Friday bits

Dreamy and Fairy the only bits from the earliest auditions that were included on last years shows were crowd scenes from them...Queues outside the venues, hopefuls shouting Britians Got Talent, that their city has talent, some of the more bizarre entries performing for the crowds of queues, 'rehearshing' whilst waiting...And they did film stuff like that when we were down as well as the acts in small rooms in front of a producer only...They didn't show any of the auditions from the non televised stage...I forgot to add last night that although i hate all the sob stories you get on these programmes am not adverse to using his autism to get him a bit further on...Hypocrite???? Possibly to some but i view it more as more inspiring...What i said yesterday to the blokey on phone was that he wanted to save singing Robbie to the next round if he got that far...Because Robbie and his music has been Ms inspiration and helped him to cope with and do his best to overcome his autism...Which is the truth as it has...Even if i couldn't stand Robbie i'd have to acknowledge that and see him as a bit of a saviour to me...I can't count as far as how many times shoving a robbie song on in the flat or car or making M use personal CD player and now MP3 player has helped him come off the ceiling and back down to the ground all calmed down...Ok am a hypocrite i guess LOL...M ain't going to win and it's not like X Factor where there is weeks of live finals with the sob stories trotted out every single week...He's wanted to try out for X Factor ever since it started and before that Pop Idol...Neither of which i felt comfortable about...I don't think there should be much of a problem with Take That and Robbie stuff being sung as you often see both artists work being used in auditions...Guess it's a shame he's not into Westlife as of course they are with sonyBMG so wouldn't be a problem as it's Simon Cowel LOL...On the other hand am so glad he isn't in to westlife <g>

Went and got the yukky thing done and i feel ok...I gripped the table and didn't look ROFL...The nurse went to book my next one and the above could cause a problem with that...As i have to have it at around the same date...It can be a couple of days early but it can't be late...And we know from the original letter that the next stage is around those dates in january...Christmas cards i've given up on and am buying some to send out...I was all fired up and on the ball until oct when i got that vile flu that has appeared this year...My energy levels had already been sapped with all my 'womans troubles' and the flu just capped them...Got some bad news late on wed night...One of Ks friends gran died suddenly :o(  Poor lass her gran basically brought her up...She'd been rushed into hospital on tues with pneumonia...On wed morning Ks friend went to see her and she was looking well and hospital were pleased with her, in the afternoon she got a call saying she'd deteriorated rapidly and to come in...Half an hour later she was dead :o(  This friend of Ks has called me mummy for yonks but she is getting help to organise the funeral etc...Am gonna go along to it even though i didn't know her gran and as it looks like it won't happen till after Christmas then K will be able to go as well...She wasn't that old being only 63 and it's just so sad...Heart attack they found from the post mortem :o(  Bad enough at any time of year but worse near Christmas and also Ks friend is about to turn 20 very soon...I've said she can come round here at Christmas if she wants to or feels up to it...Even though she obviously doesn't want to celebrate it now i hate the idea of her sat alone in her flat on Christmas day...To counter that i got a bit of good news last night...Got a call from one of my friends and her sisters baby has put on weight to now be 5½lbs...She's due in around 3 weeks time...She's married to a guy i've been friends with for years...First baby but he's downs syndrome and has a hole in his heart...He hadn't been gaining weight much but he's decided to put a spurt on in last couple of weeks...Her hubby is in the army and is supposed to be in Iraq just now but his commanding officer said no when they found out the baby is downs...Now they seem to have changed their mind and he may be getting sent there to join his company after his 2 weeks paternity leave is up...Regardless of how badly he is found to be once he is born :o(  I know it's his job etc but i think it's a bit off to tell the guy that no he isn't going on because they wouldn't be able to get him back out if the baby is badly affected and then go and change your minds about it all...He has been permanently on call for the last few months...Whilst the rest of his company were on leave because they were being posted he was on call 24/7...He's been getting no breaks as such at all, his wife has had a crap pregnancy and no family around because they are in germany...And then they go and chuck this at him...Not fair IMO...As i said i know it's his job but if they can't get him out of Iraq easily if there are pretty majorly bad problems with the baby then his company can't be posted somewhere 'easy' in Iraq...Not that anywhere is easy over there but some like Basra must be easier to get out of at short notice than others...We'll see they will probably change their minds again.

Gs UCAs application has gone off now...Three courses all at the same uni he has applied for...Electrical engineering, Mechanical engineering and the joint electrical and mechanical engineering course...First year is the same for them all anyways LOL...So now it's just waiut and see if he gets an interview, the base coaching him in interview techniques and crossing fingers he gets offered a place...As he apparently already has the required grades then hopefully it will be an unconditional offer...He got very stressed and started panic attacking last night when he pressed wrong button on the UCAS website about the payment method...I was in the bath and had to get out and try and sort it...But i ended up having to give him a cheque to take to school today to pay the £15 application fee...Am not entirely happy with what the base told him to put down for support...I know he manages school fine with little support BUT he does ALL homework in the base, he gets help from the base with all that side...At uni he will have to do stuff like that at home or in the library...He totally falls apart and panic attacks if he can't get something done perfectly...That's why homework has always been done in the base...He's going to need support and understanding about stuff like that and probably the odd extension on essays etc...As for physical aids a laptop isn't the only thing he will need...A PDA so he can keep track of and set reminders on about when X,Y or Z is due in or happening...A dictaphone to record lectures as well as if he misses writing down the littlest thing he WILL panic attack big time...Base told him to put down he'd need a laptop and that he'd need support to find his bearings for the first few weeks...The base have no idea how much he panics now...They hardly see him because when he doesn't have a class he is in either the common room or the library...And no he's not studying in the library...A lot of the 6th years aren't too keen on some of the 5th years...So instead of using the common room they go to the library and play cards LOL...I don't blame them because the new 5th years in June trashed the common room basically and it got closed until after the summer...Me i'd have barred them permanently because if they can't look after it then they don't deserve the priviledge of having one...Not all schools have a common room as they don't have the space so they should count themselves lucky and look after it.
