Cars back but going back in again <sigh>

WAHAY i have my car back...BOOHOO it has to go back in next week...It is fixed but needs more fixing...I was mortified on tues...I went to go and collect the boys from club...Had to phone them to tell them to take the bus home as i was sat in middle of a junction broken down...A very busy junction :o(  Two nice fellas came and pushed the car over to the other side of the junction at the side of the street...They asked me to put on my warning lights...Said i can't as i think it's the electrics...Anytime i put on the indicator, tried to close the windows (electric) or did anything to the radio the engine cut out...So i switched off the radio, left the lights well alone and didn't dare touch the windows and got it started again...Fortunately it was that way to my garage...Drove round and parked it and said the electrics are capput to one of the mechanics...Garage bossman wasn't around but then he just drew up...So i left that loan car to get fixed and he said he had good news and bad news about my car...Good news being that the part had finally arrived at place he was getting it from and i should have car back yesterday or today...Bad news was a lorry knocked my passenger side wing mirror...But he had got the name and details of the driver and he'd ordered a new wing mirror...He's sending the bill to the lorry company...The wing mirror isn't here yet which is why it needs to go back in next week...I LOVE driving but i am beginning to HATE cars just now LOL...Oh well hey de ho life and cars are sent to try us all LOL.

Yesterday was hot hot hot and then around this time the sky went black and the rain came down...Today has been hot hot hot again but the heavens have been threatening to open all afternoon...What we really need here is a good thunderstorm to clear the air but it's not happening...My pots of flowers are a disaster...Plenty greenery but no flowers...One of the lilies looked like it was going to flower but it's gone very sad looking now...The two other lilies both have at least 2 flower heads on them...Fingers crossed they do actually flower...I still have some pots just floating with water :o(  I don't have any houseplants because i have the greenfingers of death with them...Looks like am the same with anything outside too...Well i tried at least which is main thing...Sadly i didn't get any pics of the californian lilac as the flowers have all gone in the last week...It was raining too much to go out and take any pics...Apart from that nowt much been happening...Hope everyone is ok and not flooded or anything...Also hope no-one is off to the areas of europe that are affected by the extreme heat...It's sad seeing all the floods in the UK but it's also sad seeing what the extreme high temperatures over there have done to the land and people...100's dead in the heat :o(

Am still alive honest

Well that's end of 2nd week of summer hols and am fed up already...The weather has been so up and down...One day glorious sunshine, the next pouring down rain, the next dull and muggy, then back to sun again...If you watch the golf at carnoustie then you'll have a rough idea of our weather...We're about an hours drive north of there LOL...My car is in the garage...It's been in the garage since last thurs, as in not yesterday thurs...Really annoying not having the car as it means we can't go north to visit or south to visit K...Garage man is beginning to think the part is being sent direct from citreon factory in damn France...He gave me a loan of one on tues evening so i could take G paintballing on wed...Then i got another one to go take him home...He's giving me a loan of another one tomorrow for a few days...My mobile went capput on me too...It had been going weird for a couple of weeks and did it in town on tues...I was just beside the mobile shop when it happend LOL...Popped in and i was due an upgrade anyways so got a new phone...Gave M the old one as it is the robbie williams one...Guess what...Yeah it is working FINE for him grrrr...I liked my flip phone and they had no flip phones i was allowed to upgrade to for free <sob>

G really enjoyed the paintballing...Some of the lads in his year and in the year that just left school organised it and asked if he wanted to go along...First time he has ever done anything with the mainstream kids in his school outwith school...Only taken FIVE years but hey ho...Took about an hour to get to the site...It's a relatively new one only having been opened just over a year ago...Cheaper than the one i know that is closer and not as much to offer...But they all enjoyed it which is main thing... We may look into it for his 18th next year instead of a party...Dunno yet as it would eliminate a few of his friends from celebrating...We'll see...Both the boys have been invited to an 18th in sept...It's at one of the local bowling alleys but is from 7-midnight...So i'll see how that goes because if it goes well then i may consider there for a party instead...So family and all friends can come along...I do feel bad though as K never had a party for her 18th...She's 21 next year too...If she doesn't want a party then i may just give her the dosh instead...YES darling i KNOW you are reading this, i don't know what i will do for EITHER of YOU yet <ggg> It's all musing and ponderings for now :o)

