the main police station up here too...All because he had a biggish rucksack on his bag and had his hair cut on No2 <sigh> ...He'd let them look in his bag and told them several times where he was going to and why...I did notice when i picked them up last night there was two transport policemen waiting for the train and generally checking around the station...Guess one thing that has come of the last 2 weeks events is police are more visible on the streets etc...

Got woken by the *earthquake* men out the back again this morning...As i type they are still knocking stuff down and the flat is shuddering...Went to the gym and did my weights workout along with a swim...Went to the desk to book my review with the trainer and he's LEFT <sob> ...He's gone got a job offshore TUT...Ok am being shallow and peeved he left as he was good looking...It's not the only reason, he was nice and friendly to everyone who goes there regularly...Even if he was not working and in working out himself he stood and spoke to people and asked how they were getting on...The others don't seem to do that as much...Oh well got a new female trainer reviewing my programme next week...Went got pics done in asda for a photo driving licence...Am fed up having no photo ID and so many things you need photo ID for i decided to get my licence changed...Man in DVLA office said i need birth certificate and then asked if i was single...Said no am divorced so he said you'll need marriage certificate...Said erm don't have that anymore LOL but i do have divorce one...Hopefully it along with birth certificate will be fine...Chances of me going abroad as zilch or i would have bought a passport instead...Probs have same hassle with that though...Both my maiden and married names are on divorce one so they can just accept that...Am skipping weightwatchers tonight as i have been a complete pig over the weekend and i can't be bothered...Will be back on track tomorrow though...I did ask in asda last week if they can put negatives onto CD and got told yes...Will need to look out my black and white pics and get that done...Bought some charms to put on cards...After i have gutted the flat properly then i am going to sit down and make loads of new cards...Sorry entry been so long and rambling...Toodle pip for now tc xxx

downside

Had enough of youngest today :o(  ...I broke down and cracked up this afternoon and have now pigged out and ignored my diet completely...Going to have a drink later as i really can't take it all...His MP3 player seems to have disappeared off the face of the planet and he appears uncaring about it...I know he's not it's just his autism but sometimes it just gets to me so much i break down in tears and cannot cope...I've been dealing with ASD for over 13 years now and i still can't get my head round it and understand it properly...I don't think anyone can unless they have the condition themselves...I usually cope okies and don't allow myself to be down and upset but i just lost it today...Phoned a friend who came round and made me a coffee and helped calm me down...I know it sounds really silly to get so upset over an MP3 player but it's not really it that is upsetting me (it has to be in the flat as he had here on thurs night and hasn't had it outside) it's just the autism and how he is just now...I am still pissed off with that school GP and clinical psych...How she can decide he hasn't changed at all without seeing him is beyond me...Their has been a significant change in him since january that everyone who knows him has noticed...He's regressed to having conversations in video/tv speak as i call it...His mood swings are horrendous and he's mega jekyll & hyde again :o(  ....At this moment in time i seriously want him to lash out and hit me so badly i have to go to hospital just so they will do SOMETHING to help him...Those 2 above just keep saying you need more respite...Well yes i would love more but that is not a solution it is a stop gap...There are not enough professionals that understand the condition or dismiss it as bad parenting and bad behaviour....The bad behaviour stems from frustration with not comprehending or understanding what is going on....Speech therapist decided last year his comprehension and understanding was now age relevant...It is NOT he is way behind your average 14 year old with that and that is regressing too...Anyways don't worry about this entry i just needed to write it down...I will bounce back soon as i always do....Toodle pip xx

Builders grrrrrrr

Well yesterday was last snowboarding lesson for this block...The instructor passed them off for both Level 1 and Level 2 :o) ...Chuffed to bits and really proud of eldest lad again...When we were leaving i asked him if he wanted to do a beginners + class next week but he said no...One intensive block during the hols was enough for him...Also asked when skiing was starting again after hols so will be end of august and we get priority for that...He was now 117 on snowboarding waiting list!!!!! Strange as he was higher up a few weeks back LOL...Anyway he's now sat at 96 as he needs beginners + now...Also they had sent out a letter in june, which we didn't get, asking people if they still wanted to be on the list...Those that don't reply saying they do before mid august will then be removed...So he may take a significant leap up that list <fingers crossed> ...Looking at it i fancy having a go at the snowboarding much to his disgust ROFL...

Haven't heard from daughter so presume all is fine and she is having a good time...I would have heard if anything bad had happened...Youngest is being a mega pain again :o( ...He was being really nasty to both me and his brother yesterday and eventually at 11pm i told him if he doesn't behave i will phone the police :o( ...Am going to phone this place my friend told me about that will do one to one talking about relationships, sex, growing up etc with them...They are funded by the scottish exec and it is free :o) ...They also talk to them in a way they can understand and cope with...From what my friend told me it's also about friendships in general and dealing with people in general so possibly they do anger management too...Will see what they say but it does sound like something that MAY help with situation just now...Both me and my own GP are convinced this is all about his hormones kicking in and because of his autism it is upsetting his whole system and he then get frustrated and lashes out...IF phoning the police or going to A&E every time he hits one of us badly gets a result then so be it :o(

