tuesday

Having missed ww last week when i went last night i had put on half a pound in the 2 weeks <sigh> ...She does tell me that eventually my weightloss will cath up showing on the scales with the workouts <hmmm> ...Decided yesterday to do the weight machines and swim only...Today did the cardio stuff and swim only...Hopefully i won't feel so knackered tomorrow when i wake up as i have seperated them into different days...Eventually i will put them all back together again...Am still not able to do one of the weight things for a smany repitions as my programme says as it tires my knees out...Whole point of that particular one is to strengthen the quads so my knees get better and don't lock up...Oh well it will come i guess...Not been up to much this is a quiet week in my diary...Was goign to be helping a friend move house tomorrow but not anymore...She is still moving but she has got he partner to take day off and also they were getting the keys today so she is going to stay at new house tonight so she is there for removal men in the morning...

Youngest now has £105 + £10 gift voucher but he won't be rich for long...Will go shopping on sunday for the millennium falcon he wants to buy and a game...He's really looking forward to going to the gig on sat unlike me LOL...Might take my MP3 player with me so i can listen to something i like instead ROFL...Ohhh i managed to get the radio to work on my MP3 player today...Not the best of receptions as such but hey it worked...Mind you tis better than being subjected to big brother which youngest is obsessed with...He loves all the *reality* shows and also award ceremonies for some reason...Will leave you with pic of what i'd like to do to that dratted frog ringtone thingy...Toodle Pip xx

Sunday stuff

Well youngest enjoyed his birthday :o)  He liked the pressies he got yesterday and today and up till this point is £65 and a £10 voucher better off...I'll need to ask him for a sub ROFL...Him who shall remain nameless who lives abroad actually phoned <shock> ...Youngest spoke to him on phone <mega shock> ...See youngest has refused to talk to said person for ages now on phone <shrug> ...I've done what i can do as best i can for them to have a good opinion of their father not my fault if he stuffs it up...Clun enjoyed the cake yesterday afternoon...I went to gym to workout as well as swim...Swimming cossie fits as best it can...Would prefer was bit better lengthways but am not paying out a fortune for one yet...Not that am flashing flesh i shouldn't before anyone gets funny ideas <G> ...

Today was up early to take boys to respite then came home to read papers and promptly fell asleep DUH!!!...Did waken in time to watch the grand prix...Can i be really mean and say am so glad raikkonen crashed, if not tuff i just did...Don't like him at all...Was well chuffed for coulthard coming 4th :o) shame about his drive through penalty...Had to rush out and get another cake for party before i picked up the boys from respite...Dropped eldest off at home and went to bowling alley down beach...Youngest and his four friends had a brilliant time bowling :o) ...Youngest got top score so he was happy as larry and asked for a certificate LOL...Went to burger king after and the queue was yuk...Was good seeing them all enjoy themselves so much and the cake i bought was delicious (roll on gym tomorrow to work that off lol)...Two of the mums who are friends of mine stayed so was good to have a natter whilst the kids bowled...Think they had a wee bit of a party for him at respite too...All in all been a good weekend apart from crappy weather...Today was worst one minute it's been summer and hot, next minute back to winter and bluddy freezing!!!!...

Forgot to say yesterday there was a lightsabre in Toys R Us that cost NINETY QUID!!!!...Not exactly one to play with at that price...It does have proper chrome handle etc, proper replica from the film of the darth vader one...Have a peek at their website to see it although doesn't look so good on here as it does in the shop LOL...On subject of star wars the best and only decent thing the ex has ever bought any of them was an interactive R2D2 droid robot for eldest 3 christmases ago...Never seen them for sale in UK except on ebay very occasionally...You talk to it and it does stuff for you...It does refuse to sometimes though and shakes it head saying NO in R2D2 speak LOL...Cantankerous old tin can i call it <G> ...Pic below and it's over a foot high...Oh have decided MY Mp3 player is better than youngests for simple reson it says hello and bye bye when you switch it on and off LOLOL...Toodle Pip xx

Birthday Boy

Thurs woke up with nasty headache went back to bed <ugh>

Fri went to gym did whole caboodle workout thing and now today am stiff as a board LOL...Body will get used to it though :o) ...Went got tickets for the brian macfadden gig and they had some seated ones WOOHOO!!!...Only problem is the seats aren't reserved so free for all and will have to go early and queue which is going to be a nightmare with youngest as he can't queue DUH!!...I'll cope and he better enjoy the gig as i am so lookign forward to it NOT lol...Went shopping for the birthday pressies too...Got MP3 player for him from me, lightsabre from his sis and a PS2 star wars game from his bro...Bought a smaller MP3 player for myself for using at the gym...That was fun LOL...His better be easier to use than mine as i kept managing to get it to not play ROFL...Do have it all filled up with some tunes now though...The headphones that came with it were weird, they looked daft and felt uncomfy so using my other ones...When i went and bought the MP3 players i about died as an old flame was working in the shop...Tried to avoid but failed miserably <sigh> ...So he was asking how the kids were, especially the boys...Then he asked if i still lived in same place and was i still single...Numptie here not thing said yups DUH!!!...So now in panic mode and kids are answering the door...Buzzer entry thing works again <phew> ...Am officially OUT if a certain person calls at the door...Daft thing is i kept blushing like mad whole time he was talkign to me ARGH...Am 42 not some silly young kid and am happy without having a man in my life...