Last week on tues the boys went to playscheme...That is only day they were able to go...Having seen the group they were in with i am kinda glad they aren't going along...Very less able and not all their usual group...Reason they can't go the rest is that their Triple A team is meeting on a tues...They are making a film in conjunction with a local cinema...It's a cinema that doesn't just show new films but old ones and foreign ones and arts type ones...Much more fun than playscheme by a mile i can tell you...That is all they have on though...G may be going karting at some point...They were talking about doing that when they were paintballing...The karting place here closed about a year ago...The whole area it was in was flattened so BP could build new headquarters...But they have now reopened elsewhere...£25 is cheapest price for karting but G is paying for it himself like he did with paintballing...So up to him how much he spends...M is over the moon as he got his acceptance letter for his link course at college yesterday :o) ...It doesn't say which subject out of his choices he has been allocated for the first session...Presume that school will let them know as they are back at school before the link course starts...Better go and see about tea but do click on the link below...This has been on the scottish news today i don't know if it has been on the funny end story on national ITV news but it is hilarious

Think i need some rubber gloves

Oh well i ended up making a new MySpace because they didn't get back to me grrrr...But good thing is i found my old school friend to add him again which is cool :o) And i have a really cool black dragon background on it...It's similar to my AIMPage thingy so not much point in linking it on here really...I like my AIMPage thingy too but AOL need to get some dragon themes.

Well you may ask why rubber gloves...Bit kinky really LOL...I bought some marbling inks/paints the other week and a basin...So tonight whilst watching House and Question Time (get to that in a bit) i decided to marble some stuff...Just sheets of white card and some white card blanks...Consequently my fingers and under my nails are all covered in red, blue, black, white, yellow and green now DUH!!!!...So methinks i need to buy some rubber gloves for next time don't you LOLOL...Not think yellow marigolds but those fine whiteish ones...I did see a packet of like 100 or 200 for £1 somewhere but i can't remember where...I just love all this craft stuff...I get covered in paint, glitter and glue LOL...Spray glue because the nozzle on each of the cans i currently am using have both gone squint.

Question time tonight was the schools question time...Some of it was interesting...They asked the panel about vote for 16 year olds...One girl in the audience said it was a good idea as councillors etc were all OLD...Now i know the English system for councils is different to Scotlands but even so there was a few 18 year olds and others in their early 20s voted in at the recent English council elections...As one of the panel said to her 'well stand as a candidate then'...To which the look on her face said it all...Now am not much of a one for politics as such but you can't go around moaning they're all 'old' and then not be willing to do something about it...Or is that sensible????? ...Same with anyone seriously moaning about anything really and am just as guilty as the next person...We have a deputy Lord Provost who is only 18 and his sister who is only 21 is also a councillor and head of education on our council...It's interesting to see that Gordon Brown seems to have jumped on the Youth Parliaments almost like he is claiming them as his own...Erm but cooeee Gordon the SYP is older than the Scottish parliament...I dunno how long the Welsh, Northern Irish or UK youth parliaments have been around...Nor for that matter the european one...From what i know of K being an MSYP Gordon would appear to be copying what is already done up here...The SYP regularly invite MSP's along to meetings, they have been along at Holyrood, they were involved in last saturdays opening of the parliament, they do try and get their voice heard by various holyrood committees...Gordon Brown wants to invite the UKYP along to westminster...Hmmm see does sound like copycat doesn't it...If young people can legally leave school, work full time, pay taxes, get married (with parental permission in England, without in Scotland), join the army then why not be allowed to vote...Do think the question time would have been better if it hadn't been full of young people from schools or uni who were doing politics though

Right am not getting into a rant...I need to try and get my hands in some semblance of non multicolouredness LOLOLOL...Oh and school finishes tomorrow here ARRGGHHH...Speak about that laters

I don't exist LOL

Hmmmm not happy...I went to add on Sara as a friend on my MySpace only to find that my page was all wonky...My friends were there and not a lot else...I couldn't log in as i kept getting that my password was invalid...So i tried to email them...Oh joy they didn't recognise my email addy!!!!! So what a pilaver to go through to contact them and ask what on earth was going on....Then tonite when i try to click on the link to my MySpace i find that my account has been deleted...No informing from them that they have done so...Now who the hell that would want to hack into and mess up my MySpace i dunno...It's not like i had loads of people on it as friends or anything...What really annoys me is a very dear friend from high school and college found me again via it...He was one of my best friends and we lost contact after i married my ex...He didn't like my ex much LOL...Ok so he was right in the long run but that's all water under the bridge now...I was just so chuffed to bits to be back in contact again after so many eyars had passed...He's very happily married and living part in Scotland and part in Colorado...I have now contact MySpace again telling them precisely what i think <ggg> Politely of course LOL.