Yesterday was mega busy hence no entry...I didn't need alarm set to get up for snowboarding the builders out the back woke me before 7am <sigh> ...They are demolishing two buildings to make way for some flats...I honestly thought we had an earthquake...Everytime the massive digger thing knocked down a bit of wall my whole block shuddered...Was glad to be out most of the day LOL...After snowboarding i had to take eldest to local carers centre...They are interviewing both adults and kids on the spectrum about how they feel with the provision in the city...Obviously with kids they are talking about schools and out of school hours stuff...Hopefully this will give the powers that be up here a good kick up the bum...In saying that a lot of provision here is far more than most areas of the country and believe me here it is pretty damn poor...Youngest will also be interviewed at a later date...After that we went had something to eat as i promised and then went to visit a friend...It was a not to bad day until evening when youngest turned into demon from hell again...Oh and we didn't win the euro millions ROFL...Just watched the F1 qualifying and am off to have a snooze...Toodle pip tc xxx

Salopettes

Okies as two people have asked salopettes are according to the dictionary <ggg> ...thick quilted trousers with shoulder straps worn for skiing...Eldest's don't have the straps though...Oh and when i put them over radiator to dry i noticed that the seam on the bum had come apart so am gonna have to sew them for tomorrow now <sigh>  Might have to get him looser ones for snowboarding with or could be just he's growing at a rate of knots just now LOL...Toodle pip xx

tues, wed and thurs

Didn't realise it was monday i last did an entry...Doesn't time fly when you are having fun...Not that i have been the week has been same as usual with no excitement...I put on 1 and 1/2 lbs this week <sigh> ...Thought it might have been more due to not eating for at least 3 days last week and not managing to get to the gym so often either...Been to the gym on tues and wed although not today...

Eldest is loving the snowboarding lessons...Do need to buy him new ski gloves though as the fingers are almost through in a hole from falling so much on the astroturf type stuff the slope is made out of...Coloured white of course as it's supposed to be snow <ggg> ...He was really embarrassed yesterday but had a good giggle at same time...Am not supposed to be telling anyone this but as he has told people himself today then i can i think...He doesn't read my journal anyway and it is really funny...As the snowboarding is every day from mon-fri i can't get his salopettes washed and dried for the next day (can't tumble dry them)...So yesterday he put on an old pair of tracky bottoms...I had gone and had a looksy in asda and bought a magazine and went back to the car to read and watch him...After a while near the end of the lesson i noticed he wasn't on the slope so went into the building...Went through to the area where they collect the gear and he was sat there holding his leg....Of course immediate panic started to rush through my head thinking what's he hurt now...One of his teachers who works there said i had to keep away as he was a hazard area...Then i noticed the black and yellow tape all over his thigh...He'd ripped his tracky bottoms from the knee right up on the snowboard...They'd put the tape over the massive tear so protect his modesty LOL...Well i started laffing so much but he was giggling too and so were all the workers...He had his salopettes on today and he will have them on tomorrow too...He's been warned no rips in them as they were expensive...Ok they were half price in a sale but just now they'd cost full price to replace...Today he was managing to do the turns fine without falling so much and hopefully tomorrow he will have passed the level 1 for snowboarding...If he hasn't then at least it won't take much to do once he gets another block...The skiing has done loads of good for his coordination and i think so will the snowboarding...

Daughter went off to leicester this afternoon on the train for the weekend...Have told her to be really carefull of her rucksack etc and if anyone in authority wants to do a search then let them...Phoned to tell her about this afternoons incidents in london :o( ...Am glad the UKYP meeting is not down there or then i would be extremely worried...Do hope she has a good weekend...The lappy she got given is working fine although it has a different version of office on it to mine and doesn't like my version at all...Eldest lad is off out to a friends and youngest is being quiet oh the BLISS!!!!

Was sad to hear that James Doohan died yesterday...For those reading who don't know he was he was the actor who played Scotty in Star Trek...I have always been a huge fan of star trek and at one point i used to go to star trek conventions...Have met a few of the actors from the next generation and also met Walter Koenig who played chekov in the original series...Met him in a pub in edinburgh at a small get together arranged by some fans of babylon 5 which he was also in...Scottys was supposed to be from aberdeen and he sounded nothing like an aberdonian LOL...So see am a sad old git but i don't care cos the conventions were always a good laugh and a great weekend long party :o)

Monday

Stuart is a star yet again and helped me clear out something that got on my PC :o) and speakign of Stuart i will need to see if asda or boots will put photos on a disc from negatives i have...I have lots of black & white photos i took years ago of the sea with crashing waves etc that i love...Haven't got a scanner and refuse to buy one LOL...Will try and remember to ask in asda tomorrow when am down at the gym.

Me and eldest got up early this morning as well will be all week to go to snowboarding...Wasn't his school guidance teacher he got although i spoke to him...He loved it now only problem is washing out his salopettes every night ready for the next day LOL...Did ask him if he passes level 1 this week if he would like to try a 2nd week in last week of hols...This was providing there was any spaces but he's said no anyway...Just hope once school is back that it won't be long before he can do snowboarding and the skiing...Can hardly believe this is now the third week of the summer hols...Youngest is already saying he is lookign forward to going back to school much to eldest lads disgust...Said so am i and you don't know just how much ROFL.

