Car back at last but am broke now LOL

                        

 

I've lost track of the days LOL...Last week i was on a lower dose of these pills and my body got used to them by sat...On tues i had to start taking higher dose and am knocked for six again...Don't think i have slept so much in years...I've never needed a lot of sleep so it's ever so slightly annoying but at least i don't feel all foggy for a few hours after i eventually waken enuff to get up properly...I have managed to waken long enuff to get the boys up and out to school.

So tues i got my car back, FINALLY, just after 5pm...The mechanic explained why it took so long...MOT's are now all computerised...The testing station MUST have the car hooked up to a computer for at least an HOUR to test...So even though there is nothing wrong with the car and the MOT only takes 20 mins it still has to be hooked to the computer for an hour...They can only do 6 MOT's in a day and 2 re-tests...now considering if your car fails you only have 3 days in which to get it fixed then re-tested for free to me this is some dark scheme to make you have to pay for re-test...The tyre that failed was the one i thought must be LOL...My bill is £288 <OUCH> ...Tyre i know will have been around £25, numberplate hmmm i know you can get them for around a fiver...I have no idea if i have been charged for fixing the handbrake...Personally i don't think i should have been but i don't actually have the bill to see yet...Mechanic did say that it was this ball joint thing that cost so much...Not for the actual part but the taking out of old one and fitting new one as it's in an awkward place...This computerised system has been in place for the last year...All testing stations had a year's grace to actually get it up and running...Unfortunately the testing station they use left it all until the last minute hence all the chaos...I can see the garage owner having a few words with the place when he gets back from his hols...Oh well i have the car back and it's legal and am mobile for another year <fingers crossed>

Yesterday K went off down south to visit her boyfriend for a few days...She's back on sat...One of his younger brothers has already given her a bloody nose LOL...Her fella doesn't think she will survive the chaoticness (is that a proper word???) of their house LOL...As she says if she can live with the boys she can survive anywhere ROFL...So what did i do yesterday...Well i slept all morning <sigh> ...I woke long enuff to catch a whole 2 seconds of an article they had on This Morning...Read about it this afternoon on their website...It's about the lack of respite in this country for parents of children with disabilities...Something i can very much empathise with...To be honest these pills may help but even if they do overnight care and regular breaks from the boys would do me far more good...It's all well and good having respite during the day but being able to go out in the evening, even if just down to the pub, and to be just ME for a few hours would be better...Still i could dwell on it forever and a day and not much difference be made so no point on dwelling on it...Maybe me now being on these anti depressants will give a teensy shove in right direction i dunno...Last night i had to try and sort out some stuff that i do online and try and find out what needs to be done as am floundering a bit in the darkhere with it all just now...But i will get it all sorted out one way or another :o)

Today i've tried to phone and get a human being on the other end to answer my question LOL...Kept getting answering thingy...Don't you just hate that when you have a question to ask someone...On sat in Scotland FREE bus travel becomes available ALL OVER scotland for OAP's and disabled...Well back when the applications were filled out for the boys new concessionary passes we were told that they would arrive early this week...Have they heck <sigh> My mum who lives in a different area got hers last saturday...If they're not in the post tomorrow then i am going down to the office to ask why not...Problem is our postie is not delivering our post until 1pm or after now...Which gives me about 40 mins to go into town and back...The boys finish school early tomorrow as it is beginning of the easter holidays...Oh the message on the answering machine says they can still use their old ones until the new ones come though but that is beside the point...Also that is they can be used in the city ONLY not anywhere else...Considering this was all sorted out back in january/begfeb it's ridiculous they are now taking ages to post them...Can you tell am annoyed LOL

Well at least i have my car back LOL...It's even parked right in front of my block SHOCK...First time since before christmas LOL...I was going to wash it as there must have been a lot of seagulls using it for target practise round at the garage but it's raining today so the rain has done the job for me LOLOL...Mind you although we have rain it's not cold which is good