Am so so porud of M...It's going to sound really silly as to why like...He went to the small barbers round the corner yesterday and got his hair cut....First time he has been to a hairdresser since he was around 2...I have always cut his with clippers but he decided last oct to grow it longer...Well i can't cut with scissors so it was getting out of hand...So when he got up yesterday he asked to go to the barbers after school...I went with him of course as i was very wary as to what he would be like...But he sat there good as gold and let her cut his hair...With scissors and then with clippers to finish off and tidy up the back and around his ears...I said to the other woman it's a pity you can't go and train to cut mens hair only...She said you can...I said well everyone i've asked has always said you need to do full course...But no you can go to evening classes for a year at the local college to learn to do mens hair only...So i am going to look into doing that after the summer...If it's available then i will sign up...Yeah i could get a job being a mobile mens barber for boys with special needs....Am sure there is a big market for that here as i know loads who won't go near the hairdressers...See years ago when the boys were both little the hairdresser i used also went into one of the local SEN schools for severely disabled kids and did their hair...So he was brill as he didn't put pressure on either of my two and knew wot to expect...G let him do his hair but M wouldn't...It was after he left this area that i got the clippers and started doing theirs and their fathers myself...Also at teatime tonite me and M went to the information evening at the local college about his link course...It sounds great...Possibly a bit too easy for him but he will learn about coping with doing college or work instead of school...Good transition scheme IMO...Actually once the woman in charge was finished showing her slides and talking about the various sunjects they offer for the link course she answered questions...And M being M wasn't afraid to ask LOLOL...She was well impressed with that and said well at least he knows what he wants and isn't scared to ask stuff...One of his friends from school was there with his mum...Neither of the two of them wanted their mums with them ROFL...This course is treated as part of school so if we have any problems we contact the school...They also inform the school if they don't turn up <ggg> So no skiving off for no valid reason <ggg> The other lads mum i was asking how her business is going...She went to art school to down in England...Her hubby is from up this way and they moved back up here 4 years ago to get better and appropriate schooling for their son...She does caricatures and does them for weddings...I mentioned my wedding favours ideas to her and she said go for it...Last wedding exhibition she had a stall at the one next to her was favours and they did a roaring trade...And that was just the tiny boxes wrapped in ribbons etc...SO here's hoping by end of the week my womens problems have naffed off for another 6 months and i feel fit enough to do a big search of the flat to find my crochet stuff LOL...My GP is off this week so no chance of seeing him...Found that out yesterday when i phoned to get an appointment with him and for the practice nurse to see M immediately...We ended up in A&E instead grrrrr...Bleeding noses runs on my mums side of the family...Bearing in mind my mum had 8 brothers and 1 sister and some of them have big families too there isn't a single family who hasn't someone who gets them...Both K and M get them...K has had her nose cauterised umpteen times...M hasn't ever had his done...Well just after he got up yesterday and announced he wanted the barbers and he'd been and washed himself he started shouting from his room...What a sight, his white polo shirt had a huge red streak down it...I know they can look worse than they are though...But this time it just wouldn't stop...Like a fountain just pouring blood everywhere :o(  Can't phone surgery until 8.30am...Still pouring then 25 mins later...Before when that has happened with K she's just gone to the practice nurse...But no no take him to A&E...What a flaming pilaver...We got there at 8.45am...2 people in front of us waiting for triage nurse...She didn't see anyone until 9.15am...Whilst that woman was in his nose stopped gushing everywhere...Triage nurse did his BP and said she;d ask for minor injuries to see us even though technically he didn't fit the criteria...We had to wait quite a while to be seen by a doctor there...And the doctor asked why i hadn't taken him to the GP practice ARRGGHHH...Told her what they said so she wasn't impressed...By the time he was seen at A&E there wasn't anything they could do...His colour had started to come back...He'd lost a lot of blood and he should have been lying down not sitting in A&E FFS...That's 4th bleeding nose in 2 weeks but the worst he's had since he was little...When he was little they tended to happen in his sleep...He'd waken up to a pillow & duvet drenched in blood...So hmmm they break up for summer hols on 6th July...I will get him to see our GP ASAP after that and ask him to cauterise that nostril...He was making everyone else giggle as he was moaning about missing school....Bless most kids would be jumping for joy to be missing school...One of the women waiting was a teacher and she said she wished her pupils would be unhappy missing some time from school LOL...Going to see if i have had a reply from these MySpace people yet <sigh> Also i do pray that none of your are flooded out...If you are then i really can't express my sympathies enough for you...Yorkshire looks dreadful on the news :o(