Eldest was at skiing this morning in the horrible, rainy, dull, damp, miserable weather...He does love the skiing and is so much better at the jumps now :o) ...Got a cake for youngest to take to club this afternoon...Wrapped pressies when me and eldest got home...Was too tired last night after fighting with my MP3 player...The game i have to take back as silly woman in sainsburys put PC version in the box instead of PS2 one...He loves the new lightsabre as it's the anakin one that can change from blue to the red of darth vader...He likes his MP3 player and i have been ordered to put music he likes on it...Another night of fighting with one of the things looms ahead LOL...Some cards in post for him with money attached and he got some electronic drumsticks from a family friend yesterday...His party is tomorrow after respite so should be fun...No post or phonecall from america yet from his father <sigh> ...Can almost guarantee he's sent a lightsabre, i do wish he'd say what he's getting them to me so i can then get somethign different but he refuses to saying it's none of my business <insert cossable words here> ...Feel really mega stiff today so going to go for a nice gentle swim to ease all the cricks...OH youngests ex girlfriend turned up at the door this morning wanting to still be friends LOL...Luckily me and eldest were about to leave so she couldn't stay as i could see tension crackling in the air...He did say but you dumped me so go away...Anyways enuff rubbish from me i better go see if new swimming cossie fits...Pic below made ma laugh :o) ...Toodle pip xx

Gym stuff

Well i almost missed my appointment this morning as i fell back to sleep mid brekkie once youngest had left for school DUH!!!!!!...I got there 5 mins late oops, i hate being late...Was okies though and was a very nice man who did my induction...As well as showing me how to use 4 of the resistance/weight machines he wrote out a training programme for me :o) ...So now i have the cardiovascular exercise programme which i can do any day am down there...Also have the Resistance/Weights programme which am only allowed to do 3 days a week max. and must leave a day between each time i do it...Also you know them exercise ball things, well i have to do situps on one of them LOL...My warm up which i presume i do before R/W stuff even if not doing CV stuff is treadmill at slow pace LOLOL...My treadmill pace is SLOW i can't do fast...I also have a target heart rate when exercising to reach...Have to write on card every time am at the gym...Also have to make appointment to go back see lovely nice trainer man for a review in 4 weeks time...No cool down written but as i told him i ALWAYS go for a swim after i presume that's why he didn't bother LOL...Am so glad i got one of the blokeys this time as i didn't like the woman i got for last induction...Besides nice trainer man is much much easier on the eye to look at <GGGG> ...Tall, dark, fit with luffly eyes and a very nice bum...See i can still do shallow LOL...And that for you ladies out there is a good side effect of joining a gym the male TOTTY <ggg>...Actually this trainer seemed to take more seriously, the fact am on a weightloss programme, and want to exercise so i don't need to go get drastic surgery done to get rid of excess skin once i lose as much as i intend to...

Rest of the day i spent doing some housework <yuk> and chatting to downstairs neighbour...Now am not that keen on downstairs neighbour BUT his gas supplier sent him a bill for the quarter that would be more than the whole block (6 flats) bill for about 2 years!!!!...Call centre admitted a serious mistake had been made BUT head office are now threatening him with being cut off and debt collectors coming to get the dosh!!!!...I do hope he manages to get it sorted out...Don't particularly like liverpool but they are from UK so well done them on winning european cup...

You look like that I'll leave my wife ;-)
Comment from sdrogerson - 24/05/05 16:41

Your wife is safe am never gonna look like that even by losing weight and going to gym LOL...Toodle Pip xx

tuesday

Had to get up earlier today as eldest now back home LOL...So didn't want to get out of bed but hey ho...Once youngest had left for school i managed to get myself sorted for going out to DSS...So much easier the woman there filling in the form LOL...She seemed really surprised on how much income support i get...Need to phone student loan peeps again as i don't think it's fair if they take into account my carers premium and the 2 disabled child premiums i get...Bets they do though!!!...So paid £1.40 for the pleasure of parking for a whole 10 mins grrrrrr...

Went to gym after DSS and forced myself to do 10 mins on cycling machine thingy...There was some right show off gits in the pool and jacuzzi...Males of course nuff said <G>...Was really good and made induction appointment for tomorrow so can learn to use the weight type machine thingys...See am ever so technical with names of these bits of equipment LOL...So got appointment with some blokey trainer type person for 11am tomorrow...Means can't go and get weighed this week but hey ho like am bothered <G>...Learning to use these weight things means i can do more exercise and therefor tone up more and lose more weight...See it makes sense really :o) ...So plans for tomorrow are now changed...Gym then home to do housework...

