moby's

I've looked at the cheap mobiles on sale just now for mum...The only problem is i don't think she could cope with the small buttons they seem to have...One with bigger buttons would be better for her...M is wanting a camera phone...No idea why as he doesn't use the one he has just now LOL...One of my pals has one she doesn't use anymore as it got too heavy for her arthiritis in her wrists and it's T mobile same as M is...So might get her old one of her for him and change cover on his old nokia and give it to mum...don't think she'd appreciate a Mcfly cover LOL...I'd also get it unlocked and put a spare O2 sim card in as most of us are on O2...His one came out about 3½ years ago so has bigger buttons for mum to read...She is the worlds 2nd worst technophobe...Biggest being my pal am seeing tomorrow maybe <ggg>  There was some company did ones that were for oap's at one point but can't remember who...Jan my siggy tag today was done by the clever Sara :o)

More exam results :o)

Both the boys have just got in from school...So have just asked G did he get any results back today...So for Technological Studies he got a 3's in both the general papers and he got a 1 and a 2 in the Credit paper...Overall that means he would have got a Credit Level 1 in the real exam :o) For English so far he has got 3's in the General papers and the teacher has misplaced his Credit Paper so for the moment we're not sure what level he is sitting at...I forgot to say yesterday that the Credit Papers cancel out the results you get at General level...Also if someone does really well in the general paper who is sitting foundation then they would get the general mark for final result...Tomorrow he had graphic communication and geography so hopefully he will get those results back then...I'll have to get him something for doing so well so looks like a trip to Game will be coming soon LOL

Went to ww last night and i've lost another 1½lbs...Not bad considering i wasn't exactly good about my diet last week...I thought i was going to hopefully stay the same or have put on...This week i am going to be really really good and stick to it...Had to pop into town today to pay some bills so went looking at some shops for something to wear in march...Did see a top but didn't have time to try it on...Doubt it will be any good as i have a very long back and it's quite short...I also went looking at mobiles as my one is on it's last legs...I can't get any discount from O2 but i can trade in my old one even though it doesn't work well...So at end of the week or beginning next week am gonna go buy one...Not much use having a phone you can't use...Just now if i try and phone out the person other end can't hear me and am having problems sending texts now too...Am also going to ask about moby's that are suitable for oap's who can't use technology for my mum...She keeps saying she doesn't want or need one BUT her car broke down a couple of weeks ago and she had to try and flag someone down to help her...Told her she needs a moby and tough am buying her one for mothers day <ggg> ...My mum's sending me money for my birthday so i can either use it towards something to wear or towards a new phone...The phone i liked i did think of for K before christmas but it was over £100 then...Now it's down to £60 in sale which finished today but only going back up a tenner...Trading in will give me it for about £50 :o) Tomorrow it's the gym and possibly helping my friend set up her mums new TV...Need to phone her later and find out...It's been very very frosty and bitterly cold here but sunny at same time...Was down to at least -4 last night <shiver> my heating has had to go back on for nearly the whole day...Oh well we'll probs have snow in a couple of weeks it usually snows around my birthday LOL...Coffee time to warm up i think

ARGH dunderheid

I feel like a right dunderheided numptie...Ages ago back in nov M got a letter through about his concession bus pass...They are going scotland wide in april and being administered by the scottish exec instead of by the individual councils now...So for M's i have to go the local arts centre with the application form and a pile of identification...Now i had phoned the people who are doing it all and explained he's a child and at school and the times are very inconvenient...I also told them i won't be the only parent who is possibly having to keep their child off school to do this...Another problem is he has to have a specific type of card issued by our council...To get that card he's supposed to have official identification like 2 utility bills, council tax bill etc...Erm how can you do that when it's a child!!!...No offense to any oap's reading but this has all been geared up for them even though the concession passes are also for disabled people (child & adult) Anyway i got it sorted with the bloke on the phone that I would go down and have his birh certificate with me and he took note of it all on the computer...So that i have to do on friday...Two weeks ago G got a letter through about his...Now i wasn't well when it came in and i just skimmed over it and took note that his was being done at 2pm today...So i got all the stuff ready, filled in the form, got him to leave his bus pass and companion card at home etc...1.15pm i realised his wasn't being done at the local arts centre ARRGGHHH...Phoned them up and asked where and got told at his school...Thought noooooo i have his current pass here at home...So i had to rush out to school with the form and his cards <sigh>  I feel right daft now LOL...See G already has one of these accord cards as they use them for school meals, getting snacks/drinks from any of the machines etc...M's school being a special needs one don't have that...Next time i must read any letters properly LOL...Am gonna blame old age as it's my birthday in a couple of weeks time <ggg>

Whilst i was out there i asked when would G get any of his prelim results back...He's had his Maths one back...Quicky explanation of how standard grades work...They're our equivalent to english gcse's...There are 3 levels Foundation (6&5), General (4&3) and Credit (2&1)...Everyone does the general paper and then depending on ability you either do foundation or credit paper too...Credit is the highest level and within that a credit level 1 is the highest you can achieve...So in his maths he got all 3's in the general papers and 1's in the credit papers...So if it had been the real deal he would be awarded a Credit Level 1 :o) His english results the base were told but he hasn't been so i will save that one until tomorrow when he will get his back in class...He was expected to do this well in maths and if he hadn't then i would have felt sorry for the other kids as the paper would have been an utter nightmare LOL...Am chuffed to bits though :o)

Bits of nothingness

G is back to school properly tomorrow HURRAH!!! I can get back to doing what i usually do now LOL...Don't know how long he has to wait for his results though...Hopefully it won't be too long as his review is on 10th feb...Not really been doing anything much worth mentioning these last couple of days...I did go out with my best pal whilst the boys were at club yesterday afternoon...We had her 1½ daughter with us so was a girlie time and we bought the wee one her first handbag LOL...It's a dead cute pink cuddly toy dog one...The lead is the handle for the bag and she adored it hence we bought it...K was in agony on fri and phoned NHS24...Things have to be bad if she prefers them over her GP...She got told she will have internal bruising and soft tissue damage which could take months to heal...She got told to take ibuprofen as well as the paracetamol and that seems to be dulling the pain a bit...She can't change doctors...The other practise won't let her move to them as their is a practise on the campus grrr...Maybe in edinburgh you have to live in specific area to be with a GP within it i dunno.

