Weekend stuff

Didn't sleep much on fri night as stupid pain in side came back...Think it must have been the submarine roll from marks & sparks that did it or maybe it was nothing that set it off...It's been there all weekend although not been sick this time...Been bossed at online and offline to go to docs...Refused to go over weekend see out of hours one and i will try my best to get an appointment with one tomorrow...Think my body just after having a break and wanting to be lazy as daft nameless thing has flared up which doesn't help...Anyways am not moaning and enuff rubbish about it more important stuff around than my stupid body...

Yesterday i did nothing except sleep or phone people...Eldest went to see war of the worlds with their carer...He enjoyed it although he did say he may not want to buy the DVD...Told him we have to so i can see it LOL...I haven't been to the cinema for ages as the boys always go with their carer...I do want to go see Charlie & the Chocolate Factory though just to drool over johnny depp <ggg> ...I'll drag youngest along twice if needs be LOL...My mass clean didn't happen for obvious reasons <sigh>

Footie season has started again and my team won this afternoon :o) ...Watched the grand prix but hungarian one isn't usually very exciting as it's hard to overtake there...Kids are moaning as not much food in as i haven't managed to go shopping duh!!!...Had very sad news yesterday about an old friend from room i frequent on here...She lost her battle with cancer and died last week...It's a shock, she was a wonderfully funny person who will be greatly missed by a lot of people...Can hardly believe only 2 weeks left and kids are back at school...These hols have flown by so quick and we still haven't managed to go up north to visit my mum and sisters...Fingers crossed am fit to drive either end of next week or the following one...Off to lie down again and maybe have a bath...Toodle pip tc all xxx

WOOHOO!!!!!!

WOOHOO!!!!! they've gone :o) ...Okies so this is just the demolition lot that have gone but hey peace and quiet, can open the windows even though tis raining...Next will be them coming in to build the flats but i don't think that will be quite so noisy nor as messy...If it is will be phoning enviromental health again LOL...Got a phone call asking if youngest could go do his interview this afternoon so said yes...Meant i didn't have time to go for a swim at the gym but i did do my weights workout...

Eldest lad came down with us so could get pics of him for the forms...Daftie here forgot to take pics of youngest with me...Also forgot their DLA letters so couldn't renew the leisure cards...Will do them on monday as don't need them before then anyways...Need 5 passport size pics of eldest grrrrrrr told him he can use an old school one for leisure card...Found a game bashing bricks on neopets and it's very theraputic <gggg> ...Going to have a nice long soak in bath later and do nowt all evening :o) ...Must go shopping to look for birthday pressies soon as have a few in 1st couple of weeks of august...Will make my own cards for them though...Toodle pip tc xxx

Quickie

Forgot to say something in yesterdays entry duh!!!! I found the MP3 player :o) ...On wed before i went had a nap (didn't get it in the end) i ordered youngest off the sofa he was on...Then lifted it up to put on it's side...Was gonna get youngest to hold it up for me but he started moaning about helping...Then he spied a *lost* certificate under the sofa and got mega excited...Eldest lad came over from puter and held it up on edge whilst i cut open a wee bit along an edge...Low and behold one MP3 player found inside sofa...Guess what youngest was more excited about finding the certificate than anything else...He drives me nuts at times he really does LOL...Enviromental health just phoned the officer had looked at the plans and they had permission to start at 7am...Ridiculous start time in a residential area, especially during school hols...She asked if any dust today and i said well am only just up i don't know yet and it's raining so i would think probs not...They're supposed to finish today anyway HURRAH!!!...I did say i wasn't only one complaining during the week and the dust had been horrendous and they obviously hadn't taken any steps are required to dampen down...Just hope when actual building starts to go up there isn't so much mess...Kids still asleep so am sneaking off to the gym...TTFN xx