Popped into comet down beside gym to look at MP3 players decided that branch was rubbish...So took a detour on way home and went to other comet, currys <spit> and a computer shop...See i don't like that particular branch of currys due to bad service in the past...Thing is they had a lovely MP3 player that was cheap enough, easy to use and looked COOL...Been told it has to look cool ROFL...So on fri will go to other currys and buy same player from there LOL...Not had bad dealings with other branch :o) ...Priced laptops, eeeeeeeekkkkkksss, for daughter...Want a cheap one not something priced at loads of £100's...Got cheesed off when i got back to our street as no parking spaces...Today i reset the mileage counter just to see, out of curiosity, how far i would be driving round in circles before i got one...TWO MILES i did, can you believe that!!!!!!!!!!! TWO <cossable words> miles...GRRRRRRRRRRRRR...Got so cheesed off i hang out some washing and decided to come online and ignore housework LOL...Anyways must go as need to do tea then go to parents night...Want a figure like below LMAO...Toodle pip xx

Happy Bunny

Well youngest didn't go to the footie yesterday which is probably just as well...I'd have been lynched jumping up and down like a loony celebrating MY team winning the league...Dons fans really really hate gers fans and am well, lets say i have taste <G> Mind you was a very close finish to the title which made for more exciting season...I felt awful for oh all of 2 seconds driving down to the gym through the crowds coming out of the dons game with radio scotland on full blast with rangers being presented with the trophy LOL...Daughter and youngest wanted me out of the flat as i was jumping around the place so much...Daughters called me demented LOL...Booked lane for bowling for youngest birthday party next sun whilst down near bowling alley at beach...Did shopping and forgot invites so had to go back down to asda again DUH...Went to deliver one of his invites and had a good chinwag with my pal whilst he played with his friend :o)

No gym today as woke up with a stinking headache so went back to sleep for a wee bit after youngest went off to school...Went to fill in my bit of daughters student load & bursary application form and got confused <surprise>...Phoned up the people who do them and asked if there was an easier way to do it if on income support...As daughter was doing it online and didn't have the notes then we were missing the bit to take to DSS for them to fill in for you DUH!!!...Nice woman on phone emailed the form to me...So printed it off and took it down to DSS...Now have an appointment for tomorrow morning to get it filled in there and then...

Eldest lad came back from Ardroy at tea time and he thoroughly enjoyed it...He did kayaking, absailing, splosh (gorge walking/jumping into water), archery, a scavanger hunt, squeeze (going through narrow rock space), a quest which involved problem solving and group work, jacobs ladder (group work)...They also went to Blair Drummond safari park on the way down there...Now have tons of washing to do of smelly, wet clothes UGH!!!...He did bring back his big sis a gorgeous cuddly tiger with baby tiger as a pressie so she's happy LOL...

Plans for this week

Tues ~ Be at DSS for 9.30am get form filled in...Go to gym...Do housework...Send reminder text to carer he's going to rugby with eldest in evening <huff>...Go to youngest parents night in evening...

the week in view

Been a bit of a busyish week...Been to the gym mon, tues, wed and thurs but didn't go today...Am worried i am getting addicted LOL...Mind you on thurs i did get spoken to by one of the better looking bits of scenery in the pool <G> ...That makes me sound so shallow but hey so what i can do shallow when i want to and he was as i put it a bit of alright and seemed pleasant enough to chat to :o)

Went to a talk on wed morning about the incapacity act for scotland...It was really good and very informative but rather daunting and scary at same time...I need to talk it all over with social worker and someone who has been there and done that before so i can make an informed decision on what course i will take...Basically i think i know what i want to do just need more advice...Am also unsure as to if i need to put into action what we were told about for both the boys or just youngest...Eldest is far more capable than youngest but i may do similar for both...Basically once they reach 16 they are officially adult in the eyes of the law and as such i have no legal standing with anything that they are entitled to or medical treatment etc etc...Now youngest is not the best at understanding anything when he's told in language that we all take for granted...I know how to explain things to him in a way he understands...Like when he was at hossy for dentist the other week...The first time was a failure because they wouldn't listen to what i was saying...Last time they let me take charge so it was less stressful for him, although he was still mega stressed, and they managed to get the work done...If he'd been 16 + then legally they could have just ignored me and carried on regardless...Now hopefully this wouldn't happen and my views would actually count for something but as we all know there is the odd professional who won't listen...So under the incapacity act (scotland) i can apply to court for something called welfare guardianship...This does not mean guardian as in legal guardian type thing...It's guardianship of his welfare so that i do have legal standing in the eyes of the law...It does mean that i would get visited regularly by powers that be to check up on me but that's a small price to pay...Like documents and forms etc that we all fill in and kinda understand then i could do them in his place...It's very complicated and i am not going into any details about it here...Need to find a solicitor who knows about it...

Eldest went to see star wars revenge of the sith last night and was well impressed...AWESOME was what he said when he got back home LOL and almost on a par with empire strikes back...Youngest went tonight with their carer and was upset at it...He didn't like how some of the main characters died, he found that very very sad...Eldest went away this morning with the base fine to ardroy...He phoned tonight to say they had arrived safe and already done archery which he really enjoys :o) ...Also they stopped off at blair drummond safari park on way there and he's used up nearly all his camera already LOL...Am glad he's having fun and he has got to remember to buy his sister a pressie this year...Last year he bought me one, year before he bought his brother one so it's her turn :o) ...Youngest is really missing him even though they fight all the time...HE has decided to go to club on his own tomorrow though so YIPPEE can go to the gym...See told you am getting addicted...Going on sunday is a no go as there is a 10K run and fun run down in area where my gym is so chance of getting parked is zero...Now am thinking maybe next year i might be fit enough to do the fun run...I can't actually run as such yet as my knees are still well dodgy but i could by that time walk it...I will need to find out if you have to do it specifically for the charities of the sponsors or if you can raise money for a charity of your own choice...Reminds me i need to go make a donation on another journal...