SCREEEEEEEAAAAMMMMMMMMMMMM

In the words of the cartoon character Taz %$0&*%0 fshrgnsfs...I still have no car, that's been since last tuesday SCREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEAAAAAMMMMM...Boys have footie training tonite...G's tracksuit is clarted (covered) in mud from pe today...M wants to go but doesn't want to walk there...I don't want to walk there either...To be honest the walk would do me some good but i just don't wanna walk that far...I do want to go to the gym...The gym makes me feel good...I've eaten nothing but a whole pile of utter rubbish since last monday and need to do somethign about it...It's too cold for G to walk that far in just shorts...Oh well they have until 5.30 to decide...I should get the car back tomorrow <fingers crossed> ...It did fail MOT but not too badly but they couldn't fix the bits until today...They never got it back until fri anyways...Hmmm front number plate was fine but it failed...Wonder if someone broke it whilst it was sat there waiting to go for MOT...It needs a tyre and handbrake i knew would fail...The garage owner is in australia on holiday just now...He'd have given me a loan of a car whilst mine was in for so long <sigh> DLA people have mucked up G's payments and they have restarted them but when he gets one is anyones guess.

On a good note i don't feel so fogged up with the anti depressents now but tomorrow i have to up the doseage so presume am gonna get fogged up for a few days again...I really have no idea if they are making a difference or not...they did knock me for six and made me sleep loads until last nite...I couldn't sleep at all and have no idea why...Tossed and turned the whole nite, so much so i was tempted to switch this thing back on and come on and surf LOL...Even with very little sleep i don't feel tired today so maybe my body had overdone the sleep thing...K is going down to visit her boyfriend on wed and coming home on sat :o) ...Poor her had a sore tummy yesterday and is saying i food poisoned her LOL...M made me a coffee for first time ever on sat :o) Coffee tastes so much better when you don't make it yourself...I got a home made card, long lie and G went bought my brekkie for me yesterday...He wanted to go buy a pressie but i told him the dragon shop is closed on a sun...As schools are closed tomorrow he can go out then i said...Am really not that bothered about getting a bought pressie...A long lie and some peace & quiet are enuff of a pressie for me for mothers day...Anyways off to scream some more about the car...

I want my car back WWAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!

Rant

The pic is of me when i was away...My fake nails were chainmail and they were so cool <ggg> My hair is actually purple now but doesn't look it in that pic :o(  Looks more wine than purple and it's not even a red based purple but a blue based one...Never mind my hair is cool too <ggg>  Am also ever so slightly tiddly in the pic LOL

Well i went to see my GP...I really wish K could have come with me but the time i got given for appointment someone had to be at home for the boys getting in from school...I did talk about her and she knows that and was ok about it...I had to because she is part of my problem...So my ever so nice and luffly doctor said i do have several signs of mild depression...Basically i went in and said right i can't cope anymore i have had enuff...Said i had too much on with the boys all at same time ie: meetings etc...And told him about K...He asked how long i have been like this and saaid since mid to end jan...I also said i had hoped my weekend break would be enuff to pick me up but it wasn't...He asked if i had enjoyed my weekend and i said yes i did although i did drink a teensy bit too much <ggg>  He laffed and said that was alright...He also said it was significant that i had enjoyed my break...My can't be bothered doing anything, lack of sleep, sleeping too much, being a narky old bag and feeling like crap has now got me on mild anti depressants...He had said there was 2 routes to go down...Route 1 going for counselling and route 2 the pills...I can talk to people and have been so counselling really wasn't best option...Maybe am not as bad as i thought i was as some things he asked am not anywhere like that...I guess if i had ignored and left it then i would have got to that stage...I did say i think i've done not too bad managing without anything for last 14 years...He agreed with that :o) ...So am on these low doseage pills for the next 7 days and then i go onto a higher dose...They have really knocked me for 6 today though...I did manage to waken up for long enuff to get G out of bed...Didn't for M but his taxi waited for him :o) That is first time i have cried in front of my doctor except when i have been in physical pain