Been to gym today and did weights stuff...Had problems with my puter some of which got fixed and the other thing stuart helped me fix...Poor man all of us who ask him for help must drive him potty...Got daughters deposit sent off for her uni accomodation...Very last minute it's due before wed but with mum, my uncle and everything else i just haven't had the time...Took MP3 player back to currys as it died at the weekend...They just did straight replacement :o) ...Just means now i have to go fill new one up with music for the gym...They did have an okay music channel playing there today so it wasn't too bad...Got weightwatchers later and know i will be told off...Being poorly i haven't eaten much so will have put on some weight...Plus i hadn't managed to the gym for a few days and that will have played a factor...Nevermind i can catch up again...Whilst in currys i priced a lappy bag, told bloke i would get one from argos thanks ROFL...I am not paying £40 for a bag when i can get one for £15 in argos :o) ...Forgot to buy Harry Potter book so am in bad books with youngest but told him next weekend...That's it for now cep to say again thank you to Stuart and wish i could repay him...Would send some turkish delight if he likes it...Can't stand the stuff myself but i make it and everyone says it's good...Toodle pip tc xx

Sunday

Firstly not had any horrid pain at all over the weekend and i stopped taking the voltarol the doctor gave me...Stopped taking it as yesterday afternoon it decided it was going to have a detrimental effect on my stomach...Was running to the loo every 5 mins <sheesh> ...Yesterday i lazed about and did not a lot except to stuff to keep me awake...Daughter was down in edinbugh all day at a meeting about the UKYP (UK youth parliament) meeting she is going to in Leicester next weekend...I am so glad she is involved in all this stuff, makes life more interesting and is something that didn't exist when i was her age...

Got up this morning to get ready to go to the gym...I have really missed not being there since wed, sad isn't it LOL...Just before i was about to leave there was a knock at the flat door...Was bloke downstairs...He asked me how i was and i though oh oh he's heard me screaming in pain...Said i was fine then he asked how daughter was and where was she...So she came to the door and said 'what have i done' LOL...He asked her if she'd like a laptop!!!!!...He is having a big clear out of stuff and decorating and he said this one was under his bed doing nothing...It is one he got off a mate of his for nothing when his mates work were having a clearout...He already has a lappy for his work and a desktop he has in his flat...So we said yes as i haven't bought her one yet for going to uni with...Said will have to give you something for it and he said didn't matter...Will have to find out what he drinks and get him a couple of bottles at least...So i don't need to buy her a lappy anymore :o)  It's a notebook size one so will be really handy to take to and fro from uni...

Rest of today well it's dull but incredibly HOT...Phoned mum before she would phone me to say am fine...Forgot to ask if she made it to church today at all...Didn't phone big sis as she's at mums visiting just now so mum can tell her am fine LOL...Phoned little sis to say am fine...Told everyone look no need to keep phoning and checking up on me...If something major happens then daughter will soon phone them to let them know...Have to make a card later for best mate as her birthday this week...Got a few already made but want to do somethign really special for her...Hope her git of a partner remembers and remembers to get her a pressie and card from their kids...That's all folks for now so chuffed to bits about the lappy :o)  Toodle pip tc xx

Slept like a log last night dunno if that was because i was tired anyway or because of these other pills gp gave me...Little sis woke me up at 9.30 this morning phoning to see how i was and i missed answering the phone before answer thingy kicked in was so sound asleep...Did phone her back and am glad she woke me up...There is no leaflet in the box with these pills so had to look online...Also i had to go out to the bank and pay credit card so popped in past a chemist on way back to the bus...Chemist wanted me to phone gp as drowsiness is apparently a rare side effect but sod that cos they are working LOL...If they kill the pain then i really don't care if they make me sleep for scotland...

Phoned mum when i got back in after being out to see how funeral went...Big sis sat beside her and it went well...If you can say something like that went well...The methodist church he went to have already paid tribute to him by planting a rose in the flower bed around the lawn beside the church hall :o) ...Mum says she is doing fine now which is good i just wish i could have seen her today although her voice sounds back to normal...She often manages to hide how she is from my 2 sisters but she cannot disguise her voice on the phone...She moans about that <ggg> ...I have promised to take it easy over the weekend and i will do my best to...The boys are fighting again as per usual but youngest is going out tomorrow afternoon with their worker...Daughter is off to edinburgh for the day for a UKYP meeting so am safe for the day LOL...I have another ironing mini alpine range to tackle and as i won't get to the gym i will try and do some of it...Really missed the gym yesterday and today and am determined to go on sunday...Anyways next week i have to be well as eldest lad has snowboarding lessons mon-fri 9-10.30am...Will be weird him doing that if the sun is blazing down as it has been although it has dulled down today...Better go do some hotdogs for the boys tea as it's quick and easy...Toodle pip xx