Am still peeved i am not getting to go to the rugby match next tues but i now have parents night for youngest that day anyway...Got free tickets for football on sunday but youngest is adament he is not going...Shame as he does like football but the crowd gets too much for him at times, he may change his mind at last minute though as he often does...Going now to dream of long lie in tomorrow as don't have to get up early to take eldest to skiing lessons...No doubt i will still waken at same time <sigh>...Toodle pip xx

peeved kinda

Stayed the same this week <sigh> ...Thing is even though am not losing much or staying the same my clothes are getting a heck of a lot loser on me...If you can call jeans falling down roudn your knees loose LOL...I am going to the gym a lot, 3-4 times a week, i am trying to eat the extra points i get from doing this...Could just be working out is turning the flab to muscle as my body shape is defo changing for the better :o)...Still a long long way to go though but am determined i will get there...

Youngest hurt his foot at PE in school so passed on footie training...Eldest ripped his knee up at footie training but his tracky bottoms weren't torn LOL...Just as well he does need new ones but i want him to take these old ones away on hia adventure weekend...Most of it will be water sports so he can take old clothes with him and get nice new ones when he gets home...I made the mistake of buying him new stuff to go away with 2 years ago and won't be doing that one again <G>...Got freebie tickets at footie training for a match on sunday but youngest keeps changing his mind...Guess the tickets are there if he does decide to go...Both boys are back to school HURRAH i can now have my daytime life back properly...Eldest handed me his work experience form to sign tonight...It was dated by him as 19th april he'd forgotton all about it in excitement about going away...Now this annoyed me as he hadn't taken it home from school until today and the whole point of him being in the base is for them to make sure he remembers stuff like that...NOT to bully him about his hair grrrrrr...Mind you he has said that head of base hasn't said a word about it since the review <G>...Maybe i scared her ROFL...I do hope so i despise bullys and that is basically what she has been doing...Hopefully they won't interfere too much in the work experience thing as he did say he didn't show her EVERYTHING he put on the form LOL...Oh well typical teen and for that they should be as pleased as i am although when it is something naughtyish i don't let on that i am chuffed he's being just like any regular kid :o)...Toodle pip xx

this n that

Well both boys were off school on fri too so have managed to drive me up the wall for several days LOL...Eldest did manage to get to skiing yesterday, they both went to club in afternoon and today they both went to respite playscheme...Have managed to get to gym on fri, yesterday and today LOL...I do miss it when i don't get and am managing to use cycling machine thingy again...Still can't use that cross trainer it makes me feel seasick and i don't get seasick <G>...I do need to book an appointment to get shown how to use the weight machine things in the gym...I am annoyed that they have opened yet another asda down beside the gym, parking is now a nightmare down there and the guys collecting trolleys etc treat it like it is asda private car park...The other shops and the gym are apparently going to be complaining about it...Bet it won't be long before they put a time limit up on staying in the carp park which is a bit useless if you go to gym for an hour or more then want to go to any of the shops...Yesterday we got asked if we wanted to book skiing lessons to turn this block into a 10 week one instead of a 6 week one...Will be doing this but can't book it until 2 weeks time as eldest is going away next weekend...

He's off to Ardroy outdoor centre which is beside lochgoilhead...This is slightly north of loch lomond and he went there last year...Beautiful countryside and the loch itself is also beautiful...They will be doing a lot of outdoor watersports again...He loves kayaking and i have been trying to persude him to do this up here also...He goes away fri at usual time for school and comes back on mon but not sure what time yet with him being off school last week...

Generally had a lazy kind of weekend and the weather has been warm and sunny and gorgeous...Sadly it has not long turned cooler and looks like heavens are about to open and pour down...Pity as i fancied going and BBQ the tea...Must get some flowers to chuck into the pots that are empty looking although some have survived from last summer...Toodle pip xx

WOOHOO!!!!

YEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSS it worked...Ohhhhh am so chuffed now kids think i have lost the plot (nowt new there lol)...Now need to go experiment with my pics and FTP space thingymajig...

Have defo decided will write letter of complaint to the over all headmaster of eldests school about head of the base...I showed what she had written to his worker last night and he was gobsmacked...He knows she has been moaning about his hair for over a year and now wants to write to her and complain about her stupidity himself...Said no but he is going to write a bit to put in with the letter to head of school :o) ...He is also going to come to next review meeting with me :o) ...Both boys have been off school yesterday and today...Sore throats and feeling generally yuk...Eldest gets chronic hayfever every year from about end march through to beg sept...He first got it when he was 5 weeks old :o( ...What he has just now is i think the hayfever kicking in as the weather has been so up and down the pollens haven't come out in force yet...Youngest has only ever had hayfever once but he is sniffing, got iffy eyes and has a touch of sore throat just like hayfever affects eldest...They better both be back to school tomorrow...They drive me up the wall being at home all day LOL...I haven't managed to get to the gym which i am now sad enough to say i miss...I have a committee meeting for support group tomorrow morning and i really need to be at it...

I printed off pics of daughter looking pretty last night...Might get proper photo paper to do some with next week and can then frame one...Ex is demanding up to date pics of them all and to be honest daughter shrugging her shoulders about it...When i was in PC world yesterday i did see paper for making cards with pics on so may get a packet and do a pic of each of them on a card to send...That can be ex's birthday present LOL...

