Bad to Worse

Those expletives deleted down in Blackpool are worse than incompetent...Lovely woman from Edinburgh phoned me this morning...She found out that Blackpool NO LONGER have a customer services dept...Nice ain't it they do away with a dept and they don't inform their satellite offices!!!!!...That any complaints go to the heads of whatever dept within the office that are dealing with the claim etc...Well great IF you happen to know which flaming room it is that is dealing with you...Anyway the lovely woman from Edinburgh got to speak to the head manager who PROMISED to phone me personally...Has she heck...She got one of her underlings to phone me...Who said it's NOT in that room and they will have to search the whole office, which i have been told is HUGE :o(  ...This underling i spoke to has not even offered me an apology, and said i may need to fill in another form!!!!...She is sending one out today 1st class so i should have it mon or tues...Hmmmm can;t say i trust them but we'll see...I went into carers centre in tears after the call i got from blackpool as i was sat in costa round corner from there...They said to go to welfare rights to see about how to put in an official legal complaint...So went there and have appointment for next fri to go about it...I also phoned edinburgh when i got home to keep them up to date with what transpired today as lovely woman said to let her know how i was getting on...She is horrified and disgusted and angry that some underling phoned and not the manager...I told her about me seeing welfare rights ans said even if it is all sorted out fine EVENTUALLY i am still making complaint...That i would be praising edinburgh office and making sure the contrast between the two places is known...And that i was gonna contact my MP...She said i was well within my rights and she would do the same...She also said i shouldn't say this as they are colleagues but they have been useless...She was going to talk to her customer services dept although she has done as much as she can but she wants it sorted out for me...She's also gonna make sure that blackpool lot know i have contacted my MP...Am still angry, more upset and don't need to feel like this am fed up of all the stress it's causing...I may even sue them over it all...After all this is my sons highly PERSONAL details that have been LOST...His whole paper file with EVERYTHING on it...From how he is with his condition, his national insurance number, date of birth, full name the whole caboodle...If that got into the wrong hands then i dread to think what could happen...Phoned my MP local office and they were nice...I have to put it all down in email and send to him to look at...And the secretary i spoke to there said they have a contact in DLA office at Blackpool specifically for enquiries from MP's <ggg> Told her am gonna copy in MSP, and head of DWP...Head of DWP is who my MP would be talking to anyways but no harm me emailing myself too

Rant over sorry...IT's actually G's birthday today...HE doesn't know it yet as i ain't wrapped them but he has Wii Play game with free controller, another nunchuck controller for his Wii, new Sonic game for his Wii and a bag for putting it all in...He's got £60 in birthday money so far...Tomorrow he has 3 friends coming round and i still haven't cleaned up and tidied the place...Will do that tonight...Waiting for K to get home on the bus and she's gonna text me when she's near hear so i can go pick her up...Better go wrap his pressies and have a calming coffee LOL

Good for you Caff ,even if it gets sorted I would still lodge a complaint ,as you say all that info that is personal has been treated as nothing very important ,Happy Birthday G,and have a lovely weekend with all your lovely three ,love Jan xx

I think the whole of the Blackpool Benefits office is manned by morons, this is where I always get stuck too. They are very good at losing forms, we think they work like the MOD if there are too many files on their desks they throw half in the bin and they get destroyed that's how it works on the base my hubby works on. Trouble is you have a hell of a job finding a lawyer who will take on a goernment agency they string out cases for years. Good luck and happy birthday to G hope he likes his prezzies.

Thank goodness you have that lovely woman on your side with that bunch of idiots in Blackpool who seem to be out to cause you more grief.  No wonder they don`t have a customer services dept., they wouldn`t get a moments rest with the amount of complaints that they`d have.

Why didn't they tell you they don't have a customer services dept, when you asked to be put through?  Tut.  I'm sorry you're having so much trouble Caff.  ((((( ))))) for you.

they need the likes of us normal folks to do their job, soon sort them out.

No consolation I know but I think they are all the same, my friend has been waiting since November for her claim to be dealt with...still waiting. They are quick enough to get their act together when they want money back!

Sorry you are having so much trouble. .go ahead with the complaint and especially the woman who hung up on you should explain why she did that.I dont wonder you ended up in tears. . the benefits place are soooo frustrating to deal with.Awww. . G . . hope you had a lovely birthday!
