ARGH dunderheid

I feel like a right dunderheided numptie...Ages ago back in nov M got a letter through about his concession bus pass...They are going scotland wide in april and being administered by the scottish exec instead of by the individual councils now...So for M's i have to go the local arts centre with the application form and a pile of identification...Now i had phoned the people who are doing it all and explained he's a child and at school and the times are very inconvenient...I also told them i won't be the only parent who is possibly having to keep their child off school to do this...Another problem is he has to have a specific type of card issued by our council...To get that card he's supposed to have official identification like 2 utility bills, council tax bill etc...Erm how can you do that when it's a child!!!...No offense to any oap's reading but this has all been geared up for them even though the concession passes are also for disabled people (child & adult) Anyway i got it sorted with the bloke on the phone that I would go down and have his birh certificate with me and he took note of it all on the computer...So that i have to do on friday...Two weeks ago G got a letter through about his...Now i wasn't well when it came in and i just skimmed over it and took note that his was being done at 2pm today...So i got all the stuff ready, filled in the form, got him to leave his bus pass and companion card at home etc...1.15pm i realised his wasn't being done at the local arts centre ARRGGHHH...Phoned them up and asked where and got told at his school...Thought noooooo i have his current pass here at home...So i had to rush out to school with the form and his cards <sigh>  I feel right daft now LOL...See G already has one of these accord cards as they use them for school meals, getting snacks/drinks from any of the machines etc...M's school being a special needs one don't have that...Next time i must read any letters properly LOL...Am gonna blame old age as it's my birthday in a couple of weeks time <ggg>

Whilst i was out there i asked when would G get any of his prelim results back...He's had his Maths one back...Quicky explanation of how standard grades work...They're our equivalent to english gcse's...There are 3 levels Foundation (6&5), General (4&3) and Credit (2&1)...Everyone does the general paper and then depending on ability you either do foundation or credit paper too...Credit is the highest level and within that a credit level 1 is the highest you can achieve...So in his maths he got all 3's in the general papers and 1's in the credit papers...So if it had been the real deal he would be awarded a Credit Level 1 :o) His english results the base were told but he hasn't been so i will save that one until tomorrow when he will get his back in class...He was expected to do this well in maths and if he hadn't then i would have felt sorry for the other kids as the paper would have been an utter nightmare LOL...Am chuffed to bits though :o)