Got tickets through post today for rugby union match at local footie ground...It's Scotland V Barbarians...I got a call on tues from council sports officer for disabilities saying she had been given some freebie ones...One for the child and one for a carer to accompany them :o) ...She knew both mine liked rugby so she was phoning round parents of kids she knew who liked rugby first...Youngest doesn't want to go :o( ...He's been to that footie ground once and it was a blizzard and truely awful night...We ended up leaving before halftime as both boys were blue with the cold, they were wrapped up in several layers and i took my 2 jackets off to put on them and still soaked right through to the skin...Although that was 2 years ago he still remembers and refuses to go to that ground...If it had been at Hampden or Murrayfield he would have gone <sigh>...So there is a ticket for eldest and a carer...Guess who isn't getting to go <SOB>...He doesn't want mum with him (too embarassing) and asked his worker if he wanted to go...Am miffed i LOVE rugby so am mega miffed youngest didn't want a ticket...Speaking of youngest i asked in PC world yesterday what would be easiest MP3 player for someone to use...I explained i needed one easy to use because of his autism...A very nice man took me over and showed me the ones they sell and have now decided that an i-pod shuffle looks like the best option...Not too many buttons to confuse him on one of those...So will get one next week for his birthday pressie at end of the month...Still have no idea what he wants to do for his birthday he won't discuss it <sigh>...Have to go for now as daughter wants on to check emails...Toodle pip xx

Third time lucky???

Okies here we go attmpt no3 LOL...I now have an email with instructions on how to use the FTP space and get pics on here without having the box bitty round them...As a complete fruitcake with techy stuff this is now attempt no3 to get this into the journal...I did manage to get the pics into the FTP space though so that's a start <G>...My techy skills are on a par with a choccy teapot, in other words useless <laffs> ...Big thank you to person who told me what to do, you know who you are :o)...1st attempt pic wouldn't appear, 2nd attempt it ended up at the top and intermingled with the writing so here goes fingers crossed <G>

Whos a pretty girl/woman

Here are pics as promised of daughter in her prom dress...I know every parent thinks their kids are gorgeous but in a non biased way i do think she looks stunning...She had fun and enjoyed herself and wandered in at some sill hour of the morning LOL...She did say party after at someones house was a bit boring though...Am glad she enjoyed herself and had fun and hardly anyone recognised her...The wrap is actually black and purple devore velvet which you can't see...Am still rubbish at adding pics onto here so they can be seen bigger LOL...Toodle pip for now xx

This n' that

I had a great time on saturday...It was good being out and i got a wee bit pished <G>...Shame the club we ended up in was full of oldie blokes instead of dishy youngish ones LOL...I walked home in my bare feet much to daughters disgust and got in about 2.45am ROFL...Had no hangover yesterday <smug> lazed about and watched the grand prix then went to the gym...

Went to gym this morning and then took daughter shopping AGAIN <sigh>...Took her to see a pair of shoes i had seen in sale i thought may go with her prom dress...She didn't like them and they were too wide fitting but she did end up with a gold pair in same sale...I said would go with the evening bag she got last week...Turns out she returned it as it was no use DUH!!!...So we had to go up into town and see if they had any left...Luckily she got the very last one...Last week we had bought a nice necklace and hair thing to go with earrings she already had...Got 2 new pairs of earrings and another necklace today...She isn't wearing the thing in her hair as it isn't any use for the way her hair is being done...She's spurned fake tan <phew> but has got pretty false nails to wear...As the prom is tomorrow evening i THINK we have everything needed now...or put it this way WE BETTER have lol...I am not doing anymore damned shopping...I will take pics and i know i am biased being her mum but she does look gorgeous in her dress...

Went to ww tonight and wasn't happy lost a measly 1lb...I know i was out drinking on sat (which is rare) but i was so good all last week...I saved all my extra points from the gym for my alcohol...Have decided i am going to write to the headmaster of the school and make a complaint about stupid woman...Have about 20 zillion dates to write in diary for this month that are all scattered about on bits of paper...I think i may have double booked myself for 2 different meetings/talks next week LOL...Anyways am off to watch some more Hugh Grant...Never really liked him that much but he looks so much better and a bit of alright in this film <G>...Toodle pip xx

Eldest Review

Grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr!!!!!!...Am so angry...Went to the Future Needs Review for eldest lad this morning...I managed to speak to social worker before we went in and warned her i would be probably be having a 'go' at head of the base...I told her how fed up i am about this issue this woman has with his hair...Also said she's now demanding he takes a brush into the base to leave there...She was shocked...Anyway we went in and social worker introduced herself to everyone and vice versa...Then head of base handed out her report and talked through it...All the academic side is going well :o) which i already knew from parents night...Then she got to a paragraph which was all about his hair and clothing...She got as far as the first sentence and i interrupted her...

Me: Don't even go there or start about his please

Head of base: Cathy it's matted

Me: No it is NOT, he brushes his hair every morning before school and it is CUT to look like it does. It is called FASHION.

