Car, footie and exams

Well my car's capput again <sigh> Smoke coming out of exhaust yesterday so it's staying put...More expense that i can't really afford :o( ...Will need to beg a lift to get my shopping done or get a taxi...Stupid thing is doing my head in now and i wish i had the money to buy a brand new one.

For those who've been reading this for ages may remember the boys went to a footie tournament last september...Well they got a letter each in about another one...This time it's the SDS (Scottish Disability Sports) national 5-a-sides...This time they hope to take 4 teams, 2 under 16's and 2 over 16's...It's at glasgow green this time and will be another long day out...This time i will be packing a change of clothes for the boys and for me having learnt my lesson from last time...Okies it's at end of may but that's no guarantee the weather won't pour with rain...For anyone who hasn't been reading my blog for very long back in sept the weather got so bad we were all soaked to the skin and how none of us got hypothermia i have no idea...Yeah they had their tracksuits last time but they had to put them on for one of the games as it was so bad and actually started hailstones...Fingers crossed their footie boots still fit them...G won't need to ask for time off as he's off on study leave anyway and M's school will be happy to let him go...5 aside will suit them better as they're used to playing in small teams against each other although they still won't be a match for the glasgow and ayrshire teams...It's experience for them though which to me is main thing :o)

Severeal nights this week we've had some eejits making a right racket (noise) in the street at sill o'clock in the morning...Glass has been getting thrown about and smashed everywhere too and mainly in front of our block :o( Yesterday afternoon when i went to take the boys to club i discovered the glass i heard being smashed in the early hours was in fact some homemade molotov cocktail :o(  When i got back my downstairs neighbour was clearing it up...I did tell him i had been going to do it when i got back...Last night there was more noise for ages and ages and more glass strewn about the street...I couldn't find the number for crimestoppers but i've looked it out today and next time am phoning them...Sick fed up of it and the homemade bomb thing is scary...Has to have been because the smashed vodka bottle was blackened and there was blankened material close to it too...I don't live in a rough area, i don't even live on some estate but in the city centre in a side street.

Gonna go watch the snooker and tidy up the living room and dust it all down again as G's hayfever has kicked in big time and any dust makes it worse...During hayfever season every day i need to dust especially if i've had the windows open or it sets him off even with his meds...I'd dread to think what he'd be like without the meds...Just hope that on the days he has exams they aren't cutting any grass around his school...His standard grade exams start on tues...They're scottish version of gcse's...He has technological studies on tues, english on wed and maths on fri...The week after he has geog and week after that he has graphic communications...He's now on study leave until the 5th of june!!!!...When i did my o'grades we got 3 weeks off...If any of our exams were later in the exam timetable then tough we were back at school and no study leave...He is going in to the base on thurs this week to study...The next week he will be in the day before his exam to study and same for the following week...Trying to get him to study at home is going to be a laff and a half...Anytime i say the S word i get glowered (glared) at LOL...English is the only one he is worried about...He really struggles with english and it stresses him so much...On tues i think i will ask his taxi escort to phone me on we morning to make sure we are awake...For his prelim he was up most of the night and last time i'd looked at clock it was like 5 or 5.30am and we're up at 7am...Don't want to sleep in...Right coffee, read paper and then dust again

Toodle pip tc xx

Yes I remember the entry well, you all got well and truly soaked !so yes take lots of clothes towels etc ,I am so sorry to hear about your car ,and the home made bombs are scary ,I think I would ring the police now and explain whats been happening then ring again if it happens ,also crime watch ,you have to make the police aware of what is happening ,if they have no reports they assume all is well ,and clearly it is not .......Jan xx