On to K now...My GP is horrified and disgusted with her treatment...He agreed it is completely unprofessional to call a patient weird just because you can't find the problem...From my description of what is happening to her and what he remembered from her notes from 2 years ago he doesn't think she should have been refered to neurology...He said it sounds more like she should have been refered to cardiac...According to him it sounds like heart arrhythmia...Which is common enuff in someone her age...That can be fixed with either meds or a small pacemaker being fitted...He also said it is my worries about K that have tipped me over the edge...That is most likely true...Usually a break does help me and i do wish i could have some more often but i can't due to lack of funds and overnite respite places...He said that our practice would have had her on 24 hours blood pressure and heart monitor...And would have refered her as being needed seen urgently...I asked should i take her in to see him or just to take her to A&E...As he would refer her up there anyway then just to take her to A&E...So come hell or high water and even if have to fake it she is going there ASAP...Well soon's i have car back and am fit to drive...She recieved a letter today that her housekeeper had forwarded on...From neurosciences asking that she phone within TWO WEEKS of getting the letter and for her to make appointment herself...Well she will BUT i am determined we have got to the bottom of this before then.

Now on to the car...I phoned today and it's still not had MOT done...The garage my wee garage sends cars to for MOT only took one car yesterday :o( ...So no idea how badly it has failed and how much needs fixing and how much it will cost me...I need to go do a big food shop so am going to have to beg someone for a lift tonite in order to do that...As ALL council workers are on strike next tues then schools are probs going to be closed too <sigh> Had enuff of schools being closed but this is a UK wide strike...And this i think is enuff of a rant today by me so will bid you adieu

Testing

Hmmmm are alerts going out for my blog or have people got them turned off for it??? Before i write a screed in here today i wanna know LOL...Okies i will be doing the screed anyways but i don't think alert went out yesterday at all :o(

cars, docs and assorted bits

                                         

 

Well car is in for MOT which it will fail...The handbrake which was nice and tight after brakes getting fixed went all slack on sat :o(  ...One of the seatbelts is twisted and i can't get it untwisted...Think something is stuck in exhaust too LOL...Oh well will see what all is wrong later today...I had to take it along late after phoning and explaining i needed to go to G's school...Funny how the base blame ME if he forgets something...I did notice he had left some work at home but then thought can't have been due back today...It was and was due back in before 9.45am...So they phoned and demanded i get it out there...Am so fed up of that place not only do they try to rule every aspect of G's life but also mine...Am sure the head of the place also bad mouths M when talking about G to other professionals...And people wonder why i don't have a job <sigh> I did manage to get an appointment this afternoon for me with my GP...I will be mentioning K whilst amd in there too...Well she is part of my problem so it's not like am trying to be sneaky LOL.

We rushed down to edinburgh after the boys got home from school on fri...Didn't manage to leave until 4.30pm...Actually got out of the city about 4.50 by time we got diesel etc...How i didn't trigger any speed cameras i dunno...Well i did have M in passenger seat looking out for them <ggg> We eventually arrived at the uni about 7.10pm...Then we had to pack the car up with all the stuff she was leaving at my pals...The boys helped to carry that down to the car and get it in there...Then we left K to finish packing, clearing up and get ready to go out for the night...Went to my pals and unloaded the stuff...Said to pal right we're going to tesco i NEED a drink LOL...So we left my 2 with her lad and popped down there...The boys were all fine and her lad adores G <bless> ...We had a good natter and a few drinks, some laffs and some more drinks...I did manage to get up in the morning to go back over to the uni...We got the car packed and K handed in her keys on time...Such a pilaver for 4 weeks...Right pain having to clear everything out for such a short length of time...If she gets a flat and only has a week between moving out of halls at summer and moving into flat then friend said can leave piles at hers as just for a week...Either that or next time i am going to hire a van LOL