Head of base: Tried to mumble something

Me: If you take a brush to his hair or make derogatory comments on it anymore to him i WILL REPORT you to higher authority

Headmaster: Right we'll move on and get back to this later

Needless to say we did not get back to this issue later...Head of base was shocked when i said i would report her...I mean it though i am not having this woman put my son down...It's called BULLYING...Bit below is what is written in the report...

An ongoing problem for Eldest is his appearance.  He often comes to school with very tousled looking hair which can make him a target for teasing and comments.  In secondary school especially, teenagers are particularly aware of how they look and can be quite unkind if someone looks different/odd. It hampers his socialisation because appearance is so important. Sometimes it seems that he can be EXTREMELY conscious of his appearance. An example was when he refused to go into classthe day he came in with a big hole in the knee of his jeans. According to Eldest, no one in the minibus noticed or 'had a go' at him as mum had thought.  (Blatentlie i never said anything of the sort) He MAY have thought it was a fashion statement originally, althought he denies it categorically, and he seemed to fully realise that having a huge chunk missing out of the knee of your jeans was not considered fashionable for a boy of his age.

Regarding the bit about the jeans i said to him look don't think you should wear them to school...He said but others have holes in jeans and ripped ones on...So i said okies whatever it's up to you...I have no idea what planet this woman is living on because you can BUY jeans already ripped to bits and pay anything between £10 and £150 for the pleasure...It is the height of fashion to wear ripped jeans just now...Stupid woman...I agree with the bit about appearance having to be just right with teenagers that is why he has his hair the way it is...The ONLY person who has a problem with it anywhere he goes is HER and one of the other teachers in the base...EVERYONE else has been complimentary about it...The guys at footie training, fun club, skiing, playscheme were ALL complimentay wether it was another kid or worker or parent...One of the male teachers even asked him where he had it done as he really liked it FFS...Want an idea of how it is just now then picture Charlie from Busted and that's my son...Pre blonde highlights was cut same way just dark brown...I will report her if she doesn't stop this nonsense...She is the one making him feel insecure about his appearance...She's there to get them to integrate into society and surely being fashion conscious is a GOOD sign and very positive...Ohhhhh i so wanted to slap her but luckily for her i was on other side of the room from her or i would have...Wish i'd worn a pair of ripped jeans to go in to meeting too PMSL...Don't have any as they too big LOL...Felt like saying also at least he isn't using so much hairspray on his hair it's stiff as a board like hers ROFL...Now this woman isn't that much older than me, maybe late 40's...I always wonder when she is having a pop at him about his hair/clothes what on earth she makes her 2 sons who are slightly older wear...I also pointed out when both her and future needs woman said they would like him to do more mainstream activities outwith school that i do have 2 other children to consider and i cannot be in 2 places at once and hey i do have a life too kinda...I already had to say to youngest he couldn't go tothe rugby training i found as was at same time as eldest lads skiing lessons...Fortunately after having gone to a sports morning try out he decided he didn't want to do rugby anymore...Actually when i read the above paragraph to both him and his sister they did laugh about the comment on the jeans...They even wanted to know what planet she lived on <G> ...Anyways rant over off to make a few phone calls...Toodle pip for now xx

Didn't do much yesterday went to the gym and then tidied up...Did have an evening meeting for support group was only me and one other member there then 2 new members turned up...We had a good chat though and these 2 new parents now know they are not on their own...Recently diagnosed but at high school and not coping with the vast change this brings...

Today i meant to go to gym but fell asleep after i had my brekkie DUH...Luckily i woke up in plenty time to go get my hair chopped :o)...Need to chuck some more red hair dye in it but will wait until tomorrow evening...Would have liked to do it tonight before meeting tomorrow morning but am going swimming tomorrow lunchtime so decided to wait...Would rather it didn't turn some obscure lurid colour from the chlorine <G>

Meeting tomorrow morning should be FUN she says with a good dose of sarcasm...It's eldest lads Future Needs review...Social worker will be there and she left a message on answer thingy this afternoon which was very positive :o) ...The head of the base is going to be the fun one NOT...She is still banging on and on and on about his hair...insert lots of cossable words here...His hair is TRENDY...It is cut so it is *messy* on top...She would like him to take a hairbrush to school with him!!!!...He does brush his hair every morning then puts his product stuff in it and messes up the top...He even uses his sisters hair straighteners on the back bits and to spike it up better...I really do wonder what century or planet this woman is living on...Okies picture in your head David Beckham (would prefer not myself lol) when his hair was longer at back, short over ears and messy spikey on top...That's eldest hair style...Hmmmm wonder if head of base watched the snooker final as Matthew Stevens hair is not disimilar apart from colour...I will tell her that if she continues to harass him about his hair and if she decides herself to use a hairbrush on it that i will take the matter to head of education dept...the whole point of the base which he attends is for them to mix in with the mainstream kids...Now him wanting to be trendy with his hair is surely a good thing...The way she wants him to have it is going to make him stand out like a sore thumb...As the school has no uniform policy or dress code then quite frankly she can get stuffed (scuse language)...My mum is 73 and although she doesprefer a more old fashioned hairstyle on a man she does think eldests is cool and trendy...Me and eldest have been ignoring any communication about this for a year now but now that she is demanding a hair brush, tried to get him have his hair cut IN school i will not tolerate this infringment on his choice...Can you tell am just a tad cheesed off with this all <G>...Shame i didn't still have named social worker that left last june as his hair was same LOL...I'm off to watch election now...toodle pip xx

grrrrrrrrr!!!!!!!!!