Forms galore lol

Still got headache on and off i think it's the weather as it's stuffy in the flat...All i have done today is fill in forms, pick up other forms to fill in and run around in town about the forms...Got the one sent off for photo drivers licence though :o) ...Eldest blue badge has gone awol so one of the forms is for a replacement need to get his pic taken tomorrow for that...Got yet another for youngest for a blue badge and if he's turned down yet again am gonna appeal and create a stooshy (scottish word)...Got forms for renewing access to leisure cards need pics for them too...Access to leisure card is a card our council do for people on certain benefits and for OAP's...Means swimming is free except at the leisure pool down the beach (half price there)...Other council run leisure facilities are half price :o) ...Eldest lads skiing and snowboarding lessons are half price via it...Because the boys are disabled they get what is called an assitance card to go with theirs which means anyone accompanying them gets same discount...Whilst in place that does this they checked their bus concession passes and woman gave me new forms for them...They aren't due for renewal yet but she said they should have companion passes...I'd said they'd been turned down for them and she though it was ridiculous...Will give it another try and see what happens...If they refuse again then will be another appeal...So lots of forms to fill in, get pics for and hand back tomorrow LOL...

Whilst down at council place i went to enviromental health to complain about building site out back...They are now digging up the foundations and it's getting worse...Apparently they shouldn't be starting before 8am...Am not the only one who has complained either...The air is full of dust, you can taste in your mouth as soon as you walk out the door...Even with my windows shut you can smell horrid nasty acrid concrete dust everywhere...I played on eldest lads asthma...He says he feels ok but he doesn't look right...His eyes are all red and he's rubbing them all the time, could be hayfever but dust won't be helping...We can't go out back into garden at all it's a health hazard...The woman i spoke to said they are supposed to douse down buildings that are being demolished so dust doesn't go everywhere so bad...Hope all us who have been complaining are listened to...

Eldest didn't go to circus he decided he didn't like the idea of it...He is going to his friends after respite next tues though for tea and the evening...Really need to arrange when we can go up north to visit everyone...I must go to the gym tomorrow as i haven't been since tues...Too many meetings and other stuff to do <sigh> ...Going to go quiz now...Toodle pip tc xx

Wednesday

Woke up with a migraine so went back to sleep and avoided the gym...Now know why i have been so emotional last few days and also why the migraine...If your male and reading this you wouldn't understand LOL...Roll on the menopause i say :o) ...Still in 2 minds if to go private for the rants or not...I know there are people who read this journal who have kids similar to mine...I also know there are people who read it who are similar to my lads...Lots i know just read and don't leave comments and i don't want to upset anyone...I know when you have young kids same as my lads that looking at the future is scary and reading what i am going through just now could make that worse...In saying that they are all individuals and not everyone is the same or goes through same stuff...I have 2 and they are as different as chalk and cheese yet have same condition...This is what drives me potty at times with ASD as most other disabilities can be the same...By that i mean the disability affects whoever has it the same way and you can deal with it in a very similar method or use same techniques...ASD has such an incredibly wide variance it can be incredibly frustrating to cope with...Don't know if i have done this before but below am going to do a little history...