Today the boys have had one of their freinds round since 2pm and he's just left...So it's been peace and quiet with them all through playing on gamecube or PS2 in the boys room :o) Their pals mum stayed for a couple of hours and we had a good old blether over a few cups of coffee...Tomorrow i have to be somewhere at 2pm i think LOL...I need to find the letter but it's all to do with G's concession bus pass...He's been given the appointment but am going on his behalf...Will explain it all after i've been tomorrow...Am off to watch the telly as Rock school has just started on channel4

alerts

Okies am not going madder than i already am and everyone seems to be having alerts problem <phew> Yes sandra it is the ones that say register a wireless device on them...I just go check that persons journal and see if they actually have an entry or not and usually they do...glad am not going bonkers though would be just like me to, like :o)

Caff xx

Thursdays rambles

Is anyone else getting alerts for entries that are weird??? I've had several today and yesterday that have (no subject) as title and when you open them just say first line that whoever it belongs to has written...Maybe it's just me LOL

So today i got M up and out to school and left G sleeping...Had warned him last night i was going to the gym so would lock the door and just leave him...Never did get to the gym as i got a call from a friend wanting some help...Her mums finally moved into her very sheltered housing flat yesterday and my pal was needing help with the TV...Now i am about as much use at techy stuff as a chocolate kettle but she's worse <ggg> Told her it's easy to tune in a telly, got told no it's not LOL...We went to buy one but it was from argos and home delivery only so being delivered next week...So she bought a remote control for the small portable telly she has just now...The remote was lost and she couldn't get it to change from itv...Was easy to do just look at brand of tv and put a code into the remote and bobs yer uncle LOL...But what a shambles with argos...They only deliver and won't unpack...NOT even under special circumstances...All we asked was could they ask the delivery blokes to unpack it and take the boxes downstairs to the bins...Is that too much to ask for goodness sake...So my pal phoned the delivery number and asked them...Eventually she got told to ask when they came, they might or they might not.

So got home decided to check emails etc before i went to asda to get some stuff...K caught me online and said she can't see a doctor until monday...Now she got told by nurse to take paracetamol and if they didn't work to come back...Paracetamol are NOT working...She's tried solpadol she had for toothache and they ain't working...Her shoulder and back are in agony :o(  She also feels some swelling in her neck...She was considering going to a different medical centre not too far from campus and on the bus route and asking if she can register there and get seen like now...Don't know if she has and if they will do that if she has gone along...One of her uni friends is registered with this pratise and said they are good...Another case of wait and hear from her <sigh> Am beginning to wonder if her being extremely accident prone as a child was this thing too...She is saying sunday was an accident but i told her to fib and phone neurology and demand to be seen asap...Two weeks ago it was this blacking out thing so it's not a complete fib LOL

M has athletics tonite so going to nip in past best mates to see how she is...At least the boys will be apart for just over an hour...All they've done yesterday and today is bicker and fight and i've had enuff...Best go have some healthy tea and maybe try this lemon yoghurt i discovered i'd bought LOL...I love pineapple and asda do a 4 pack of 2 pineapple & 2 peach...I chuck out the peach ones as no-one likes them...Went and had what i thought was pineapple this morning for brekkie and hmmm tasted strange...Was mandarin LOL i'd bought wrong 4 pack...Oh well am going daft in me old age <ggg>

TV star

M came home from school all excited saying we had to watch the local ITV news at 6 o'clock...They had been along to his school filming their Burns Supper and interviewed some of the kids...M was one of the ones interviewed...He was also filmed reading the selkirk grace for the older pupils but they showed the girl who read it for the younger pupils...They had pupils over from the music school to pipe it in and then play ceilidh music for a dance after...The music school is based at G's high school and the piper is in his year...They did show M's interview :o) So he's now chuffed to bits and saying he is famous LOL.

This is not the first time any of them have been on television...G was on tv when he was just 3 years old LOL...The assessment centre/SEN nursery he went to did a nationwide appeal for money to build a hydrotherapy pool/soft play area and he appeared in a lot of it :o)  Five and a half years ago K was interviewed on a nationwide search to find children to take part in a channel4 kids current affairs programme...She wasn't successful then but the following march i got a message left on my answering machine from some woman who said she was from tv company...I phoned back and they then phoned me as the call was going to be expensive...And to cut a long story short 3 weeks later i had a film crew at my flat LOL...It was a channel 4 schools programme called Being Different...K was chosen to appear on it to talk about being a Young Carer and how it affected her life...So we had a camerman, researcher and producer with us for a whole day...They also spoke to the boys who both appeared in the end result...I refused to take part <ggg> In the afternoon the boys went out with 2 carers and we moved down to the local carers centre to do some filming there...Heaps of footage for about 2 minutes worth of finally edited film ROFL...It was very very good though and i was extremely proud of K :o) I did get miffed with her mentioning that i had recently had earache and hurt my shoulder...K does get rather peeved that this is still repeated every year as part of the channel4 schools programming...She has appeared on news items about young carers or syp stuff since.

So there you go my *famous* kids LOL

Haggis

Well today is Burns day when we Scots are supposed to celebrate Rabbie Burns our national poet...There will be thousands of burns suppers held across the globe tonight where they'll eat haggis, neeps and tatties and read burns peoms...So today am going to tell you about one of only 2 burns suppers i've ever been to.

My high school decided to have a Burns Supper when i was in 6th year...Now one of the woodwork teachers played the pipes and it was him who was organising it all...I never had him as an actual teacher as back then us girls were discouraged from doing any *boys* subjects...He had played tha part of the dame in our school panto that christmas and me and another 6th year student had painted all the scenery...Well it gave us more stuff to put in our portfolios for applying to art school LOL...So goodness knows why but Mr Gerrard plumped on asking me to carry in the haggis...I did try to back out of it but was persuaded that it was an honour...Well i knew that but the thing is i can't stand the stuff...It's too spicy for me and i don't even like the smell of it LOL...As this Burns Supper was organised at quite short notice i had to find a tartan skirt or kilt to wear only 2 weeks before...Luckily one of our neighbours at the time had one that fitted me :o) Now when you carry the haggis in you're supposed to hold it up high in front of you on a platter...Hey no problemo it kept the thing out of my face LOL...So we weaved our way through all the tables and when we got to the top table i placed in front of the head boy Reekie (his nickname) who was addressing the haggis...Now he looked at me and i looked at him stiffling my giggles as i had done whilst carrying it in...I felt so sorry for him having to keep a very straight serious face whilst he addressed the thing...Oh and he also couldn't stand the stuff LOL...After he'd finished and sat down andgrace was said and they started serving up to everyone we both excused ourselves on pretence of needing the loo...Am sure they must have heard us howling with laughter in the room from where we'd disappeared too...You see this was at the school so they had got the dinnerladies to cook loads of haggis in those big metal trays they put in the oven...When it came to having a haggis to be carried in and addressed we realised they hadn't cooked a small proper shaped kinda one duh!!!!...So Mr Gerrard being ever innovative got a plastic bag and shoved some in with a spoon...Then him and me squished and pushed and did our best to arrange it on the platter so it looked right LOLOL...Thing is this plastic bag had a seam down it and you could see the seam across the top <ggg> Poor Reekie had no advance warning so only knew when i plonked it in front of him...He had to try and cut this bag of haggis open with a Skean Dhu as part of the address and it was hard trying to cut into a hot plastic bag without the contents splattering all over the place ROFL...We had a right old giggle about it all and i will never ever forget that night...On the whole i do think, me, the teacher and headboy managed to cover up not too badly :o)  Here's hoping M's school don't make the same mistake today...If any of you are going to one then enjoy it and have fun and don't drink too much whisky LOL