Just a quickie to vent some anger...Earlier tonight my ex phoned the kids...He phones about once every 6 weeks if he can be bothered :o( ...So daughter was telling him which uni she had decided upon and which course...She happened to mention she was filling in her student loan forms and only had parental income bit left to do...Quick as a flash my delightful ex said that doesn't apply to me i don't live in the country...GRRRRRRRRRR...I don't care if he is on loan form or not as she is better off without him being on it BUT i am angry at the implication he will have nothing to do with giving her any financial support at all...Not that he has since he emigrated anyway...Soon as he moved to america permanently my maintenance was stopped and he's still due me the rest of my divorce settlement...Been told that i can't chase him for it because america do NOT recognise UK court agreements <sigh>...Well he has one very hurt daughter here yet again :o(  Who has been on phone to 2 of her friends most of the evening and won't repeat what she has said about him to me...So lots of <cossable words> there then...Mind you i turned the air blue a bit myself when the boys and her weren't in the room with me...Just makes me so angry...He's asked for an up to date pic of them well he can get lost...I really don't approve of her swearing as such but she's 17 and has her own opinion of her father...I do try my best to make sure they keep in contact with him and have a reasonable opinion of him...It's hard though when he rarely phones and even then uses his work phone...Sends presents late and doesn't bother to pay anything towards them...Oh well one day it will all backfire on him and for that i feel rather sad for the eejit...Rant over...Toodle pip xx

Hehehe!!!

Oh i am so going to be shot for putting this in here but i have to...After all parents are supposed to embarass their teenagers aren't they <G>...Yesterday daughter went into town to meet a friend...Her friend was late and whilst she was waiting for her she spied a few labour people wandering around and chatting to people...Jack Mcconnell she said looked bored and went over to talk to her!!!...He recognised her from somwhere he said...Now my daughters opinion of him isn't very high...In fact her opinion of him is probably about down at the bottom of the nearest muddy bog LOL...She said yes he had met her before once and scottish youth parliament meeting and other time when young carers were down at scottish parliament and she spoke to him then LOL...So he then got his colleague over who is MSP for abdn central...Saying i have your equivalent here from the youth parliament LOL...He recognised her too but again didn't know where from...She told him local young carers group...He said oh yes so it is...So these guys who were supposed to be here campaigning for marginal seat in south abdn ended up talking to someone who is not old enough to vote yet as her birthday isn't until later in the year...She is highly embarassed and said it wasn't fair as she had to be nice & polite to Jack McConnell as they are still waiting for their funding for youth parliament...Speaking of the election when in city centre today there was quite a few rather attractive youngish men in black suits with yellow ribbons out on campaign trail...Have no idea who they were but if they had been for my area i might have been tempted to vote for them...Only because they were dishy looking <G>...Mind you wouldn't if they were tory not even if they looked like mel gibson or keanu reeves...So see i can be extremely shallow LOL...Also speaking of election i have not moved house for 18 years but i have now lived in 3 different parliamentry seats LOL...My side of street i live in used to be abdn south, the other side of street was abdn north, talk about living on the boundary LOL...Then abdn was divided into 3 and i became abdn central...Now it is back to 2 seats again and am in abdn north!!!...Safe labour seat though...

Was ever so good this morning...Once youngest left for school i went to the gym...I really need to make an appintment for induction to the weights type machines now...I like the treadmill!!!!, ilike rowing machine...The cross trainer thingy makes me feel seasick so i avoid using it...The cycling machine is hard on my knees just now so am also avoiding it...So today i did 20 mins on treadmill for first time ever that long and felt fine doing it...Then i went and did 30 lengths of the pool and then lounged in jacuzzi for 5 mins LOL...You know i always hated the idea of using a gym but decided to join this new one last august whilst cheap offer was on...I suppose i was quite sporty at school as i played for school hockey team, did volleyball and also swam for the school...Swimming i have always loved...I really love being in the water...Even done synchronised swimming in the past for a couple of years (don't laff it's incredibly tough to do)...I haven't tried scuba diving, rowing or sailing yet...Would like to have a go at scuba diving sometime but the other 2 think will give a miss...Windsurfing, water skiing and canoeing are fun...Would love to go white water rafting...Eldest lad has done that and really enjoyed it...

After gym i came home to drop off the car (15 mins to find a parking space <sigh>) and pick up daughter...We went into town and got a bag for her prom...Now it's home not so sure it matches her shoes...Got her a pretty necklace that matches earrings she already has...Just need a bracelet now and i think that is everything sorted for next tues...Oops no need to get hair appointment for her...She's grown it longish again so she can have it put up and we got a hair thingy that matches necklace and earrings...A friend of hers phoned last night to say she had been put beside a whole table of girls who don't like her for the meal at prom duh!!!...But he's got it changed so she's at same table as him and some other lads she's friends with...Her initital reaction to being told she was at other table was 'oh well at least i will be the prettiest one at the table' LOL...Got hydro electric coming round to change meter to a new one in morning so will phone social work whilst waiting then go to gym later in day...Better go make myself look busy now and make some tea...toodle pip xx

mayday customs

Last night when i was chatting on here i had a friend ask me if we had maypoles in scotland...Said not where i live that am aware of...I then said had anyone got up early to wash their face in the may dew...This got me some comments of i was not right and scotland had no running water LOL...Then one of my friends said jokingly she'd always visualised me and another scot from on here to be living in braveheart type huts and how disappointed she was when she saw all the houses...Tell you my friend who said that ain't all there <G>...So i told them that washing your face in the may dew is an old celtic custom from beltaine...To anyone reading this who hasn't heard of it if you wash your face in the may dew on 1st of may then you will be granted beauty and a fair complexion...Told friend this must be why i don't look my age <G>...Shame it didn't work on the beauty part LOL...Personally i think it's a far nicer custom than dancing around a pole wearing a daft costume looking a wee bit daft...