Ouch

Hmmmm woke up at 3amISH in pain again and promptly threw up...Lovely NOT...Went boiled kettle and filled hot water bottle as quietly as possible so's not to waken the kids...Could i get back to sleep could i heck...Around 6ish i decided right think i can actually take some painkillers...They didn't work but i did fall asleep just before 8...Woke again at 8.30 and decided had enuff am phoning the doctors...This was 3rd time since sat evening it's happened...Eventually got through to docs and managed to get an appointment for 10.20...Phoned my mum and big sis and they both said not to travel up there tomorrow :o( ...Eldest lad had got up by this time and i woke daughter and told her where i was going...Dragged myself round to docs on the bus...Typical lights change to red at junction just before stop for docs but driver took one look at me and said 'think you need to see a doctor' told him that's where am on my way to my GP is just there across the street...Nice bus driver opened door and let me off :o) ...GP i didn't know but he was really nice...Asked me what was going on and i told him and said this had happened back in march too...So he poked and prodded me <ouch> and sounded my tummy (stethescope wasn't cold <ggg>)...Upshot is he thinks it's my gall bladder...He's refering me for a scan, will take months, and gave me mega storng anti inflammatories to take with me strong painkillers...IF am still in same pain at weekend i am supposed to phone NHS24 <sigh> and demand to see out of hours GP and get taken into hossy...Fingers crossed pain will have gone a bit by then...It better have as i can't go into hosy without prepreparing the boys and getting social work to organise care for them...See ANYONE else can be ill like this but not me it's too much hassle and stress...So have read a bit about gallstones and that made me laff...On the NHS website it says changing diet makes no difference but then goes on to say to make sure you eat a healthy well balanced diet...Is it just me or is that contradictory!!!!...If you're eating rubbish then changing your diet will make a difference DUH!!!!...Also says to watch your weight LOL...So me who's never had any problems with gallstone before now appears to have problems with them when i AM eating healthily and AM watching my weight...Does make me laff although side aches when i do <ggg>...Oh and GP banned me from travelling to the funeral :o( ...Instead tomorrow i will go out into the garden and sit quiet for the time the funeral will be happening...

Mum made me cry when i phoned her after going to docs...I asked if they knew yet what had caused my uncles death...So his dodgy heart that he'd had a major bypass on never took him in the end...It was some extremely rare blood disease and had been there for a while...Those who found that out cannot understand how he was able to lift a golf club let alone play 2 rounds of golf a day...He'd also asked for a bit of paper and a pen and wrote a note for his grandchildren before he passed away...Told them how proud he was of them all and the 2 who were graduating to enjoy it and he'd be looking down on them...Dunno why i am writing this here really, i do think he was very brave to be able to do that and to ask the hospital to switch of machine...Hope i can have same strength if ever in similar situation...He'd also go nuts if he knew how i was and travelled to hsi funeral so i won't go...

Know i probs shouldn't be on here but pain has dulled down a bit and if i lie down i won't feel so good...Besides the boys have hijacked the telly through here and watching spiderman is not my cup of tea LOL...Toodle pip for now tc xx

Mums home :o)

Mum got home this afternoon, eventually...She had been asleep when the doctors did their rounds and they didn't like to waken her...She was asleep because she had a rash from something she has to wear for next 6 weeks so they gave her piriton...Not non drowsy piriton but the type that makes you sleepy...Took loads of phonecalls from me and my sisters to the hospital to find out what was going on...Isn't like either of my sisters can be there to pick her up within minutes like <sigh> ...Little sis was coming in today regardless so gave up and just came in...Mum phoned me after 2pm and said she was getting home so i said i'd text little sis as she'd be driving...Texted her and she'd just parked in the hossy carpark...Then they wanted mum and little sis to wait until 5pm to get a prescription!!!!...Yeah right no chance...Nurses said why not and got told a) we have about 70 miles to travel back home and b) little sis had kids to get home too...Eventually little sis got them to phone mums GP and tell him what she needed prescribed...They then had cheek to say 'do you have a chemist where you live' !!!!!!...I have every admiration for the NHS but some nurses just need to learn a bit of compassion, leeway and not to be so rude...In any other hospital mum has been in they have quite happily called her by the name she is known as and also had that name on her bed...Through here oh no we have to use her proper name so admin know who we mean...My mum has not been called her proper christian name since she was days old and one of her uncles called her by a short version of it LOL...Anyways she is home, she had something good to eat that was edible and she is happier being home...Amazing how how a bad cook can ruin good food ain't it LOL...

Went to gym this morning and did my weights stuff...boys were in respite playscheme...Where they did nothing, not even offered to get taken out...No driver for the minibus...I am so going to complain to social work big time about it this year...Ridiculous they knew the driver was leaving back beginning of may and they haven't even advertised in paper for a new one yet...They also say they aren't allowed to take the kids out of the city because social work say so...That i know for a fact is utter rubbish...Every other playscheme in the city is allowed to take kids on trips away and social work have said it is rubbish...To be honest the only reason i only let them go there now is so i can have a few hours break...Weather went dull kind of here today and was cool in the morning...The haar came in but it went away later so warmed up again although still dull...Haar for anyone who doesn't know is seamist...Think it is a scottish word for it not sure stuart can probs verify for me LOL...It's warm tonight though and left kitchen window open...Funeral is on fri so i will need to leave really early to get there in time...Do hope they let me sit with mum as with her being poorly we don't want her sat on her own without one of us beside her...They will :o) ...I love Richard Burtons voice hence listening to war of the worlds...