Tuesday things

Just a short entry today as it's late and i don't have much to say LOL...Tomorrow is Burns day and M is doing the Selkirk Grace at his school burns supper for the primary section :o)

Selkirk Grace

Some hae meat and cannot eat

Some cannot eat that want it

But we hae meat and we can eat

Sae let the Lord be thankit

He's really pleased he passed the audition to do it :o) But i still cannae get him tae wear a kilt...Oops i went into doric dialect mode there <ggg>  I actually had to change the way i spoke completely for the boys...When i spoke to them in my doric dialect that i grew up speaking they looked at me blankly as if i was mad and speaking some foreign language...They have problems understanding my mum, sisters, nephew and nieces but they're getting a bit better...Just as well as i am slipping back more and more to it as the years go on :o) Mind you i use it all the time on phone or when we go up north to visit LOL

K asked me for pancake recipe the other day...I still haven't finished copying my mums receipes she did for me and little sis yet...So i wrote mums receipe down in email for her and sent it...Tonight she said everyone had eaten all her pancakes...Cool i said...No not cool they ate them ALL and she didn't get any...Awwww...She's made 3 lots and put raisins in one lot, cinnamon in another and left one lot plain...YUMMY...told her they must have been good if everyone pinhed them all...She did say her neighbour felt ill this morning but that was because the greedy sod had eaten heaps of them ROFL...Serves him right <ggg> So now she's been put in charge of making loads for her mates for Shrove tuesday LOL...And that is all for today folks G has his last prelim tomorrow then he's off for rest of the week and back properly on mon...Dunno when he gets any results but i will let you know how what he gets :o)

Whoops call me braindead LOL

Oh piffle forgot something LOL...As i said G had another prelim today...So as usual i asked him how he got on when he got home...I gave him a scale of ok, good or well...Well being best...So english he felt was good, geography was well, graphic comm is also well...When i asked what about maths he just glared at me as if i was mad...So me being daft like i am said alright was maths Ok, Good, Well or fantastically, fantabulously excellent <ggg> It was the latter ROFL

Manic monday

Grrrr between the phone, taking boys to footie, me going to WW, tea when back (late tea) then reading journals and phone again am much much later posting this than i wanted to be...Never mind am here now aren't you lucky ROFL...Oh and before we go on any further i only lost 1½ lbs <sigh>

Woke up and went and woke up G...He was such a grump he wouldn't even eat brekkie...I did nag him but that didn't work...I just think brekkie is essential on day of an exam...He went off out to the taxi grumping as well gawd knows why as he loves graphic communication which was todays prelim...At least he came home in a better mood LOL...So got 2nd mr grumpy out of bed at 8...Hmmm 2 well grumpy teenage boys on a monday morning are not FUN <sigh> Anyways he tootled off in his taxi to school and i checked what time my appointment was at today...Arrgghhhh, scream no time to wash my hair it was at 10am when i thought it was at 11am...I got there in time dressed in gym kit LOL...Well plenty time i thought WRONG took me almost 15 mins to find a car parking space grrrr...Not a good morning so far...She was also running late as she couldn't get rid of people off the phone LOL

So another productive appointment...She is now going to take photos of the boys (with my permission) and take blood (again with permission) and show the photos to her colleague...This will speed thinsg up a bit and do away with having to trot backwards and forwards to a clinic for now...After looking at G's medical file not only do they have the autism, henoich schoinleins purpura in common but a sensitivity to light!!!...Told her well thats news to me that M has any eye problems...His vision has always been 20/20 and in fact he used to be jealous that K&G wore glasses and he didn't...Even after K & me explaining but your eyes are good he was still miffed to say the least the daftie :o) So she is interested to see if any of their genes are what is causing all these similarities...Actually come to think of it although G's left eye is really bad he's never that i've been told had light sensitivity...I know they both have hypersensitive hearing but that's part of the autism and very common in autistics...Basically they can hear stuff that you and me can't...Like normal lightbulbs buzzing...When i found that out it really explained a lot as to why G hated going into certain shops even as a baby...This is why i have changed nearly all the lights in the flat to halogen or long life ones...They do not hear them so don't get irritated :o) I can only imagine it must be like dogs hearing stuff us regular humans can't...And i can only imagine how annoying and frustrating it must be to live in a world where you hear sounds like that all the time :o( Anyway i digress so back on topic :o) She is booking a room to see G in and do the pic and blood at same time...M she will do that at his school :o) ...I had to sign forms for M today so that she can do them as soon as...I gave permission for the results to go to K if i am unavailable...I also gave permission for them to store any blood sample that was left over and not used for testing...This will mean in future if they need to do more tests they won't have to take more...Also i gave permission for the results to be shared by family members if needs be...If they can find some genetic link then i don't mind what they do...She asked how the holidays went and how the boys coped with K going back to uni...Hopefully next year we will be used to it all and won't be so hard to deal with...this year is one of having to adjust to the changes and they've coped pretty darn well i think...I did tell her that i wonder if M has some ADHD along with the autism and she said it is very possible...So she's going to go look at him in school and see how he is...I really really like this woman...She LISTENS to you as a parent and doesn't put you down :o) She is of the opinion that although she's got the paper qualifications the parents know better as such because they're the ones living with them day in day out and having to cope :o) Oh and i found out why what happened last feb-april came about...The kids psychology, psychiatry and paediatric depts were merged...This is probably why the letter my gp sent went to psychology instead of psychiatry...I did say well i was in absolute dire straits at the time and in desperate need of help and ok now am seeing you but it is too late for what the initial referal was for...no blame to her of course, some eejit somewhere who will more than likely blame it on a computer <sigh> I did bring up the subject of meds and said i really don't want him to be on ritalin...If he does have to try meds to calm him down i would prefer it was the epilepsy med he was on as a toddler...As i already know he has no side effects with it...She did say the only major problem with carbamazapine is it can affect their reading...Found that strange and told her so as M has been reading fluently since he was 3...Although we did get told if could slow him down which is why he ended up at the assessment centre/SEN nursery in first place...Hmmm maybe it affected other academic learning with him instead...No point in worrying just now until we see wether he is ADHD & ASD or not...She did say i was very laid back HAHAHAHA!!!! Moi laidback erm nooooooooooooo...What i do do is tend to hide the fears, frustration, tears and mini breakdowns from anyone cept my best mate and another pal with similar son...I am extremely good at putting on a *face* But yeah i guess i am pretty laidback in my attitude towards most of it all as am used to it all now

