Bad mum TUT

M is never ill...He very occasionally gets sick but not often and never anything to bother the GP with...But he had an appointment today about his bloody noses...Now they as i said to my GP run in the family...GP said bad joke LOL...I hadn't even noticed that pun DUH!!!...But they do run in the family no pun intended...My maternal grandad got them, some of my mums brothers got them and various other relatives down the line on mums side get them...G is fine but both K and M get them...K has had her nose cauterised several times over the years but M never has...But after the really bad one back at the end of june and several minor ones over the holidays i thought i best that he had it seen to...Also back around may he had a blocked ear and he kept making weird faces to try and pop it...After the blocked ear went away he kept making the faces and being autistic i thought bad habit he has got into...Well am wrong on all counts...He has an infection in his nose which is causing the nose bleeds...How the doctor and nurse he saw in A&E didn't see that well am saying nowt...So the infection is causing the nose bleeds...And the infection is xausing his ear to block...So he has cream to put up his nose, antibiotics to take and then after 2 weeks of them a nasal spray...And in a month he has to go back and possibly get it cauterised...He's now sat here being an absolute wee shit to me about it all...Like i said he's never ill...He is refusing to take the meds...He says meds are dangerous and he might get side effects...He's being very very autistic about it all...I HATE moments like this when his autism really shows up...Most of the time now he is fairly manageable and you wouldn't tell there was anything 'wrong' with him...Am going to have to talk to school because i can't get it through to him he needs the medication.

On another note which is slightly more cheery...I spoke to bloke who owns our corner shop and he's told me to steer clear of business gateway as they will give me advice that i really don't need when working from home...Most of what i will need to know i can actually find out for myself and phone the respective places to get it....And that will cost me NOWT :o) Also i totally forgot that one of K's friends her dad advises people on stuff like this as his job...If am gonna pay anyone i'd rather pay him...One of my pals is an accountant and they can give me some advice on that side of things...My cutting tool thingy that also creases was getting a bit past it...Well the creasing part was losing the will to live LOL...Poor thing i made it work so hard creasing around 300 lots of card into actual cards to decorate...Also the cutting edge on that one didn't cut translucent paper very well...It kind of left a slightly folded over edge on it...Translucent paper being like tracing paper...I was wanting to buy a gullotine instead but the best one i've seen is £40 which i can't afford just now...And when i went back and looked at them again the only one with different edged blades was too small for my purposes...But i have got myself a fab, very sharp rotary cutter from Asda...6 different blades, 12 inch steel rule (that will make 4 i have LOL), scalpel and sharp as anything...It has straight edge, creasing edge, wavy edge, zigzag edge, deckle edge and perforator...The perforator on my other cutting thing i prefer but hey ho...The wavy, zigzag and deckle well the difference is miniscule...But it cuts so cleanly and cuts the translucent paper perfectly...And only cost £15 :o) I may buy a spare whilst they have them in stock LOL...And my wonderful little sis has come up with a name for me :o) Am not gonna say what it is yet as i don't want to jinx it...But M thinks it's catchy and he actually 'gets' it :o)  Anyways better go and get them off to club after eggheads...To those i know who read here who have been under the weather to say the least am still praying you are recovering.