Thank you everyone who left comments wishing mum well and about my uncle...They are very much appreciated :o)

Good news

Went to visit mum tonight and she's been told she should get out tomorrow :o) It will be much less of a strain on my sisters as they both live up beside mum and that is approx 65 miles from here...My best mate came up with me tonight with her two wee ones so that cheered mum up no end...Even managed to get her almost 2 year old who not long started talking to say mums name <ggg> He's such a wee darling :o) ...So fingers crossed i will get a call tomorrow saying she is getting out...Good that she will also be home for the funeral and i have said i will sit with her if am allowed to...

More good news...That toe rag eldest son of mine FORGOT to give me his report card when he got 3 weeks before end of term...He remembered on sat LOL...Well he is doing fantastic and on course to get a credit level pass in all 5 subjects he has been allowed to do...He's not doing the full amount of standard grades his school do as i din't think he could handle all the homework...Any homework he does get is usually done in the base...Any he does have to take home he gets mega stressed about...Even english he is down as being credit level 2 just now!!!!...Glad to see english teacher has said he needs support though as i keep saying he needs it...Hope the base listen...I did have to laugh at head of the base comments...Quote 'It is particularly pleasing to see that he shows a good understanding of the work covered in geography.  Historically, this is a subject which pupils with an ASD have generally found difficult, due to the ambiguous language used within the subject area'   She had to get a dig in LOL...Last year i insisted that he be allowed to do geog...She had said no as no pupil that had been through the base had managed it before...I stood my ground and said he could be the first...And hey i been proved right :o) ...Instead she could have mentioned the fact that he got 100% for his drawing ability in graphic comm...No-one else got 100%...

Daugher is not happy with me as i have said she looks like neopolitan ice cream <gggg> ...The pink bits from last week are now brown...She still has white bits and even though she was covered in suncream and reapplied it often today she is mega pink...So i was in the bad books until she wanted aftersun put on LOL...She did enjoy the beach party though and it was a gorgeous day for it...Managed to mow the postage stamp sized bit of grass...Think i broke the strimmer though...Oh well at least it wasn't the mower it belongs to bloke downstairs...Lost 2 n half lbs when i got weighed tonight...Should have been more as that was over 2 weeks but not eaten properly this past week...Still it's a loss which is better than a gain :o) ...Toodle pip tc xx

Mon

Wish i'd gone up earlier to see mum but big sis said she would be okies so i went at normal visiting time...She was very very very upset so they had drawn the curtain round her...Good news is she may get home on wed will find more today...Big sis has come in this afternoon because of yesterdays news and i will go up tonight...I left my number as a 2nd contact with the ward sister last night and said phone anytime as i am only 5 mins drive from the hossy...She will be out before the funeral as 2 of my uncles granddaughters graduate on thurs so funeral not till after then...Maybe i shouldn't be writing this for anyone to see but it was sudden really...Ok so he was 75 but he had just done a sponsored walk of a fair old distance (15-20miles) just 3-4 weeks ago...Then suddenly takes ill and no idea what it was...Braver man than i will ever be as it was him who asked them to switch off machines yesterday...If mum hadn't been going to be out in time i was going to kidnap her to take her up to the funeral...

On a lighter note it is a beautiful, hot, sunny day...Daughter has gone to a beach party/BBQ with the young carers...Last 2 summers when they have gone it has poured with rain the day it was arranged for...She better remember to put on the suntan lotion...Got her one that has built in insect repellant...She is allergic to midge bites :o( ...We found this out 2 summers ago when she came home from a weekend away with youth action committee...Her body was covered in massive lumps and when i say massive i mean at least as big as a 50p...GP said allergy to midges...Bit of a bummer as Scotland is full of the blighters...Cleaned most of the living room need to do more though...Going to go and clean out my kitchen just now as i need to do something to keep busy...Toodle Pip tc xx

Saturday, 9 July 2005

Saturday

Update on mum is that she is fine and looking much better :o) ...Little sis phoned to tell me and she may get home next thursday <fingers crossed> ...No word on my uncle though...I am going to visit her tomorrow evening so will hopefully know more then.

Car is still clean WOOHOO!!!!...Spent today cleaning up my utter tip of a living room, next will do the boys bedroom (spare us all from messy teenage boys)...Nothing else happening.

People who know me say am strong and have a lot to put up with and that they couldn't do the same...Well i don't think so i am just a mum doing what any mum would do for their children...Go read this journal as this is someone who is STRONG and BRAVE and an absolute HERO regardless of what he thinks along with the rest of the people who helped out on thurs...