Eeeks now this is getting a very long entry and a wee bit more to say so erm bear with me please nicely with a cherry on top <ggg>  I went to the gym for first time in a month argh..Popped into asda for some bits n bobs then when i got back had to see bloke out the back and ended up nattering to him for ages...So didn't get in until 3.30pm and checked see if any phone calls...Hmmm one for K's moby so panic of course...Sent text asking 'why were you phoning, what's happened now'  God or Sir as he said he prefered being called but his friends called him <blank> IM'd me saying Hi from K...He told me what had happened so i ordered (hmmm bossy MIL suit me perhaps <gg>) him to put K's landline over to her bed...She fell last night in the union...Not the dizzy/blackout kind...She's not even sure what happened and neither is her fella...They think she either bumped against someone or tried to jump on someones back and fell on the stairs <OUCH>  So she now has a sore shoulder to go with the sore wrist...The first aider didn't send her to A&E this time but told her to go to medical centre today...Ahhh but you see my darling little miss accident prone ended up feeling very very sick and very very very sleepy not long after...Her fella bless him would not ler go to sleep until about 6am when she stopped feeling woozy and sick...Concussion for defo from those symptoms...She went and saw the nurse after i phoned at 5.30pm...Nurse checked her eyes and she's not concussed now but to take paracetamol and go back to the nurse tomorrow...I'd just like to state herethat when K was under 14 i was forever with her at kids casualty...Was funny how once she was 14 and would have to go to adult casualty she was never there LOL...No idea if last nights incident was anything to do with the dizzy/blackouts she says she wasn't but she can't remember anything...Sooner they get to the bottom of this the better for my sanity and of course for her...So wrist and shoulder what's next??? after all it comes in threes.

Sunny saturday

Tutting at myself LOL...For jeanettes fun quiz i did forget 2 very important answers...Famous person to meet i did also mean to add Robbie Williams...One day i will make that happen for M...Took 5 years to get the signed pic so am hopeful :o) Also what annoys me the most...People putting down anyone who has any kind of disability...That really, really bugs me lots...I do get rather fed up saying just because my sons are autistic spectrum doesn't mean they are thick grrrr...Same with people in wheelchairs why do others automatically think they are stupid!!!!...Rant over LOL

The boys are at club and am catching up on reading journals and boards :o) It's cold outside but the wind has gone at last and the sun is out...K managed to bribe someone to dye her hair again...She promised to worship him for a week and supply him with sweets etc LOL...As he ate ALL her benny & jerrys phish food ice cream last night then he ain't getting any sweeties <ggg> She's done it the blue/black again and it looked slightly more of a blue hue on the webcam but dunno if it will stay like that...It didn't last time and she'd have been as well just going black...I've decided i am going to get purple streaks but not sure what colour to get done with them...I want really bright purple <ggg> Now am old and my hair has finally gone dark instead of being blonde i can have fun with my hair colour :o) I'll get it done proper at hairdressers this time though

K also told me last night that her fella has found his phone...It was under his bed LOL...What are they like, they make a right pair...I see the euromillions has rolled over again and they expect it to be £100 million jackpot next week...Hmmm i'd be happy to go halves on that amount LOL...Am i greedy??? Will it ruin my life???  Maybe yes i am greedy but i would only like it to build a proper centre of excellence for autism up in my area...Most of the major stuff for autism in scotland is located within the central belt...It would be brill to have something up in the north just for a change...It probably would ruin my life but hey it would make the lives of a heck of a lot of people a helluva lot better so who cares...Oh well it is ONLY a dream, besides if we became that rich maybe Robbie would meet M so be worth it ROFL...Going to have a coffeebefore i go to pick up the boys...Oh an :oP to Stuart he's so cheeky LOLOL...No i haven't been given another 150 in the mail but do you ladies think we should make him do it <ggg> Naaa dog house instead i thinks <snigger>

Got this from a friend :o)

One Flaw In Women

Women have strengths that amaze men.

They bear hardships and they carry burdens,

but they hold happiness, love and joy.

They smile when they want to scream.

They sing when they want to cry.

They cry when they are happy

and laugh when they are nervous.

They fight for what they believe in.

They stand up to injustice.

They don't take "no" for an answer

when they believe there is a better solution.

They go without so their family can have.

They go to the doctor with a frightened friend.

They love unconditionally.

They cry when their children excel

and cheer when their friends get awards.

They are happy when they hear about

a birth or a wedding.

Their hearts break when a friend dies.

They grieve at the loss of a family member,

yet they are strong when they

think there is no strength left.

They know that a hug and a kiss

can heal a broken heart.

Women come in all shapes, sizes and colors.

They'll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you

to show how much they care about you.

The heart of a woman is what

makes the world keep turning.

They bring joy, hope and love.

They have compassion and ideas.

They give moral support to their

family and friends.

Women have vital things to say

and everything to give.

HOWEVER, IF THERE IS ONE FLAW IN WOMEN,

IT IS THAT THEY FORGET THEIR WORTH.

I am i guess incredibly guilty of that last line :o) I had to share so put it on here instead of email...No offence to the men who read my journal ;o)

Catch up

Crikey it's friday already even though it doesn't seem like it...I'd love to say i am now rich beyond my wildest dreams but we didn't even have a single number on the euromillions LOL...It's been an uneventful week hence no entries.

M decided yesterday he was feeling poorly with a sore throat so didn't go to school...With G aslo being off on study leave the 2 of them proceeded to just nark at each other all day <sigh> Told M no athletics last night as he was ill and he wasn't impressed...Guess who went back to school this morning <ggg> G was also in doing some study in the base...Had the day to myself so i did some tidying up and then lazed about doing not a lot...Actually after all the sleeplessness last week i seem to have been playing catch up this week...K's been ok this week apart from having the dentist...The one down there didn't believe she wouldn't be able to cope with them doing the work...They do now LOL...She has to go and get sedated for whatever it is that needs doing...She was always fine with the dentist until she had to get emergency treatment one sunday when she was about 6 or 7...She'd fallen and broke a tooth so i took her to the emergency one...That dentist refused to believe her that her mouth wasn't numb...Horrible man then went on to extract the broken baby tooth and left her in agony and bleeding for hours after...Basically he made a right mess of her mouth and she has been terrified ever since :o(  Oh her fella has lost his mobile this week, what a right pair they make <ggg>

The boys have fun club tomorrow afternoon and respite on sunday...Hopefully i will be down at the gym then...Didn't go this week with my body playing catch up...Am sticking to the diet though which is good :o)  On mon i am back at the psychiatrist which should be interesting...She will now have seen G's medical file so she can now compare notes on the boys...Am really interested in knowing if G had any bloods done when a toddler from chromosones...Oh well i'll see what she has found on monday...If there's nothing then she's going to do bloods on both the boys to genetic test...It may seem like a lot to do and be not very nice for the boys but i would like to know if there is a genetic link and so would K...Have a nice weekend everyone i just hope the weather gets better here...It's been a howling gale and rainy most of this week...Real horrible battering into the windows rain :o(

Monday

I give up on alerts as they seem to skip every other entry on this journal of mine...Not that i expect anyone to have it on alert but i have a friend who only reads the alerts and not the journal itself :o(

G had his maths prelim today and was a right wee so n so when he came home...I asked how he had got on bearing in mind that maths is his best subject...So the general papers he found easy peasy...He then said he was grateful for the Credit level papers as he found them more of a challenge...I said if you found it difficult it must have been really hard and i must admit i was a bit worried....Wee toerag said it was easy too just a bit more challenging than the other papers...Grrr told him don't scare me like that again...He just laughed <huff> He got injured again at footie training (serves him right LOL) This weeks it's his foot as both him and another lad went for ball at same time and feet clashed.