Mini Rant

School went back today HURRAH...M came home from school with both his SEN school timetable and his mainstream maths timetable, no hurrah there...What school goes and totally and utterly changes the timetable on the first day of a new school year!!!!!!...Bearing in mind they actually start the next school year in June once all the 4th, 5th and 6th year exams are finished...So they were already on the 4th year timetable...And now it's been turned upside down...So i have been on the phone to M's SEN school, the mainstream school, the public transport unit and his taxi firm...Whats the betting i will still get mr doddery arriving tomorrow morning at 7.30am to pick up M ROFL...He's now at the mainstream school for 1 period on a tues afternoon, 1 period on a wed afternoon, 1 period on a thurs morning and a double period on a fri...Fridays are OUT after this fri coming as he will be at college...He needs transport from mainstream on a thurs morning and home on a wed afternoon...I can see me tomorrow afternoon getting a call from the mainstream school asking why he's not been picked up...Also i really need to buy another sweatshirt for the mainstream school...4 days a week with no break to wash it he will need 2 instead of 1...At least he has plenty black trousers and i got him black trainers yesterday and he still has black shoes...Must remember to take back one of the polo shirts i bought in Asda as i bought 1 in the wrong size...Am a bit miffed as well that his SEN school is now doing Caledonia Awards with the pupils...It's on a fri afternoon so the pupils who are at college won't get to do them...Which i think is very unfair...There are only 3 pupils going to college, they could have arranged it for a time when ALL the older pupils were in school...There isn't any info online about these awards...I get impression they are done through schools only...They are similar to Duke of Edinburgh awards but specifically for pupils with special needs...And designed around special needs and to cater for special needs...And things like that always look good on a CV when just leaving school...Mind you through the Triple A team then both the boys are going to be doing the Youth Achievment Awards...Again it is similar to Duke of Edinburgh awards...Except i think there is more community stuff involved in them...Am not too sure to be honest LOL...I know the Youth Achievment ones are UK wide...There's a bit on this link about them.

Welcome to Youth Scotland

Anyways mini rant over i have to go make sure the boys are ready for club...Oh and G spoke to his technological studies teacher and his teacher is appealing all exams he reckons should be appealed...So never know G may end up with 3 A passes instead of the 2 A passes and B pass he has just now...Fingers crossed

Not a lot really

Well AOL is either going capput on my computer or it's on a mega go slow in general and has been since tues...Am hoping it's the latter but knowing my luck it is the former...Anyways i got a letter on sat from my GP...The nurse was right and he was wrong and my results had come back quick...And they're normal, shock NOT, so he's refered me to gynae...How long that will take goodness knows...They're usually fairly quick in getting back to you with an appointment...Just the appointment is weeks or months away LOL...Oh and a big thank you to everyone who left a comment congratulating G :o) Do hope that any of you who had kids or grandkids or friends waiting for results in England today got the results they were after...I dunno if as a parent i could cope with the way it mainly works south of the border...In Scotland as you do highers a year earlier than A levels are done then if you've done well you often get an unconditional acceptance for uni or college...Having to wait and see what you got before you can get your place confirmed must be absolute hell...K had unconditional places but if G gets a conditional then next summer i will be unbearable to live with because of the tension.

Yesterday we went north to visit mum and my sisters...I feel real bad as it's end of the hols and we only just got up there...I'd have prefered to do more than one visit...Younger sis got a car yesterday...It's not a replacement for the one she had the accident in as they were going to get her a small runabout for going to college with...She's doing an alternative medicines course over the next college year...I really should have had her doing some reiki on me yesterday...She has done some at local evening classes and the college course is to get the qualifications...So they got a runabout and are still hunting for a replacement for the main car...I thought i may have found one but my brother in law is being all girlie and only wanting a particular colour...Poor mum didn't know we were visiting yesterday until i phoned her in the morning...I'd been trying to get a hold of sis for a few days to see which one was best for her...Midnight on tues she texted saying wed LOL...We had a pleasant day though :o) My newphew went to show me his quad bike but it wouldn't start for him to have a run about in the garden showing off...They live on a private road so he can go up and down it...Their garden is still as it was when the house was being built so he can go around on it...Him and the lads next door have made a track around the burn they live beside as well...Looks like great fun and i would have liked a go LOL...Now i need to go shopping for new jeans for G for school as his are all ripped to bits...Possibly new black trousers for M for school...I may be able to fix the ones he had that the fastening broke on though...He does need new white polo shirts...I will be buying cheap ones and not school logo ones...As they wear a sweatshirt i see no point in paying a fortune for ones with a logo...Not like you're going to see the logo and to be honest they're not that great quality...He has a new school fleece though...That is for his SEN school and was a new item of uniform they introduced just before the hols...I won't take the boys with me as school is a swear word just now <g> Besides i know the size needed....For G they have no uniform and basically he just needs a couple of new tops and some jeans or casual trousers...And i apparently am still allowed to buy him clothing as i buy cool clothes LOL...I just worry that i am inflicting a specific style on him....I tend to buy him kind of indy, rocky kind of stuff...T shirts and tops can be a bit of a pain at times as neither he nor me want them all plain and a lot with patterns or stuff on them are not really suitable...Like he won't wear one with a saying about beer or girls on it LOL...He says he can't as he's not 18 yet LOL