Fri

Big sis phoned this morning to say she'd phoned to see how mum was and got told she was fine...She also wants more nighties taken in to her...Where the ones she has asked for big sis doesn't know so i will ask tomorrow when i take the set i washed tonight back up...Wasn't going to visit tomorrow but will nip up there with the pyjamas and dressing gown i took home today...She'll need the dressing gown as she only had one in with her...She was looking a bit better today and they have put drains back in...I don't want to go into exactly what and why is happening though...When we got there today i had to blink to find her in the ward...The room she is in has 6 beds in it and she was in the far left bed...It was empty!!!! took me a few seconds to realise she had been moved to the middle left bed DOH!!...She was pleased to see us though :o) ...No word about my uncle as i haven't seen anyone but i guess no news means he's either the same or at least hasn't got worse...Apparently my brother and his wife were going to visit her tonight...Guess what!!!! They haven't bothered to deign any of us with a phonecall to say how she is...I am NOT phoning him again, i don't care if am asked to phone him am not...If he moans tough...It is easier for me to just ignore and not bother with him as i live 70 miles from mum, sisters and him...Tried to phone little sis but her mobile was off...Shocked mum by wearing a skirt <gggg> Don't think she has seen me in a skirt for years n years LOL...Daughter told her that her next youth parliament meeting is being held in the wee village where i grew up and mum and big sis still live...Goodness knows why as there is nothing to do in the evenings unless you play golf or play bowls...It does have a nice beach and the BEST ice cream in the world though...Daughter is sorted for somewhere to live for it though...We left visiting mum early as she had 2 visitors from back home...Nice people just youngest couldn't cope with 2 strangers and said it was too crowded now...The man lovely lovely bloke who would do anything for anyone but he is one of these really earnest people who is a bit too in your face for my youngest to handle or cope with...They understood though as they know about the boys...Thank you everyone again for the kind comments left :o)

Rest of today lets see i went to the gym LOL...Did my weights workout today...Managed to do the leg extension one at the weight i have been supposed to be using for the last 6 weeks for first time ROFL...Got told on wed 10 lengths of the pool is enough of a cool down after all the weights so don't feel quite so knackered today...Also went to matalan to buy youngest those mid length trousers as he accidently ripped the ones i got him last week <sigh>...Washed the car tonight as when i got up this morning i think every single bird who lives around me decided to use my car as a loo...I swear there was more white on my car than the red it is LOL...After i came out of the gym it was even more white and after we got out of the hospital even more bird poo on it <sigh>...Acted like the mad woman and shouted up at the sky when i finished washing it 'Any of you birds **** on my car tonight and you are so dead' LOL...Maxwell got booted WAHAY!!!!! So didn't like him at all...The looks on Craig and Anthony faces was priceless ROFL...Daughter was watching UKTVStyle extreme makeover home edition...It was one i had seen before and i am not ashamed to say i cried again when watching it...They did up a house for a family where both the parents were deaf and the youngest son was blind and autistic...Most of the editions are moving but this one is especially moving...It's nice to see good in the world when so much horror is again in the headlines...I have changed my buddy icon from the autism ribbon to a black one for yesterday...Toodle Pip take care all xx

thurs

Mum got her op at lunchtime and all the first nurse would tell me when i phoned was that she is comfortable...I asked what they had done and got told due to confidentiality i couldn't get told but was welcome to visit <grrrrr>...Explained i was wanting to know more and wouldn't be visiting as mum reacts badly to a local anaesthetic let alone a general...Said there was a letter for her from a different hospital...So nurse went said she'd go speak to the nurse looking after her and the sister came on the phone instead...The sister told me they had put in 2 drains again althought not permanent ones...Just hope this works for good this time as it's distressing my mum so much...I've never seen her so down as she has been over the last year except when my dad died years ago :o( ...Am going up tomorrow afternoon to visit so will see what they say then...My older sis got told when she phoned tonight they had never heard of mum!!!!!...Then they found her FFS...No word about my uncle but wasn't expecting any today.

Been to the gym where i found out about the atrocities in london :o( ...I cannot and do not want to understand people who can do something like that...Horrible horrible horrible...The people i know who live in london are safe <phew> my heart goes out to everyone caught up in it and those who had loved ones die or seriously injured.

Had a call this afternoon asking if eldest would be willing to take part in more to do with the autism strategy stuff i was at the other week...They want views and input from adults, teenagers and children with aspergers/autism too...He said he would talk to the person doing it so that will happen next fri...Also same person who phoned me has put youngest down for free music therapy even though he is not able to take part in the trial over the holidays...I've been wanting music therapy for him ever since he was tiny and finally we are getting it free up here :o) ...That's it for today so Toodle pipand everyone take care xx

Laters

Been up to visit this afternoon...Mum looks awful but at least she got edible food at lunchtime...They've done 2 scans today and she will be getting operated on tomorrow...Not going to visit until fri now as no point going up tomorrow night...Just hope it works properly this time...My uncle is still the same :o( ...Spoke to my aunt and cousin as they popped in to see mum...Am very worried about them both so not going to talk much...Suppose i should phone brother and let him know how she is today...Actually i really can't be bothered so sod it.

So London got the olympics WAHAY!!!!!...I know people will moan it will cost a fortune but i think it will be fantastic for the country...It may even stop the political correctness brigade from trying to disband proper school sports days...It will encourgae more young people to take part in sport and to compete and that is healthy...I was in the gym when the announcement was made and a big cheer went up :o) ...I do think that the encouragement of young people in sport had a big part to play in london being awarded them...Also the fact that britain is one of the biggest in taking part in the paralympics must have played a huge part in the award.

