Curling

Well the boys are now on school easter hols and they go back on the 19th...It's hard to believe K has already had 2 weeks of her 4 week easter break...She's not back from her boyrfriends yet but will be at some point this evening...Amazing how you can stretch wed-sat to an extra couple of days LOL...G's bus pass arrived on fri and M's on sat...G's is wrong <sigh> it should have a +1 on it for a companion but it doesn't...So had to phone the office this morning to point out the mistake so they can make a new one for him...I was actually quite shocked to see that FREE bus travel only started in england on sat...Free bus travel for OAP's and disabled has been available in local area for several years in scotland...Now the boys can use their passes ANYWHERE in scotland...Would have to wait another 2 years down in england...Companion used to be half price but now they are also free

This afternoon the boys had their 2 hour taster session at curling...They really enjoyed it and we could stay and watch them...I nipped back home to get a camera to take some pics...Wether they will come out or not is another story <ggg> It was through glass so i couldn't get rid of some of the reflections...It looks so easy when you see it on the telly but it isn't...M ended up using a curling cue to push the stone with rather than delivering it by hand...G managed to do it without the cue though...Hmmm G's the one that is supposed to have problems with motor skills...Well according to madam at the base he does LOLOL...Oh btw i am now calling her hitler...Nice ain't i NOT...I do so wish i could just click her on ignore like you can on AOL...The curling season finished tomorrow so during the summer we will be sent information packs on groups that they have...Juniors is only up to around 15 years old but one of the coaches said 16 would be ok to join juniors until they come on a bit...They also have a wheelchair curling group and are looking to set up a block for children with special needs :o) ...So maybe they will have a new sport to go to come autumn time...It was mainly primary age kids who were along with not many secondary age this afternoon and the boys stood out a mile as they were so tall compared to everyone else LOL...They had a small questionaire to fill in and G put down he liked sweeping best and M put throwing the stone...He didn't he used the cue <bless>

Tomorrow they are in day respite and K has opticians and i have the doctors...My mum was maybe going to come in for a couple of hours to visit but i had to tell her am out most of the day...My doctors appointment is not long after i drop the boys off and K's is after lunch so me and K are going to go wandering about town for a while...Be nice to just have some girlie time together and have nice coffee and lunch somewhere...I've been thinking over the weekend and i may start up a private journal...I don't know if it is one i will sahre though...I've always wished that i had kept a record of everything since G was diagnosed...If i had then i could have written a book to share our experiences with others...So am going to start and try to write it down in a private blog...Maybe once i have managed to recall stuff and get it written down i may let some look at it but am not sure yet...Am hoping once i start then everything comes back to me properly...The weather is much better now although we are getting a few april showers...Hope everyone is well

Wouldn't be any point in us having free bus travel lol, there aren't enough buses to make it practical to go anywhere on them. Didn't get an alert for this btw

Caff I actually got an Alert on this one ~ Nice that the boys can travel free on the bus ~ and take a companion ~ Hope there are lots of activities going on for them ~ lots of days ahead to fill with something to do ~ the Curling sounded good ~ Pity you didn't keep that record of everything since G was diagnosed ~ but it is never to late to start ~ enjoy your days respite and time with K ~ Ally

That's a good idea for the private journal :-)  I have one for my creative writing coz I'm not sure I want to share that with people just yet lol......Glad the bus passes arrived but oh surprise one was wrong that's typical huh?  Glad the boys enjoyed the curling session :-)