Think am safe LOL

Oh cool i was panicking for a few mins that my AIMPages thingy would auto update a journal entry...As mine is private then i didn't want that to happen but it's not auto putting an update on AIMPage if it's a private journal :o)

Well what's been happening since i last made an entry...Not a lot as such really...Trying to get to see my doctor and failing miserably...He only works in that building 2 days a week...On a wed he is at their other practice and the other 2 days he works in the out of hours GP surgery up here...Suppose i could see someone else but don't want to...Not anything major wrong just womens troubles LOL...G seems to have settled into 6th year no problem...He's finding the Maths easy as per usual...The Physics he is finding easy but he did point out it's just the beginning of the course...Being how he is with maths is a major advantage with physics though...Our Advanced Higher courses i don't know if i said before are very similar to 1st year course at university...For some courses at university if you have the relevant adavanced highers then you can enter straight into 2nd year...That will NOT be happening with G...I'd rather he did go into 1st year at uni so he can get used to the different way of operating there...There is a parent information evening at the local college next tues...That's going to be fun as we're going to have to leave early...Am trying to get through to M that just because it is 2 hours long doesn't mean that you stay there for 2 hours LOL...The boys are going tenpin bowling with tuesday club next tues...So have to try and fit in both which will be fun NOT.

K has been awarded High rate mobility DLA for her difficulties with her legs...She's still on the crutches :o(  She is managing to walk a few steps without them but still mainly needs at least 1 for walking any distance...She has been given a name for what is wrong with them but it's nigh on impossible to find out any info online about it...All i can find is basically it is some kind of slight or partial paralysis in her legs...I know she reads this and i know she's gonna get ticked off with me for writing what am gonna say next but tough...I know she is worried because she has finally let that slip...I know exactly what she is worried about but i won't say that here...Hunny too many people have have said it could be what you're now worrying about...I know it is hard to ignore what they are saying but please try to...And if they won't test you to set your mind at rest then INSIST on another opinion...A scan will eliminate it.

M apparently did a 10K run at school today!!!!! First i knew of it and i think they were supposed to get sponsors...He didn't tell me about it at all, i have no idea if they did it as a relay type thing as i can't see them all having done 10K's!!!!! Hmmm must phone school and find out more...And if they were supposed to be sponsored i'll pop some money in to the school office...Stuart has asked me to do a card for him which am working on and happen to think is very pretty...The idea is sound it just needs some tweaking before finished article Stuart...Someone else asked about a card and i can't remember who ARRGGHHHHHH...Whoever it was please remind me and i will do one if still in time.

Charley is doing my head in in BB...She's a bully and so self centered it's unreal...She's also really playing the 'race' card...Now there's an interesting point...All the furore with CBB and CH4 having to do the apologies for it during this series of BB...Them kicking Emily out for saying a 'racist' word in this series...Yet the board that looks into it all decided last week or early this week that the 'racist' comments made on another CH4 reality series Shipwrecked was ok and not anything to get worked up about!!!!!....Hmmm double standards somewhere there...And the 'racism' on Shipwrecked was far worse than the 'racism' from Emily...Am sick fed up of political correctness...I treat everyone the same regardless of where they're from or what colour their skin happens to be...Once when i was at Art school an african guy who was part of the group i hung out with wanted to go out with me...When i turned him down he started calling me a racist amongst other stuff...Told him it had sod all to do with where he was from or colour his skin was...That he was an obnoxious pig and i'd have turned him down flat if he had been white and scottish...He is actually the most racist (in proper use of the word) person i have ever known in my life but he was also one of the best drummers i ever came across...And that was before the PC brigade got a hold on trying to control every aspect of our lives...Hmmm stopping there before i rant <ggg>

I have an AIMPage now...Another social networking site that i will no doubt make a complete mess of LOL...Have a look if you want

An Ickle Bit of Purple

My night to hog the telly...Well holby City then House :o)  And am determined my 2 are going to bed earlier tonight...They both looked at deaths door this morning and didn't want to get out of bed....Hmmm trying to get two teens to bed earlier that will be fun LOLOL