Not got much else to except the weather is minging LOL...Now minging was a good old fashioned scottish word for horrible long before the media jumped on the bandwagon with big brother number wotever, the one with jade thingy...Annoys me sometimes that words are made out to be new when they aren't...Actually the weather is worse than minging as it's rained non-stop all day...Gonna have a relaxing soak laters as my head aches...Not an actual headache as such just an aching head probs due to stress...Daughter is off out watching the live screening of tonights Live 8 concert in edinburgh on the big screen up here...Shame that one is not being shown live on the telly nor online :o( ...Toodle pip xx

Wed

My brother is a prat, my sister in law i cannot say what i think on here or i will lose my account...

Uncle is still in same place :o(  ...Not much change in him yet :o(  Mum is getting taken to theatre on thurs to be drained and a permanent drain put in...They should have done this months ago but were scared of infection...So instead she has been getting extremely ill instead...

Older sis came in this afternoon and i went up on my own after i picked up the boys then dropped them off at home...Typical we ask a nurse what is happening and she didn't know...Sis went off to find a proper nurse and they still claimed mum was on the drip!!!...She wasn't that had finished before either of us got there duh!!!...Didn't want to take the kids up in case she still had it in as youngest especially doesn't take well to that kind of thing...Sis left to get home before rush hour started and just typical the doctors came round again about 10 mins after she left <sigh> ...doctors said about what they were going to do on thurs...So i went home to make tea for kids and to phone everyone...Sis wasn't home yet but told my niece...Got younger sis on her mobile on her hols to let her know what happening...Older sis phoned and warned me brother was supposed to be visiting...Got his number off her (she had got it off mum)...See he doesn't even give us his new phone number...When i say new they actually moved into that house almost 2 years ago...Phoned got his daughter who was very cagey and didn't say where her folks were...Said okies can you tell them i phoned (gave my name) and said it was about granny...Then i was told oh well they may be on their way in to visit...FFS what is it with my brother and his family...Anyways my brother had several pops at big sis on phone this morning claiming he didn't know mum had been in hospital last dec...HE DID...Got on at her for going on her hols last year when mum was in getting the op she had that has resulted in what is happening now...SHE DIDN'T...Her hols were after mum got home and mum told her to go as she could stay with little sis...We are all fed up of his lieing, his holier than thout attitude, him playing the caring son act...Oh i could go on and on but i won't bore you to tears...His wife ONLY goes to see mum IF she is in hospital...She has never ONCE visited her at home...In fact mum has been in that house 8 years and she has only been in it once FFS...My kids didn't know who they were tonight...Well daughter did, eldest knew the man was my brother but not who the woman was, youngest didn't know who they were but showed the man his certificates anyway...My mum was really pleased to see my 3 and youngest talked none stop to her which is something he doesn't generally do :o) ...Mum kept going on about all my 3's latest achievements ROFL...Not like we're allowed to know anything about their 3 kids unless someone tells us in the street :o( ...Gonna go quiz as i can't sleep...Thanks for the kind comments left yesterday :o) Toodle pip xx

Tues

Got up early to go to gym hoping to leave everyone else asleep in bed...Eldest had got up but just wanted brekkie then got into my bed to sit and play on the gameboy...Just before i went to leave got a phonecall off one of my neices...Answered her question as best i could then my sister wanted a word...They were on their way into the city but before they left big sis had phoned GP to go see my mum...So i went to the gym then phoned mum when i got home...Her gp hadn't been in yet...An hour later just as me and youngest were about to go out she phoned...She was being sent into hospital here :o( ...Big sis was on her way back home by then...Little sis is on a camping holiday with her family...Took youngest out to do his shopping and me to bank to pay a bill...Got home phoned mum, big sis can't take her in till much later so she was going to try get my bro to do it...Upshot is big sis phoned 45 mins later to say bro was on his way in with mum...So i went up to be there when they arrived...See am the only one of my immediate family who lives in the city the rest of them are further north...I wanted to be there when they got in as i don't trust my bro...I wanted to hear what the doctors were going to say so i could then phone and inform people correctly...Just as well i did as brother is such a <cossable words> ...Anyways mum is in hossy and was being put on an antibiotic drip tonight :o(  ...One of my uncles is also in same hossy extremely ill and in intensive care...Missed weightwatchers, don't care...Going off now as i am emotionally tired...Toodle Pip & take care xx

Sat/sun

In answer to Jules comment on previous entry...Yeah she does get any medicines in either soluble or syrup form...Thing is she's almost 18 now and often the syrup versions are for young children...I just can't understand how if you can swallow a sweet or some kind of food you can't swallow a pill!!!!...Ok i can kinda understand not being able to swallow big pills but hayfever ones are so teensy you can barely see them...Am afraid i am a rotten mum in that if she is ill she doesn't get much sympathy as she refuses meds to help...She had a hellish time when it's that time of the month and any meds the GP can give her to help you just don't get in any other form except for pills...