I was a good girl tonight and went back to weightwatchers...I haven't been since beginning nov i think <slaps hand> I knew i'd put back on some weight but not nearly as much as i thought :o) So a new year and fresh start on the old diet malarky...I hadn't stopped going to the gym during that time so that has probably helped keep some of it off...This year fingers crossed i will get down to target and be much healthier for it...that is if i don't end up ill all the time like last year but hey i only had one gall bladder and it's long gone <ggg>

I forgot to put in yesterdays entry about something i found funny at the uni...We had gone to the uni shop as i wanted to take money out of the cashpoint...On the way back we had to cross the small loch again...The students all call it the swamp as it is so murky LOL...As i said in an entry last year there are lots of ducks, swans, geese and various other birds around the uni...Lots of them live near the loch...So on the way back to K's halls we walked past the side of the loch and most of the birds were up out of the water swarming around one of the halls...When we went to cross the bridge they followed us...Was quite amusing to see about 30 odd birds rush over to swim across and follow us LOL...K turned and started shooing at them as they have now started to come up to her halls and annoy the residents in the ground floor rooms...Daft things :o) Another thing as most reading this know i am severely acrophobic to point where changing lightbulbs is a nightmare...Well on way home we got stuck on the Forth road bridge...I absolutely HATE driving across bridges and the idea of having to stop halfway across has always scared me...Didn't just happen once yesterday oh no it happened several times ARGHH...There is roadworks on the motorway as soon as you cross the bridge which were holding up the traffic :o(  I had both the boys telling me breath slowly and stay calm <bless> Am surprised my steering wheel didn't break off i was gripping it so tight my knuckles were white.

I can sleep for an extra hour tomorrow as G is not back in school until fri HURRAH...I've told him he can stay sleeping but i am going to the gym so not to worry if he wakes up and am not there...I will of course lock the door and he knows not to answer either the door or the phone if he's in on his own...Hope an alert goes out tonight for this LOL...Do please read yesterdays entry if one does :o)

Weekend away :o)

Am sure alerts are all over the place just now...Well at least with my journal LOL...Never mind just means when people get one then they can read the other entries whilst they're here <ggg>

So yesterday morning we left later than i wanted to...Had to go and buy a charger for K's phone...It had to be bought from O2 shop as no-one else sells accessories for her mobile...Cost me £19.99 <grump> So after 3/4 an hour trying to get a charger we eventually got left here...Went in past fife to ex MIL's but M refused to leave the car...He doesn't like all the animals and he doesn't like the mess in the house...Am not that tidy but at least am clean...Their pressies from their father had arrived at last...G got an electronic travel chess set, M got a astralobe planetarium and K got an i-dog...At least i don't have to paint the planets on M's thing as they come ready painted with this one...The i-dog is basically a speaker for computer, personal cd or mp3 player...It moves it's head and ears and lights flash on it to the music...It will be amusing for a couple of weeks i guess LOL...Does make her music on her lappy sound better though.

We met her fella and he met with M's approval LOL...Him and G got on great :o) Today just before we left she asked what i thought...Well he's a really nice young man and you can tell he really cares for her and looks after her :o) Am not about to go and buy a hat though <ggg> Never wear them anyways...I liked him and that's the main thing :o) After going to the campus shop to buy some ice cream and check K's new bank card worked we went over to my friends me and the boys were staying with...After a while there me and K left to go shopping at asda for her seens as how she had access to a car and mum ROFL...Boy can she shop...Actually she had nearly a whole trolley full of food for only £38 so i was impressed...Not all rubbish stuff either but fresh veggies and meat...Ok she did have crisps and sweets etc but a good mix of healthy stuff too...She ended up buying boots i wanted <grump again> Timberland style but pale blue with sheepskin lining...Too tight on my high instep <SOB> We also bought a tubi grip for her wrist...The bruising is gone and the swelling is down but it's still painful...On way to asda she told me about the gp grrrr.

So you go to see your gp because you have hurt your wrist...Now you'd expect them to look at your wrist RIGHT...Naaa WRONG with K's gp...The stupid woman kept just looking at her hand saying it was swollen slightly and the discolouration must be due to her *wierd* problem...She also tested her hand to see if it was numb...Now i dunno about anyone else and if they've ever had the prick done to check numbness...I've had that done loads and never ever has any gp, nurse or specialist drawn blood...K's gp did she'd blood pouring from her pinkie!!!...Gp told her to come back the next day but K didn't keep the appointment...The woman wasn't interested in her sore WRIST at all...Laters K and her fella went to see the first aider and he put it in a sling and sent her off to A&E...The uni pay for a taxi there and back :o) Sorry to natter on but it's really angered me...Ok yes the reason behind the fall needs investigating but at the time she was more concerned with her injury...Both the first aider and the hospital at first thought it was dislocated...K is refusing point blank to go back and see that woman as she calls her now...I wouldn't either...Told her to put in an official complaint but doubt she will.

So last night we stayed with a friend and her son and G get on like a house on fire even though there's 8 years difference in age...He's good with young kids :o) My pals toddler niece was also staying over...It was really amusing this morning as her son asked if they could take the wee one downstairs as G is almost an adult <bless> Left pals at lunchtime and went back to see K for a while before coming home...Uneventful journey home apart from me watching the moon rising up through the clouds...It was all orangey/red to start with and quite amazing to watch...So we had a nice weekend and was good to see K again although i did forget 2 things i was meant to take down...Her SYP hoodie and her guitar LOL...Am now getting glowered at for saying the word study to G <ggg> He has maths prelim tomorrow although that is his best subject and chances of him having any problems with it are -100% ROFL...Still i'd like him to do a little study so he can get used to the idea...Am off to catch up on journals and boards and hope everyone had a pleasant weekend

2 down 3 to go and more doctors LOL

Now for the sensible entry of the day although my kids would tell you i don't do sensible (cheeky so n so's)  G didn't find his english prelim as hard as he was expecting :o) Last night he went to bed fine and wasn't up and down all night like a yoyo so obviously wasn't stressed about todays...He had geography today and said it went fine :o) So that's 2 down and 3 to go...Maths is on mon and the other 2 aren't until the following week...ARGH almost a week of him off school legitamately (sp?) Wonder if he fancies doing some decoarting hehehe.