M took down his conference stuff to show to my friend...It was first time he let me see the DVD they made and it is really good...Very to the point and brilliant as done by kids with problems themselves...Not all of them have special needs/disability...Some english is 2nd language and other such stuff...The new additional support for learning act in scotland covers ANY TYPE of support needed...Wether it be because of disability, english as 2nd language, been in hospital long term ill, parents splitting up etc...Very good idea in my opinion...Anyways i will natter more about this later as i have to go get bits to put on nieces birthday card...She's 21 tomorrow and i want something pretty for it...She has her pressie from me and mum already...Well she chose it and knows what it is am not sure if she actually has it...Mum's back in hossy up north so don't know...Really better go or i'll be here all day LOL...I should have got K the appointment but i really need it myself and maybe he will advise me and make sure he see's her himself next week <fingers crossed>

Grown up wee man

My baby has just got home from school...He looks so grown up in his pinstripe jacket, shirt & tie that he looks like he just got in from work...Sniff i don't want my baby getting all grown up on me...He was also carrying a briefcase type bag which made him look even older...They got it at the conference he was at today...He was also given a ten pound gift card for wh smith for helping to organise it :o) We had panic stations this morning though...8.30 thought we hear the taxi and he looked out window but not his taxi...8.40 toot toot again so he went downstairs, came back up not his taxi...He started to get well agitated as the conference was due to start at 9.30 in the exhibition centre...So at 8.50 i phoned the school...My pal who works their answered and she said the taxi is running late today of all days...His escort had an appointment so was different escort...Well his escort got a call from taxi firm at 8.20 to say taxi had broken down they'd be late...She said different escort today not me...So eventually the replacement taxi went to pick up the other escort at 8.40...So at 9.15 and still no sign of a taxi i phoned school again...the stupid <deleteds> had picked up the other escort then dropped HER at school at 9.10 saying they had no address list to pick up the kids!!!!!!...By this time school had decided that the teacher accompanying the 6 kids going to the conference would just pick up the other lad from taxi and M on way to it...Only thing was she wasn't sure where either the other lad or us lived...So quick call to other lads house to tell them to tell teacher to pick up M on main street where we would wait...Which is what happened...What a pilaver and by time M was gone it was now 9.40...The school will be reporting the firm and they will get fined but as pal said that's all they can do...It's not M's taxi drivers fault but the firms fault...They have the kids addresses, it's not that difficult to tell a new driver where to go grrrrrrrr...He did enjoy the conference, he said he answered a couple of questions and that there was a rock band playing there LOL...He even ate the lunch provided!!!...Like i said my baby is getting all grown up now <sob>

I was sad and watched the commonwealth games this morning...Well both me and M were watching the swimming...Well done to the british swimmers so far who have got medals...Especially well done to the 2 Scottish swimmers who won Gold :o) ...The lad who won the 400m mens freestyle is actually from here, even though he has trained in australia for last 18 months...Can see him getting some kind of civil reception and celebration once they are finished and he's back in the city...I had an appointment with G at lunchtime but will leave that for another entry...It was with occupational therapist and was quite involved...I need a coffee as it's so cold again and am praying no snow as tomorrow we go down to edinburgh to take K home for easter...I will feel a bit happier once she is here...Actually one more thing...M had epilepsy when he was a toddler...At the time he couldn't say wether he felt like he wa going to have a seizure or not...Now i discovered Quantum Leap on ITV3 at 6pm mon-fri...I love that programme and the boys have decided they love it too...Tues episode was one where Sam leapt into a guy who was having electric shock treatment...M suddenly said he remembered having that...Said no you haven't...He said i remember having wires stuck on my head...12 years ago this month he had an EEG done to see if he had epilepsy...He was 2 at the time and this is what he was remembering...That kinda freaked me a wee bit...He then asked me if K was doing same as he did when he had a seizure...So i asked what he meant...He said i used to feel funny, then fall to ground and shake...I told him K is blacking out and falling because of that bu not shaking...He wants to help her in case she has same thing he used to have...He said i got medicine to help make me better...I know i have a few memories from when i was 2-3 years old and they were i guess traumatic experiences at the time...M has never ever spoken about this before and it's all be triggered by the programme and what's happening to K...He seems to be coping with it all far better than me...Anyway i NEED coffee LOL