Eldest had his last skiing lesson until after the summer holidays...He passed his level 4 this week :o) ...Last week the instructor passed him for some of it but not all...This week his toe was much better and he was able to ski as well as he usually can as a result...He is really looking forward to trying out the snowboarding during the hols now...Just hope that if he manages to pass the level 1 at the end of that week he will then be able to get into a level 2 class after the hols have finished...Fingers crossed...Youngest went to cinema with his worker in the early afternoon...Not particularly to see the film but so he could see the trailer for the new Harry Potter film...The trailer wasn't shown duh!!!  He doesn't seem to upset though <phew> ...He also took his 50 bucks as he called it and got it changed at the post office...The main post office up here is open until 5pm on a sat :o) ...He got £26 and some loose change...He hasn't spent it yet though but plenty time to think of something to buy...Daughter was out all day from noon onwards...I ordered the boys that regardless of what they wanted to see on any sky channel yesterday TOUGH!!!! Mum is watching Live8...

Did anyone watch it at all???? I heard a few moans that it wasn't as good as Live Aid back in 1985...We all get nostalgic though and there were a few dodgy notes sung at live aid too as well as in my opinion utter rubbish groups/artists...We all like to remember the good, outstanding ones though...I was online whilst watching it too so i could view the live stream from the different gigs...Greenday rocked in berlin and we had sound turned down on the telly to listen to them...Muse were brilliant in Paris (did same for them) ...U2 i found a bit disappointing they were on too early for the crowd to have got going, but they had to be to get to their gig later in the day...For me the oustanding acts of the day in Hyde Park were Robbie and Pink Floyd...Robbie took that crowd and got them going and had them in the palm of his hands as he does so damn well...Whatever anyone says about him he man is an entertainer first and foremost...Pink Floyd well wow, awesome, fantastic, brilliant...Seeing them all together on stage for the first time in so long and burying their differences was just amazing...I like the scissor sisters but hey take note THAT is how comfortabely numb is sung...Am maybe sad but i got shivers when floyd were playing...Maybe it will all be one glorious failure i do hope not...The powers that be better have taken note of what went on yesterday and DO SOMETHING...Not every country in africa is run by some despot dictator, they are not all ravaged by war...Some of them are just desperately poor and need help...Anyway i am not going to get all political here...I enjoyed the concert...I didn't like all the acts but there was a good mix to suit everyone's tastes...We did channel hop with the tennis...It is a bit of a shame that one of the best ladies finals ever was overshadowed by Live8 but hey ho...Watching the F1 just now then going to strip all the beds again and get rid of nasty horrid pollen...Going to the gym later as the kids are just chilling and don't want to go out even though it is a lovely day...Toodle pip for now xx

hayfever, strawbs and bits n bobs

Daughter is feeling a lot better...Well she still sniffing and sneezing loads but she won't swallow pills <sigh> ...On monday i am going to phone GP and try get an appointment for eldes lad as his hayfever is getting so bad now :o( ...Poor thing he is so miserable all the time and it is really doing his head in...They are saying on the telly that this is the worst year for hayfever since 1976 and lots are suffering who don't normally get it...Think that is what daughter has...For those who do get it every year it is just misery all the way just now...What i do find strange is eldest has never been offered antihistamine injections...The antihistamines he is on just now are not helping in the slightest...Or maybe they are so i dread to think what he would be like if he wasn't taking them...As with a lot of ASD people he detests having his hair washed...As the pollen sticks to your hair then you really need to wash it every night before you go to bed...If you don't then it sticks to your pillows and bedding...It will be time soon to go buy him new pillows for his bed as he won't wash his hair often enough for my liking just now...

Just now i seem to be eating strawberries by the bucketload LOL...I've been buying a box full everytime i go down to the gym at the asda next door...Trying to eat them instead of sweets...Today when i went shopping in the afternoon my daughter came with me...In sainsburys she put two boxes of strawbs in the trolley...Asked her why so many and she replied 'so i can actually get some' LOL...We actually went out to farmfoods so we could get plenty ice lollies & ice cream as it is so hot...Think i need to defrost the freezer though...

School has broken up for the summer holidays here today or as i say 6 weeks of hell LOL...Both boys have been at each others throats for the last few days...Hopefully they will settle donw now the hols have actually arrived...They've been told i am still going to the gym even though they are off school...I'll just get up at same time youngest would normally for school and go then...Went this morning and did all the machine stuff and my shoulders don't ache as much as they did on wed...Took a friend to the hospital yesterday so didn't go to gym...As she doesn't drive we went shopping at matalan after...She made me buy a denim skirt...What is itwith my friends just now they are all trying to make me girlie <shudder> ...I really so don't do girlie...I was chuffed though as this skirt is not elasticated waistband...It isn't stretch denim either and i got into a size i didn't think i would...Still have a long long way to go though...

I've almost got everything reinstalled on my puter after last weeks debacle...The firewall i downloaded blocked my broadband though LOL...I told it to allow it access but it still blocked it...I promptly uninstalled it and asked someone i know what to put in place so i can get online once i install it again LOL...I really do wish i was more technical and knew stuff LOL...Anyways toodle pip for now xx