Went into town on way to M's school to pick up the photo from the local paper...£8 for a 8" x 6" photo is rather expensive...At least i think that's the size i ordered LOL...So it's in a frame now and set up for all to see...Was going to his school for his medical...The school nurse was off sick so just me and the school doctor...She wanted to speak to me before she saw him...Got all the usual questions like is he healthy, is he on any meds etc...So that was all put down as ok :o)  Then she asked how he was being at home for the last few months...Told her he is beginning to settle back down again <phew> although still has some set too's with his brother LOL...I remember being a right nasty horrid evil cow to my younger sis at their age...I do think their autism does exacerbate the usual teenage sibling fights though...She then asked how i had got on with the psychologist...I told her great and she happens to be one of the BEST professionals i have seen in the last 14 years :o) Told her she is now investigating both the boys and comparing their medical histories...She got M through and weighed him, heighted him and checked him over...He's fine apart from being overweight...I knew that anyways...I had to sign a consent form thing about sharing info with other parties involved in M's care...I have no problem with that and now that all scottish authorities are on the same system then they can share via computer and it's much easier :o) I also found out that his review next month is his future needs review grrrr...I had wondered if he was going to get one but the letter about his review didn't state it was future needs...So careers representative has to be there and also social work...Hmmm i still don't have a named social worker...Asked my friend who works in the school office which social worker it would be...I do NOT want someone who hasn't met ME or M to represent him...I tried to phone head of disabilities team when i got home but he was out and not coming back in today...So i need to phone him on monday and ask who it will be...I am hoping it can be same one who did G's review last year as she already knows us...If not then he better get whoever it is to come round for a visit quick smart as the review is next month...I have a lot of appointments already lined up so they will have to accomodate me instead me accomodating them...Don't see why i should have to rearrange stuff because someone didn't inform me correctly...Maybe that comes across as being a bit stroppy but i have found that taking no nonsense from any dept in dealing with either of the boys has always worked in the past...In the main this has never led to me being fobbed off by professionals and 95% of the time i get my way...I once had this awful social worker who as soon as she left my house i phoned to complain about...I didn;t see her again LOL...The only other time i had someone try to fob me off and make out i was a crap parent was that clinical psych in 2004-2005...Maybe i don't actually come across as stroppy rather that i know what am talking about (even when i fudge it) so they don't think they can get away with stuff...Who knows i just know what works for us :o)

Tomorrow we are going to see K...Whoops i forgot to go buy another charger for her mobile...It's not turned up at all and only place we can think of it being is in my ex BIL's car...Will phone him laters to ask if he can go looksy...I'll nip out quick and buy one before we leave anyways...Her new bank card arrived yesterday which was good timing...G got his national insurance card through this week...He opened the letter and put it to the side LOL...He's had his national insurance number since he was 3 and M has had his since he was 4 LOL...They get it issued to them when they get DLA if they are under 16...The number is their reference number for the DLA...So it's not such a big deal for them getting the card...Have a lovely weekend all :o)

Thursdays twaddle

Am feeling bit better...Well my chest is the sniffles, coughs and general yukness i can cope with...My ears and chest was only thing that bothered me enough to go see a doctor...I did have a very sore head this morning so went back to sleep...Sleep being all over the shop must have caused it.

On tues evening i got a call from a call box and it was K...She was at A&E :o(  At that point she'd had no x-ray and they thought she had dislocated her left wrist...I phoned when she got back to uni and it's a very bad sprain instead <phew> Mind you they can be much more painful...So what had happened...Well she went dizzy and fell :o(  She didn't blackout this time just dizzy then instantly fell :o(  She went next door to see the doctor (medical centre is right next to her halls) What a charming gp she has NOT...She got told if it's still sore tomorrow come back and that she was weird!!!...As her wrist was not only discoloured and getting more so but also swelling up am not impressed with a gp who won't send you for an x-ray...Her boyfriend took her to A&E laters as it was getting worse...Don't know if it was A&E or the gp who said it could be something to do with what's been happening...K did say to me it can't be as i've not had any bruising with this before...Told her no i think they mean the reason you fell hunny...She just said oh yeah duh!!!...But hey we can all not think straight when we are in pain...Upshot of this is she refuses to go back to that gp, she won't see the other one either as they're rubbish too...I don't think it is very professional for a doctor to call you weird...Especially if it's a new gp you have and you're away from home for first time...Actually am disgusted and if i lived nearer i'd be down there giving them a piece of my mind...Luckily for that doctor am not which is maybe just as well...Now if it had been our gp up here we'd see it different as we've known him years and know his sense of humour :o) I have nagged her to phone neurology and tell them what happened and ask if she can be seen sooner rather than later...Next time she may not be so lucky and could end up breaking some bones or god forbid worse...I know she's been eating properly since she went back so it is not lack of proper food...From what K and her boyfriend have told me the campus doctors just seem to want to stereotype all the students as being *typical* students living off beans on toast, getting drunk and staying up all night all the time <sigh>  Anyways i am worried and tues was one of my fears realised :o(

Got a call from my best mate at lunchtime...I can't have anything to myself can i...Oh no she just has to copy me <ggg>  She'd just been to her doctors and upshot is she is now waiting to get a scan on her gall bladder ROFL...Bets her brother is saying same as he had his out a year before me LOL...Oh well i do like to share these things around, i mean why should i be only one to suffer <ggg>  Seriously i hope it isn't and if it is then that she gets treated sooner rather than later and doesn't end up as an emergency like i did.

G started his prelims today and hopefully his english has gone well...He was up and down like a yoyo last night to the loo...He doesn't sleep much at best of times but he's never up at the loo during the night...Then at 4am he woke me to ask if he could sleep in K's room as M was snoring LOL...He seemed fine when he left for school and made sure he had brekkie...He took 3 pens just in case although they all brand new and made sure he had his *lappy* with him...The essay he had to do he was being allowed to do on the lappy :o) He has panic attacks about english :o(  The vast majority of apsergers/autistics find english really difficult...Our language is so complex and ambigious at times that for someone who thinks and speaks literally it must be a struggle...I know lots who find it easier to speak in a different language possibly because most others don't have several different meanings to one word...Or have words that sound the same but are spelt differently and mean something vastly different...Will let everyone know how he has coped another time.

K's new bank card arrived here today so she's pleased about that...We can take it down with us at the weekend :o)  The flat is a tip so i better go and think of doing some tidying up soon

Tuesday

My sleeping is shot to bits...I can only sleep in short bursts and it is mega annoying...This morning i did fall back asleep for a couple of hours when i didn't want to which is just typical LOL...Everything i eat tastes like sawdust...Haven't felt like this for quite a few years and it is so irritating.