With my eldest is was blatently obvious there was a problem when he was just 18 months old...He didn't talk at all, he would drag you to whatever he wanted and point...As i had know someone with glue ear i did think it was that...He'd been getting regular check ups on his hearing anyway...By the time he was 29 months old the ENT dept decided both his ears were full of fluid and he was booked in to get them syringed and grommets put in...He was also put on waiting list for speech therapy...My ex took him up to the hospital to get it all done, by this time he was past 2 n half years old...That morning they looked in his ears again and said both were full of fluid...When they got home at 3pm my ex said they had done nothing whilst he'd been knocked out!!!!...When he was under they found no fluid and no sign of there ever having been any there...I of course went nuts and phoned my health visitor to demand he was seen at local assessment centre...Now a friend had a son who was autistic and we'd both decided eldest was the same...So GP wrote a letter to this place asking could he been seen as we thought he had autism...This was back in 1992 long before autism was well known by people as it is now...They decided to take him in for a weeks assessment and that was done in april 1993 just after he turned 3...At end of the week we got told he was autistic...Now back then he was quite severely autistic as he didn't speak or anything...He'd also been put on a waiting list for a place in special language unit here...He got a place there in january 1995 and they got him talking within 6 weeks!!!!! Once he started there was no stopping him...He left the language unit for mainstream primary school part way through 1st term of primary 2...He coped brilliantly academically but due to horrible bullying i moved him to a different primary school in easter of primary 5...The 2 years he spent in the other primary school were brill...He's now in secondary 4 in a specialist base for aspergers/high functioning autism...He's doing fantastically well although socially he still has some problems...There is a parent in our support group who knew him as a toddler...She hadn't seen him since he was about 6 until he was 13...She could hardly believe he was the same kid...His school are even talking about him going to university :o) ...Now my point in that brief history there is that although things can sometimes look bleak when they are younger they aren't always...On the other hand youngest developed normally as a toddler...He was a right chatterbox actually LOL...I'll do a brief history of him another entry...I just want the help he needs just now as i know as his mum that he can achieve like his brother...Maybe not quite as high as university academically but he can achieve and gain more than his horrendous mood swings are allowing for just now...I know my mum would help me to go private for help BUT it would be the same people i saw!!!!...My anger is really with the clinical psych who refuses to see him...Maybe i should move to cambridge or sutherland so he could be seen at the units at the universitys there LOL...I really believe that there should be specialist clinical psychs, psychiatrists, educational psychs etc specifically for autism...Maybe one day there will be for others in the future...

The builders are just starting LOL...This is the ground being cleared to build yet another block of flats...It is barrat who are building them...So once the ground is cleared there will be more actual building work going on for months and months...They took over a year tobuild a block of 20+ flats out the back in a different corner <sigh>...It's not just the mess and noise but the workers take up all of the few parking spaces we have around here...Then yesterday the next street down they put down double yellow lines AARRGGHHH...Ok so these brand new flats are being built with private parking...What about the people who live here who are in the old victorian tenaments who do not have that privilege...I can't get a disabled parking bay, they keep refusing me one, yet i am supposed to make youngest walk ages from parking car to getting to our flat...The main street has 3 main bus routes on it and lorrys etc using it all the time...It is one of the main streets here and it is dangerous for someone who although he can walk has the road sense of a 5-6 year old...Anyways am off to lie down for a nap...Toodle pip tc xx

Filth

No not the naughty kind of filth....Disgusting dusty messy filth...It's earthquake central here again today <sigh> ...I can't open the windows of the flat and it's getting so stuffy in here...The dust or stoor as we call it is unbelieveable even with windows closed...My kitchen is FILTHY and am fed up constantly cleaning it...When i wash a dish i have to dry immediately without putting it on the rack or it's covered in dust...Would say it will get better but it won't as next they will be building the flats...Can't hang washing out either and i like to hang mine out when no rain just so it gets some fresh air...Eldest is sniffing and coughing like crazy i really hope he doesn't get a wheezing asthma attack with all this crap...The demolishing contractors are actually overrunning as they were supposed to be finished last fri...Then was supposed to be today and they have no chance...Not unless they work all night <shudder>

I went to the gym whilst boys were at respite to get away from the noise...See am still going even though trainer has left :oP ...Popped into asda to buy another sorting file thingy...The one i have the catch on it broke...I use one of them for putting all my bits of paper, cards blanks, and other card making stuff in...I really should have gotten 2 as i think the other one got too heavy LOL...The boys went out to a park 14 miles from here for the day with respite and had a good day...Fingers crossed youngest stays in good mood from it...Still haven't bothered to slit bottom of that sofa today as i really need help upending it and daughter is out somewhere LOL...