Once school is back am thinking of going up to business gateway to have a natter with the people there...I've been looking at but got terribly confused with domain names and how to go about that...I had loads of those small sticky labels with name, addy, phone number on them that a friend got me for my birthday one year...Many moons ago when i did craft fairs so i could put them on my goods...And i have very few left...But i don't want to get more yet as i a) want a name for the business b) get a new pay as u go sim for old moby so i have a mobile number on them and c) would like a website and email addy on them...Be same for business cards as well...My youngest sis eldest daughter is really good at writing verses...She made a fab card for her sister's birthday with a verse she made up herself...I half joked at her that she could write some verses for me and i would pay her for them...I askedher and my sis and my mum how much they would be willing to pay for the card i made for my niece...It was a more simple design with no wire embellishments...And they were all useless at giving me a rough price...Sis said to check out prices in shops and such like...I said i have and am still unsure...Am scared to put on too high a price but at same time i don't want to make them too low...Stuart wasn't much use about a price for card i did for him for J either...But he's male so he can be excused <g>  ...Waits for slap off stuart now <ggg> The glass painting will be easier...I've sold it in the past, been told off for low prices and bunged them up LOADS and got the vastly increased price...Now if i could find an outlet to sell some that would be great...But i couldn't charge as much as i would selling myself as the outlet have to make their money on them too...Am a wee bit miffed with Asda like...You know the filing cases you get...Well i have a couple of the plain usual sized ones that i use to store the different papers i have in...But they had small A5 size ones in groovy colours...I bought a bright pink one back in june...They don't have any now and i want at least 2 more...They are ideal for putting the cards in to show to people...Must go to another asda to see if they have any left at all...It could just be that the asda i normally go to doesn't stock them now...Anyways better go and see about what the boys want for tea...Probs not a lot as G is still recovering from meal out on sunday LOL...We went to one of those family friendly built to look old restaurants/pubs...One we hadn't been to before and we will be going back...Meals came on a 17 inch platter LOL...G had fish and chips and his haddock was the length of the platter and about 4 inches wide at the widest point LOL...Think him and me could have shared it and still been full up for days LOL...And it was cheap to eat in as well

Someone kick my bum ta :o)

First i want to apologise for severe lack of entries over the last couple of months...As i told my doctor on monday my get up and go has packed everything including the kitchen sink and is half way to mars by now...Basically i have been tired all the time and not depressed or down...I just thought it was the rather crap weather but it's not...I had blood taken by the nurse to check my iron levels...HA they will be normal they always are except once briefly whilst pregnant with G...I was tested for early menopause when i was either 30, 31 or 32...Can't remember which sorry...Well back then it wasn't early menopause and i got an operation after several months that was quite new at the time...Not a hysterectomy but classed as a mini sort of one...Then things were great for a couple of years and gradually disintegrated again...In june 2006 i was tested again for early menopause...Nopes not that and fine...On mon i got blood taken again to check...This time if am normal again then doctor is refering me back up to gyne to see about having my previous op repeated...HURRAH...Over the last 7 years every GP i have seen at my practice has said hysterectomy...Well i can't have one much though i would love one...Time in hospital is a no no...Recovery time is a no no...I ain't got time to go in as more than a day patient and i ain't got time to spend recovering from some operation...This op i can be in and out same day and there's no recovery time...Then again if it's early menopause then i can get chucked onto HRT...Be a miracle if it works as ever since i was 16 any medications to do with 'womans troubles' has worked for about 3 months then stopped bluddy working LOL...Anyways reason am tired and lethargic is am all over the shop and to be blunt losing too much blood from my body...Apologies for being so blunt, especially to the male readers but there you go.