Men!!! don't understand them LOL

What is it with the males of the species?????...The two i live with do my head in too much LOL...Yesterday G was back at school properly to start 6th year...In Scotland we don't have 6th form college which is done over 2 years...Never understood that myself as 6th form would imply to me 6th year of schooling whether it be in a school or at a college...In Scotland if you want to do Highers then the majority stay on at school for 5th year...Highers are done over the space of ONE year unlike the A levels which are done over the space of two years...Some pupils if they haven't liked school much will leave and do them at a local FE college...But they don't always offer all the Higher that are available...Neither do all schools but the majority offer the most common ones...After 5th year if you want to stay on you can do 6th year...In 6th year you can do more Highers, more Standard Grades or Advanced Highers (used to be 6th year studies)...Most of the Advanced Higher courses are similar to 1st year at University...Anyways G had opted to do Advanced Higher Maths, Higher Geography and Standard Grade Admin...When the timetables came out last thurs that meant he had NOTHING on a monday...But Advanced Higher Technological Studies is running...As it was in same column as the geog he's changed to the tech studies instead...He's not the only pupil who changed a subject for that one though...Bless him he thought Admin was to do with computing...I said no it's office work orientated...So yeah it is computer related but NOT in the way you think...So yesterday when he got in he not only changed the Geog for Tech Studies but he dropped Admin for Higher Physics...He's not done Physics since S2 but it's similar to tech studies and as he's so good at Maths they said no problem...Well the Physics was in a different column on the choice sheet and timetable to Admin...So he'd gone in yesterday with spare keys for the flat...He phoned me at 11.30am to say he was getting the bus home...That's all nowt else...Two hours later at 1.30pm i decided to phone the base to see where he was...Bearing in mind when he LEFT that morning he had NOTHING on a mon in his timetable...He now has physics on a mon afternoon LOL...He is going to take public transport home after his class on a mon and not his taxi...MEN!!!!!!!!!!!!! why can't they explain things PROPERLY LOL...Both his physics and tech studies classes are at the other school...His maths some is in his own school and some at the other school...Like today he has double periods of Maths....The 1st period which is just before lunch is at his own school, the 2nd period just after lunch is at the other school...On 3 days during the school week he is at the other school in the afternoons...So instead of his taxi taking the lad that lives local home, then going back and waiting for G to get off the shuttle bus G is just going to take the public transport bus...HIS decision and not the bases decision which is ok...If it had been the bases decision i wouldn't have been too happy...As for M he's just being a typical pain in the butt 16 year old male teenager LOL

The big launch

Well it was the big day today...The launch of the DVD at one of the local cinemas...G was sick so unable to go :o(  M had a speech to do introducing the DVD to everyone in the screening room...He did really well standing up and talking in front of everyone :o) The DVD itself is fantastic...It was funded by the local council education dept and a copy is being put out to every education establishment in the city...Am not sure about the shire but i hope it is as a couple of the lads involved are from the shire...There will be a few feathers ruffled and noses put out of joint at some of the schools by what some of the boys have said...But who cares as it is how they felt about how they had been treated in certain schools...Ok the schools aren't named but the ones involved will know exactly who they are when they see the boys...They all spoke a bit about bullying, their ASD, difficulty in making friends etc...It is so professional looking and really is a credit to all the boys and the one girl in the Triple A team, to the volunteers who give up their free time to run the group and to the arts people who helped them to make the DVD...It was really good to see one of the blokes from Peacock visual arts along to watch it...He did so much with them...Him and one of the other workers from Peacocks showed them how to film and not just with a small camcorder but proper video camera with mikes etc...They also worked with them on showing them how to edit film on the computer, how to add in special effects and how to add in sounds...They all learnt a heck of a lot about the film making process and also made friends whilst doing so...A couple of the lads in the group are now home educated so more isolated and the group has helped them a lot...One of them went to the same base as G for a while and was on G's taxi and G missed him a lot so was chuffed when he started at the group.

Now Stuart did an entry today calling us women and alien race LOL...It's so funny but all the boys in the club act totally different when the only girl is there...They apparently become more gentlemanly, curb their language and treat her with more respect than they do the other boys...Regardless of the surge in 'feminism' and equal opportunities since the 1960's there must be some inate inbuilt trigger in males to treat women with some kind of deference...Am all for equal opportunities but at times it can be ok to be treated like a lady...Not that i am a lady by any a very long stretch and i don't mean having door opened or some bloke giving up a seat...Those 2 examples are plain good manners irrespective of whether someone is male or female...I dunno it's just sometimes nice to be cared for i guess.

K's boyfriend has been voted in as an MSYP today so they're both chuffed to bits about that...So big congrats to him :o) Am absolutely shattered as after we watched the launch me and a friend took M to spend his b/d money in HMV...He now just needs one boxed set of Quantum Leap DVD's...We then had lunch and then we put him on a bus home and went wandering around town LOL...John Lewis don't have any swarovski crystals left that i like and goodness knows when they will get more back in...To be honest am better buying online and i can get more shapes, colours and sizes that way...But for samples it was easier going to John Lewis and no-where else here sells them...Anyways hope you all have a good weekend