Went a bit daft this morning again and maybe i should go see GP for myself and get some *happy* pills...Don't want them though and always managed without...Been thinking maybe if i do get them (but not take) then could give more of an ooomph to getting some help...Also been thinking maybe the rubbish stuff i should start another private journal to write down in...I do find it helpful to write it down on paper so to speak....I just don't want to have people either feelign sorry for me reading it or it depressing anyone...Anyways got to go buy more ham as youngest had left it out of the fridge this morning and as he said it is now all yuk and disgusting...That's with the windows closed for crying out loud...It's not nice having to wash every surface several times a day just to keep kitchen germ free...Oh am asking a friend to do me some other siggys maybe she can do a nice big smiley faced one for me instead of yet more dragons LOL...I do like my dragons though especially the flapping wings ones :o) ...Toodle pip for now tc xx

this 'n' that

First a thank you for the nice comments...I don't get that down too often honestly just at times it really gets to me...Still haven't found dratted MP3 player but haven't gutted their bedroom yet...Am going to turn the 3 seater sofa on it's edge laters and slit a hole in the bottom to see if it's fallen in there <fingers crossed> ...It's nowhere else in the living room and the headphones were on that sofa...Player is always on end of his headphones so i have to look there...He told his sister i had been acting weird on sat afternoon too...Me being how i was so doesn't make sense to him but him saying 'i can't talk about it' 'i need to watch sonic' etc doesn't make sense to me...I KNOW it's his autism but it does drive me up the wall so much at times...He's deifnitely regressed since january and it's upsetting...Friend has noticed the regression too...If school haven't noticed then it could be he's acting different there...They tend to do that a lot in my experience...Oh well this is start of 4th week of hols so not long to go until they back there LOL...

Yesterday i did not a lot as i had such a headache and felt crap...Watched the grand prix which was a good one...Then persuaded the boys to watch the remainder of the motogp which youngest found exciting...I have always wanted a motorbike but i wouldn't fancy driving one round a circuit in the pouring rain the drivers did yesterday...Went and got daughter off the train at 11.45pm last night...She'd had a great time in leicester and they all loved the scottish fairy ROFL...All these youth parliament meetings she goes to she wears a set of fairy wings!!!!...She had on a UKYP t-shirt which everyone had signed...Am glad she had such a good time...Her friend who i picked up too left his mp3player down there DUH!!!...What si it with mp3 players just now LOL...He'd also been stopped FOUR times on the way to the station on thurs and taken to the main police station up here too...All because he had a biggish rucksack on his bag and had his hair cut on No2 <sigh> ...He'd let them look in his bag and told them several times where he was going to and why...I did notice when i picked them up last night there was two transport policemen waiting for the train and generally checking around the station...Guess one thing that has come of the last 2 weeks events is police are more visible on the streets etc...

Got woken by the *earthquake* men out the back again this morning...As i type they are still knocking stuff down and the flat is shuddering...Went to the gym and did my weights workout along with a swim...Went to the desk to book my review with the trainer and he's LEFT <sob> ...He's gone got a job offshore TUT...Ok am being shallow and peeved he left as he was good looking...It's not the only reason, he was nice and friendly to everyone who goes there regularly...Even if he was not working and in working out himself he stood and spoke to people and asked how they were getting on...The others don't seem to do that as much...Oh well got a new female trainer reviewing my programme next week...Went got pics done in asda for a photo driving licence...Am fed up having no photo ID and so many things you need photo ID for i decided to get my licence changed...Man in DVLA office said i need birth certificate and then asked if i was single...Said no am divorced so he said you'll need marriage certificate...Said erm don't have that anymore LOL but i do have divorce one...Hopefully it along with birth certificate will be fine...Chances of me going abroad as zilch or i would have bought a passport instead...Probs have same hassle with that though...Both my maiden and married names are on divorce one so they can just accept that...Am skipping weightwatchers tonight as i have been a complete pig over the weekend and i can't be bothered...Will be back on track tomorrow though...I did ask in asda last week if they can put negatives onto CD and got told yes...Will need to look out my black and white pics and get that done...Bought some charms to put on cards...After i have gutted the flat properly then i am going to sit down and make loads of new cards...Sorry entry been so long and rambling...Toodle pip for now tc xxx