G is off to one of his friends as it's his friends birthday today...I had to drag myself into town to get something as a present...I didn't have time yesterday when i was at the bank...Ended up buying a voucher for Game (self explanatory shop name), well it's on a plastic card now instead of paper voucher...So his pal can go and put the money towards a game he'd like to buy...I popped in to primark which was next door to get G some new jeans...Both pairs he has just now have ripped at the knees so he can't wear them to school...Because as said back at easter the head of his base told him ripped jeans are not fashionable for a boy his age <sheesh> He'll wear them outwith school LOL...His school have no uniform or clothing policy whatsoever for anyone new reading this...Got him a plain ordinary pair and a trendy pair that were on sale...Mind you even at full price in primark they're cheap :o) Got myself a skirt though goodness knows why as i don't wear them LOL...It was down to £2 i might shock people and wear it at some point...What i was trying to get was long posh style gloves for an occasion i have later in the year...Want a posh bag too but will probs borrow one of K's she has left here...The weather is miserable and cold again and it's hard knowing what to wear...Do hope am well enough by friday to go out and have a good look around the dregs of the sales LOL...Told G tomorrow evening he needs to study for his english prelim on thurs...He demanded to know how exactly he can study for that LOL...Seems it's all changed a lot since even K was doing it and am not sure what he can do either...Going to tell him when he comes home later that he can study for his geog prelim on fri instead...Am evil and a nag again once i say that <snigger>

Need a new memory LOL

Forgot to say K has had word from the hospital...She will get an appointment some time within next 26 weeks...She will get another letter 6 weeks before the appointment to tell her when it is...Now is it just me or is that a sneaky way of having you on a waiting list but NOT on waiting list if you get my drift??? I do wish she'd passed out when she was at home as i would have had her straight to A&E...As it was she didn't although she did go dizzy a few times for no reason but not actually blackout...My big sis said she had a letter similar about something she needs seeing for...Now to me ok it may not be a desperately urgent life and death thing with K BUT surely someone blacking out for no reason is a bit more urgent than having to wait half a year to be seen!!! Actually on reflection it could be life or death depending on where she blacks out and if she's on her own how she falls but don't want to dwell on that...I am going to ask her if she can phone the hospital and ask to be put on a cancellation list if they have such a thing for that dept.

monday blues

I still feel awful but hey ho at least the boys are in school so i can go back to bed once they've left :o) I did have to go to the bank this afternoon and feeling iffy i decided to take the bus...Oh joy the wind is biting cold howling gale and even with a hat on it was painful on my ears...Wouldn't surprise me if we get some snow again soon...Hopefully not as G's prelim exams start this thurs...He is going in on two none exam days to study in the base...The rest of the time he is supposed to study at home LOL...Watch out nagging mum here we come <ggg> As he is allowed extra time for a couple of them they are adding it on at the beginning rather than the end...They have to otherwise school would be finished and he'd still be in exam...I just hope that if he does well in his english prelim then he will realise he isn't a bad as he thinks and will get more confidence in it.

This week am going to spend as much time doing nothing as possible so i can get rid of this chest infection thing...M has his medical at school on fri and that is only thing on this week...We should be going down to see K at the weekend...Hopefully with a new bank card but the branch have told me to tell her to go into a branch in edinburgh to sort it out <sigh>  Her new card should have arrived here at beginning dec and it hasn't...the branch she went into last tues said it was probably held up in the christmas post!!! Hmmm don't think so...Think she had changed that her loan and bursary were getting paid into her other account so fingers crossed she hasn't had too much hassle...Personally i don't think they should send out bank cards but that they should arrange for you to pick them up from the bank...Too many go *missing* in the post and it is a worry that some horrible nasty person can steal your identity...The boys are home and they say they have football starting again tonight so best go see about some tea for them...Also going to go and see if i can win on deal or no deal LOLOL

moody docs LOL

Just got back from out of hours doctors...A friend made me go there LOL...Now seeing as how you can't visit them up here WITHOUT going through NHS24 (scottish NHSDirect) then i wasn't wasting their time...Doctor i saw was a right moody git...He really gave me the impression that i merely have a bad cold and reckon it is flu...I do NOT have the flu, i know i don't...He listened to my breathing, looked in my ears, checked my throat, took my temperature then asked me again what was wrong...Said my chest is tight and sore when i breathe...So he gave me antibiotics and am still none the wiser LOL...Oh he did ask if i'd had this before...Said yes but not for about 6 years...Stupid mardy git if i didn't have any infection then he wouldn't be giving me pills...Oh well back home to a very moody grumpy M...He can't cope if anyone is poorly and gets bad tempered and moody about it all...It's his way of showing he is worried <bless> am used to it now and so is G...After a wee while he gets remorseful and wants to hug peeps and says sorry...Gonna go lie down again for a while, hope everyone else out there is okies and if not hope you're well soon.

silence is golden PAH!!!

Today i can communicate by typing on here or by whispering as i've lost my voice...Some would say that is a good thing ROFL...Me whispering is doing M's head in so i may get a pen & paper out and write to him instead...I am so tempted to use some of G's antibiotics but will wait until monday and get some from doctor...Glad alerts seem to be happening again, i found a few journals i read with entries i didn't get alerts to...I know they can be annoying but sometimes i do like these AOL glitches it makes the place seem a lot more human LOL...Big sis phoned back last night as i had left a message...She'd gone out straight from her work with my niece, nephew and nephews wife for a meal :o) She liked her pressie from us...It was a very solid, heavy crystal dolphin...Am gonna start going up to tkmaxx regularly and buying up things when i see them if i have the money...Will put them away in a safe place to use as pressies and knowing me promptly forget where i put them <ggg> Going to read some journals and message boards now then go have another lie down.

Fridays drivel

I hav a code...Loosely translated as i have a cold LOL...Well the cold i caught just before christmas has turned nasty on me...Couldn't get through to docs in time to get an appointment today so will try again on monday...Can't really see this shifting without some antibiotics as it's now in my chest...K has BANNED me from going down to visit tomorrow LOL...She did grill me on msn last night to see how i was...She knows me to well as i said am okies...Phoned her today and as i sound like i have smoked about 100 ciggies one after the other am banned...She's quite right as usual grrrr...We will go next weekend instead.

Got the new tyre put on my car today :o) I do like my garage, new tyre £28.93 and no labour costs for putting it on...It's great when you can find tradespeople who don't rip you off...Phoned G's school and have to phone back on mon to find out arrangements for his study leave...He will go in and study in the case some days and others study at home...He's happy with that idea he's just not happy at having to do exams LOL...I put my new calendar up today, the one with the fishing boats...I couldn't put it up the other day as i wanted that particular anniversary over with first even though the one with dad is not until feb.

Watched *celeb* big brother last night...Hmmm don't know who some of them are and WHY do they have an MP on there???  Shouldn't he be looking after his constituents instead...Oh well doesn't look like it will be up to much anyways...Am off to have more hot orange with paracetamol and phone my big sis to wish her a happy birthday...She's getting older today <ggg> Age doesn't bother me but it's always bothered her especially if it has a zero on the end...She has another 8 years before she has a zero again though LOL...Do hope alerts get sent about this entry as previous 2 haven't had any sent about them <sigh>

Thursday ramblings

Hmmm did i word something wrong in last entry???...I thought it was obvious i was speaking about my sons and had made it clear that K's boyfriend lives miles away...Just wondered from the comment left by stardust...I did try to email them but ended up putting a comment myself.