I've spent all of this evening cutting, creasing then folding card into cards...I did go to the bead shop and it's very nice with lots of stock...Not much suitable for my purposes in card making but still a nice shop...A bit expensive but i still bought some beads LOL...And i MAY start doing some jewellery again...Combine cards with jewellery...Like nice earrings attached to the card as part of the design...So hey a pressie and card in one LOL...The beads and stuff in the shop have kinda got me interested again...They don't have the size of swarovski crystals i need though and to be honest the price they are charging for them is way too much IMO...I can get cheaper elsewhere and that's without buying online...I did buy some green glass beads that will make fab leaves on one of my design :o) ...My glass is still sat in the kitchen in the place i made for it unpainted...Mainly due to lack of energy...Someone kick my bum for me please :o)

G says thank you for the congrats as does M...You know i've been more excited about G's higher results than he has...He's so laid back about them he is positively horizontal...Typical aspergers reaction when he opened the envelope...'They're what i was expecting'...Me i've been dancing about and all hyper and excited and phoning people and everything LOLOL...It's almost as if he is embarassed and not bothered at same time...Like they're no big deal...But that is his aspergers and i know it's that so i have to just live with it...But it's time like this that the difference is noticeable...Anyways am going to quiz and then get some sleep and tomorrow i am going to make a big attempt at doing something productive...Like think of a suitable card to wish some lovely people good luck in moving to Australia <sniff> ...Oh and phone garage to get car in to get wing mirror fixed and say i'll pay my bill next week...As it is OUCH...Well £214 worth of ouch for getting the suspension fixed

WOOHOO Exam results are brills

Well am one very proud mum today...It was exam results day today in Scotland...M doesn't sit exams as such the work he does is assessed over the whole year by the school...But he passed the SQA Access stuff that he was doing...Next may he will be sitting the standard grade maths exam so he will hopefully have a standard grade on his award letter next august...G as you know if a regular reader was doing 3 subjects last school year...Usually they do 5 in 5th year but the boys in the base need base time as well as mainstream time...Anyways he has as follows:

Higher Maths                               A

Higher Graphic Communication    A

Higher Technological Studies        B

Highers are like A levels and we don't have the A* and A is the best grade you can get...Am very proud and chuffed to bits...Those grades should hopefully get him an unconditional acceptance to university...The tech studies am presuming but will be checking that the school will appeal his grade...He got an A in his prelim so they should appeal it...So WELL DONE to G and M did well to...Right am off out to the new bead shop that has opened up here and i will do my damndest NOT to spend any money in it LOL

what a div lol

Car was supposed to go back in today to get wing mirror replaced...I woke up with a stinking migraine and was barely able to phone them let alone drive it round...So i've spent most of today asleep trying to shake dratted migraine off...Am blaming the heat...Yesterday the temp gauge thingy in my car was up at 36 degrees at one point...When not being driven it sat at around 33 degrees even in the shade...When being driven it was mainly at 27 degrees...That was with ALL the windows right down...I finally set up my printer...Feel a right div like...It wasn't printing pics properly on the photo paper...So i took it back to where i bought it and they did a straight exchange...Pics still weren't printing right hmmmm...Now on the printer you set a button for photo paper and yes i had that set there...I scoured the instructions in the book and the ones that are on the computer from the installation disc...And the only instruction LISTED is to set that button...Hmmm not quite enough as it happens...You also have to make sure that when you go to print that in the print instruction properties window it is set for whatever type of paper you have in the printer...So set it to glossy photo paper and hey presto pics print right...I don't actually like glossy photo paper but it was a packet i picked up cheap...All gone now and most of it wasted on trying to get the thing to work like...I've always prefered matt or satin finish photographs...But hey it's all working now so i just need to try and use the scanner on the printer LOL...I also want to take a decent photo of each of the boys...Then i will print them as large as i can...Am going to print off the posh pic of K done in studio last year....Then find frames and get them to ex mother in laws...So either she or my ex's wife can take them to america for him...Belated 40th birthday pressie...His wife is over for august i just hope she doesn't decide to come up here to visit...Sleeping combined with painkillers has got rid of the migraine...But as ever i feel washed out and knackered from one...Better go and try and do some tea...Enjoy the nice weather whilst we have it
