the week in view

Been a bit of a busyish week...Been to the gym mon, tues, wed and thurs but didn't go today...Am worried i am getting addicted LOL...Mind you on thurs i did get spoken to by one of the better looking bits of scenery in the pool <G> ...That makes me sound so shallow but hey so what i can do shallow when i want to and he was as i put it a bit of alright and seemed pleasant enough to chat to :o)

Went to a talk on wed morning about the incapacity act for scotland...It was really good and very informative but rather daunting and scary at same time...I need to talk it all over with social worker and someone who has been there and done that before so i can make an informed decision on what course i will take...Basically i think i know what i want to do just need more advice...Am also unsure as to if i need to put into action what we were told about for both the boys or just youngest...Eldest is far more capable than youngest but i may do similar for both...Basically once they reach 16 they are officially adult in the eyes of the law and as such i have no legal standing with anything that they are entitled to or medical treatment etc etc...Now youngest is not the best at understanding anything when he's told in language that we all take for granted...I know how to explain things to him in a way he understands...Like when he was at hossy for dentist the other week...The first time was a failure because they wouldn't listen to what i was saying...Last time they let me take charge so it was less stressful for him, although he was still mega stressed, and they managed to get the work done...If he'd been 16 + then legally they could have just ignored me and carried on regardless...Now hopefully this wouldn't happen and my views would actually count for something but as we all know there is the odd professional who won't listen...So under the incapacity act (scotland) i can apply to court for something called welfare guardianship...This does not mean guardian as in legal guardian type thing...It's guardianship of his welfare so that i do have legal standing in the eyes of the law...It does mean that i would get visited regularly by powers that be to check up on me but that's a small price to pay...Like documents and forms etc that we all fill in and kinda understand then i could do them in his place...It's very complicated and i am not going into any details about it here...Need to find a solicitor who knows about it...

Eldest went to see star wars revenge of the sith last night and was well impressed...AWESOME was what he said when he got back home LOL and almost on a par with empire strikes back...Youngest went tonight with their carer and was upset at it...He didn't like how some of the main characters died, he found that very very sad...Eldest went away this morning with the base fine to ardroy...He phoned tonight to say they had arrived safe and already done archery which he really enjoys :o) ...Also they stopped off at blair drummond safari park on way there and he's used up nearly all his camera already LOL...Am glad he's having fun and he has got to remember to buy his sister a pressie this year...Last year he bought me one, year before he bought his brother one so it's her turn :o) ...Youngest is really missing him even though they fight all the time...HE has decided to go to club on his own tomorrow though so YIPPEE can go to the gym...See told you am getting addicted...Going on sunday is a no go as there is a 10K run and fun run down in area where my gym is so chance of getting parked is zero...Now am thinking maybe next year i might be fit enough to do the fun run...I can't actually run as such yet as my knees are still well dodgy but i could by that time walk it...I will need to find out if you have to do it specifically for the charities of the sponsors or if you can raise money for a charity of your own choice...Reminds me i need to go make a donation on another journal...

Am still peeved i am not getting to go to the rugby match next tues but i now have parents night for youngest that day anyway...Got free tickets for football on sunday but youngest is adament he is not going...Shame as he does like football but the crowd gets too much for him at times, he may change his mind at last minute though as he often does...Going now to dream of long lie in tomorrow as don't have to get up early to take eldest to skiing lessons...No doubt i will still waken at same time <sigh>...Toodle pip xx