Yesterday was quiet and the boys were remarkabley well behaved which was nice...Didn't phone mum i never do on that particular anniversary...None of us do which may sound horrible but she prefers to just be alone...Had G to the docs yesterday and he really does my head in at times...I tried to get him to tell the receptionist his name and which doctor he was there to see...He mumbled it so badly i ended up telling her and he got all huffy...He is 16 in march and once you're 16 then parental rights as to seeing doctor etc no longer exist...I can't remember offhand just now what it is called but there is a way around it...It's not power of attorney but similar...You can take this out for either day to day care or for money...I can of course still go in with him to doctor consultation with his permission...BUT for things like hospital, seeing his medical records, going to other medical appointments etc it would be easier to have this thing in place...It's now going to bug me so much i will be on the phone to carers centre tomorrow asking about it again...He asked me to go in with him to see the doctor as he didn't want to say why he was there...Then again when we got into the consultation room he had forgotton why he was there...Back in oct gp thought he had impetigo and he got antibiotics and antibiotic cream to use...It hasn't gone away and none of the rest of us has it and his face is much much worse...GP now reckons it's bad acne starting so put him on antibiotics for a month see if it clears up...The last time his face was like this was when he was a toddler...I stopped using polishes etc and it cleared up...Hmmm if not acne or impetigo it could be a touch of excema and something is setting it off...Will just have to wait and see...His prelims start next thurs and he's not a happy bunny LOL...He's got english on the thurs, something else on the fri, another subject on the mon...Then he has a weeks break until following mon, then last one on the wed...His taxi HAS changed as both us and the escort found out this morning when they came to pick him up...I will have to phone the base tomorrow to find out if he too gets exam leave...If he does I will tell the escort as i do NOT TRUST the base to do it.

Went round to the garage so they have ordered a new tyre to get fitted tomorrow :o) I like my small local garage...They don't charge a fortune for labour as some bigger places do...I get sent out a bill and then pay it within reasonable time...They don't try to fob me off because i am female (major bonus)...Also the new tyre will be about half the price it would cost me from major tyre/exhaust centre that is near them and i won't be charged for labour for just putting on a tyre...Younger sis has been into city again today and dropped off K's watch with links taken out...I gave her pressie for big sis and card for her birthday tomorrow...Didn't give my nephew his as i haven't made his card yet...I'll make one tonight or tomorrow morning and post it out...His birthday is on sun...Mum's been on phone and told me that she was in middle of wrapping up what she bought for me for my big sis instead LOL...She's decided to give me money so i can go to same shop and buy same or similar for myself LOL...Why she just didn't buy 3 last thurs i dunno...As it is i have plenty similar things already so would prefer to just get myself another dragon or maybe the glass shelves i have seen to display them on.

K's happily back down in edinburgh with her beloved awwww...All being okies we should be going down on saturday to deliver her stuff she didn't have room to take with her...This includes the pile of hand washing she presented me with on mon after having been at home for almost 3 weeks DUH!!!  Oh i've been buying up umpteen pairs of tigger socks from poundland LOL...I do like my tigger stuff

new year bits n bobs

K had gone out to the big street party in town with one of her friends on hogmanay...As it was being limited to 20,000 people getting entry they went down for the start at 8pm...At 10pm the were back here soaking wet and perishing cold...It had been chucking down with rain for the early bit :o( ...As her friend was staying over they got changed into their jimjams and joined the boys in their bedroom...So the 4 of them sat and played on the PS2 for hours...M has all the singing star games for the PS2...Basically it's karaoke game and you sing into these microphones plugged into the PS2...You get marked on your singing ROFL...Well at about 11:55 K asked could she phone her fella before the lines got busy so i said yes...They were on the phone until about 4am <bless>  Oh to be young and in love eh!!...The toerags got me to do the singing game...Am surprised we didn't have any breakages as i really can't sing...Poor Alice Cooper would have a heart attack as i totally and utterly murdered his song poison <ggg> The boys decided to go to bed at about 2:45am so K & her pal went back to K's room.

After K's friend got picked up to go back home on new years day we went round to my best mates in the afternoon for a while :o)  Me, K and Nat took her two wee ones out for a walk...We left my lads watching a video and her partner had just got up LOL...Came home and slobbed about doing not a lot...I cooked late as i had been ill at about 6am :o(  I wasn't drinking so wasn't that to blame...Most of what i had eaten they all had too so dunno what it was...We phoned and texted people and wished them a happy new year and just had a quiet evening.

Yesterday we got up late and i had a pile of washing to do for K going back to uni with...Wasn't impressed as she had quite a few things that needed hand washing grrrr...One of my friends came round about 8.30pm with the kids christmas pressies...I had so much fun NOT trying to make up M's one...Says on the box from age 8+  We really think it should have said 18+ LOL...It's a night sky projection kit...Well you have to prick out all the stars in the sky so the light can shine through...Really not suitable for an 8 year old...You make up the southern and northern hemispheres seperately...I have to make the northern one up today...OH JOY...Thought hmm the solar system mobile kit he got from his gran as pressie from the states is made by same people...Opened it up to have a look...Lovely you have to paint all the planets yourself before you then go construct the mobile to hang from roof...Think i prefer playing the Bullseye and Catchphrase dvd games he got for christmas <ggg> Was miffed with the catchphrase one because you don't get virtual prizes...You do on bullseye and who wants to be a millionaire pah!!!.

Today K is away back to uni :o(  Me and the boys were going to take her down but my cold is getting worse and worse...So on sunday we decided she would get a train instead...Also as i am still running the car with the spare tyre on i really don't want to do like a 300 mile round trip...We're going to go down on sat with the washing that isn't dry yet, the stuff she had no room for and her watch when we get it back on thurs...My ex BIL came round at lunchtime to say happy new year on his way back to fife...So guess who's bagged a lift <ggg> He has some uses LOL...Her fellas family were unhappy saying to him 'oh you don't like us as you're going back first day you can' LOL...I had said similar to K...But they are missing each other lots awwww...Am going to start taking down the decorations later as i want them down before tomorrow.

Tomorrow will be 19 years since my dad died :o(  I still miss him loads and i hate this time of year as such...The kids great gran died on the 1st jan last year and was buried on same day as my dad...She was a lovely lady and really the nicest out of my ex's family full stop...But we always have to be upbeat as my older sis birthday is 6th january and my youngest nephews birthday is 8th january...Got a pressie for my sis but have to go shopping for nephews...My little sis threw a wobbly when i asked her if he would like a wormery <ggg>  When she said no i said how about an ant farm...Got threatend with being disowned <ggg>  To be honest i may just get him vouchers even though he'll only be 8...Right am offski before i get down and despondant