Been so lazy today...Set alarm and got daughter up early as she was going out...Went back to bed as boys both asleep and i had a headache...So i dozed in bed until i eventually decided i better get up at about 11.30am ISH...Boys were ok i know they had brekkie and were playing on their games consoles...More washing <sigh> got some hung out though because was sunny again today...Contemplated tackling the ironing mountain range but got sidetracked by dusting, cleaning and general tidy up of living room instead...I had finally got around to buying a new blusher brush for dusting my dragons with...It's easier using a soft brush than trying to get into all the nooks and crannys with a cloth...There was more dust on them that would like to admit too...Not because haven't been cleaning them because it took me so long to get a brush again...Have to dust regularly because of eldest lads asthma...I do need to find a new place to put my craft stuff...It's mounting up and needs a new home as i pinched the bit where i keep it all to move some dragons too...

Went to WW put on 2lbs <sigh> had an excuse which was valid so that was ok...Yeah i have been eating rubbish but also t.o.m. and always put on weight then...Eldest lad is off out swimming with his carer...Luckily i gave him a lift as pool they were going to was closed as tis a punlic holiday...So we drove along and spied carer and picked him up and took them to pool at beach...Seems a daft day to close to me as i would have though they would have lots of business on a bank holiday...It did give me an opportunity to ask carer if he would be able to take the boys out more often in summer hols...So need to phone head of disabilities team <grrrr> and ask him if possible to transfer funding to carer...They are funded for 2 days per week in holidays at respite playscheme...I got the dates for the summer hols in end of last week...They have been allocated 1 day each week...Before when this happened their carer was able to take them out extra days...That was when i still had a named SW though...Also my named SW was friends with their carer so basically they arranged stuff between them LOL...Head of team better do what i ask him to or i will be very angry and will tell him i will go over his head to his boss <G>...I would rather carer had extra time with them than respite playscheme they go to anyway...Their particular group is only in 1 day a week in hols and sometimes they end up in with a far less able group...Eldest gets very bored when this happens and youngest gets aggressive again...Anyway Toodle pip xx

tsk forgot

Forgot youngest seems to have recovered fine from being knocked out on fri for his teeth...He is telling everyone he comes in contact with which ones are gone now...He's also telling everyone about the evil torturers who did it to him ROFL...He's miffed he didn't get his teeth to take home <yuk>...Oh and this is now going to cost me £46...Why i hear you asking...Because i promised him a reward if he was good and let them do it...So i have to buy 2 tickets for Brian Mcfadden up here in june...£23 each and he can't go unaided so muggins here has to go too...Standing only left so he better cope with it and stay for the whole gig or i will not be a happy bunny...toodle pip xx

weekend musings

Today the boys were in day respite playscheme and am jealous LOL...Eldest lad didn't go out but youngest went to the cinema...To see Hitchhikers Guide to Galaxy...NOT FAIR i want to see it <sob> ...He said he liked it and it was very funny...His favourite in the movie was Marvin...What a surprise there lol...Marvin the paranoid android LOL...I have the books and i did like the tv series so i really want to see the movie...Alan Rickman to me is the perfect choice of marvin as his laid back dead pan sarcasm is marvin to a t...Oh well hopefully i will manage to get to see it during the day when they are in school...Spent today doing nothing as boys were out and it was teeming down with rain so really didn't want to go out anywhere...Watched the motogp in china and guess what it was teeming down with rain there too LOL...Rossi won again...I can see it turning into the Rossi show again this year bit like schumaker in the F1, although of course he's not on top form yet this season...Am now watching the snooker as am writing this...Very exciting last frame of the day...

Yesterday eldest lad started back skiing lessons again HURRAH!!!...I was beginning to think if it's left any longer then he'll have forgotton what to do...He hasn't <phew> different instructor this time though...Will wait and see what she is like as so far she seems a bit dippy...It was a glorious day with the sun shining and lovely and warm...Told him he wouldn't need his jacket on but he wore it regardless...Maybe just as well as he was soaking right through...Was nice to catch up with the other parents as only see them at skiing and they seem real nice people...Went into asda to see if they had anything to go with these skirts <grump> came out with some new vest tops because they were cheap and it was so damn warm...There's a laff as it's been cold and rainy today...Did tons of washing and got all hung out to dry cept for ski stuff...Now have more ironing <sigh>...See i want to win the lottery if only to be able to hire someone to come do my ironing for me...Preferably some handsome, youngish, ddg, naked bloke <G>...Think will leave this for now and go off and dream LOL...Toodle pip xx
