I don't exist LOL

Hmmmm not happy...I went to add on Sara as a friend on my MySpace only to find that my page was all wonky...My friends were there and not a lot else...I couldn't log in as i kept getting that my password was invalid...So i tried to email them...Oh joy they didn't recognise my email addy!!!!! So what a pilaver to go through to contact them and ask what on earth was going on....Then tonite when i try to click on the link to my MySpace i find that my account has been deleted...No informing from them that they have done so...Now who the hell that would want to hack into and mess up my MySpace i dunno...It's not like i had loads of people on it as friends or anything...What really annoys me is a very dear friend from high school and college found me again via it...He was one of my best friends and we lost contact after i married my ex...He didn't like my ex much LOL...Ok so he was right in the long run but that's all water under the bridge now...I was just so chuffed to bits to be back in contact again after so many eyars had passed...He's very happily married and living part in Scotland and part in Colorado...I have now contact MySpace again telling them precisely what i think <ggg> Politely of course LOL.

Am so so porud of M...It's going to sound really silly as to why like...He went to the small barbers round the corner yesterday and got his hair cut....First time he has been to a hairdresser since he was around 2...I have always cut his with clippers but he decided last oct to grow it longer...Well i can't cut with scissors so it was getting out of hand...So when he got up yesterday he asked to go to the barbers after school...I went with him of course as i was very wary as to what he would be like...But he sat there good as gold and let her cut his hair...With scissors and then with clippers to finish off and tidy up the back and around his ears...I said to the other woman it's a pity you can't go and train to cut mens hair only...She said you can...I said well everyone i've asked has always said you need to do full course...But no you can go to evening classes for a year at the local college to learn to do mens hair only...So i am going to look into doing that after the summer...If it's available then i will sign up...Yeah i could get a job being a mobile mens barber for boys with special needs....Am sure there is a big market for that here as i know loads who won't go near the hairdressers...See years ago when the boys were both little the hairdresser i used also went into one of the local SEN schools for severely disabled kids and did their hair...So he was brill as he didn't put pressure on either of my two and knew wot to expect...G let him do his hair but M wouldn't...It was after he left this area that i got the clippers and started doing theirs and their fathers myself...Also at teatime tonite me and M went to the information evening at the local college about his link course...It sounds great...Possibly a bit too easy for him but he will learn about coping with doing college or work instead of school...Good transition scheme IMO...Actually once the woman in charge was finished showing her slides and talking about the various sunjects they offer for the link course she answered questions...And M being M wasn't afraid to ask LOLOL...She was well impressed with that and said well at least he knows what he wants and isn't scared to ask stuff...One of his friends from school was there with his mum...Neither of the two of them wanted their mums with them ROFL...This course is treated as part of school so if we have any problems we contact the school...They also inform the school if they don't turn up <ggg> So no skiving off for no valid reason <ggg> The other lads mum i was asking how her business is going...She went to art school to down in England...Her hubby is from up this way and they moved back up here 4 years ago to get better and appropriate schooling for their son...She does caricatures and does them for weddings...I mentioned my wedding favours ideas to her and she said go for it...Last wedding exhibition she had a stall at the one next to her was favours and they did a roaring trade...And that was just the tiny boxes wrapped in ribbons etc...SO here's hoping by end of the week my womens problems have naffed off for another 6 months and i feel fit enough to do a big search of the flat to find my crochet stuff LOL...My GP is off this week so no chance of seeing him...Found that out yesterday when i phoned to get an appointment with him and for the practice nurse to see M immediately...We ended up in A&E instead grrrrr...Bleeding noses runs on my mums side of the family...Bearing in mind my mum had 8 brothers and 1 sister and some of them have big families too there isn't a single family who hasn't someone who gets them...Both K and M get them...K has had her nose cauterised umpteen times...M hasn't ever had his done...Well just after he got up yesterday and announced he wanted the barbers and he'd been and washed himself he started shouting from his room...What a sight, his white polo shirt had a huge red streak down it...I know they can look worse than they are though...But this time it just wouldn't stop...Like a fountain just pouring blood everywhere :o(  Can't phone surgery until 8.30am...Still pouring then 25 mins later...Before when that has happened with K she's just gone to the practice nurse...But no no take him to A&E...What a flaming pilaver...We got there at 8.45am...2 people in front of us waiting for triage nurse...She didn't see anyone until 9.15am...Whilst that woman was in his nose stopped gushing everywhere...Triage nurse did his BP and said she;d ask for minor injuries to see us even though technically he didn't fit the criteria...We had to wait quite a while to be seen by a doctor there...And the doctor asked why i hadn't taken him to the GP practice ARRGGHHH...Told her what they said so she wasn't impressed...By the time he was seen at A&E there wasn't anything they could do...His colour had started to come back...He'd lost a lot of blood and he should have been lying down not sitting in A&E FFS...That's 4th bleeding nose in 2 weeks but the worst he's had since he was little...When he was little they tended to happen in his sleep...He'd waken up to a pillow & duvet drenched in blood...So hmmm they break up for summer hols on 6th July...I will get him to see our GP ASAP after that and ask him to cauterise that nostril...He was making everyone else giggle as he was moaning about missing school....Bless most kids would be jumping for joy to be missing school...One of the women waiting was a teacher and she said she wished her pupils would be unhappy missing some time from school LOL...Going to see if i have had a reply from these MySpace people yet <sigh> Also i do pray that none of your are flooded out...If you are then i really can't express my sympathies enough for you...Yorkshire looks dreadful on the news :o(

Think am safe LOL

Oh cool i was panicking for a few mins that my AIMPages thingy would auto update a journal entry...As mine is private then i didn't want that to happen but it's not auto putting an update on AIMPage if it's a private journal :o)

Well what's been happening since i last made an entry...Not a lot as such really...Trying to get to see my doctor and failing miserably...He only works in that building 2 days a week...On a wed he is at their other practice and the other 2 days he works in the out of hours GP surgery up here...Suppose i could see someone else but don't want to...Not anything major wrong just womens troubles LOL...G seems to have settled into 6th year no problem...He's finding the Maths easy as per usual...The Physics he is finding easy but he did point out it's just the beginning of the course...Being how he is with maths is a major advantage with physics though...Our Advanced Higher courses i don't know if i said before are very similar to 1st year course at university...For some courses at university if you have the relevant adavanced highers then you can enter straight into 2nd year...That will NOT be happening with G...I'd rather he did go into 1st year at uni so he can get used to the different way of operating there...There is a parent information evening at the local college next tues...That's going to be fun as we're going to have to leave early...Am trying to get through to M that just because it is 2 hours long doesn't mean that you stay there for 2 hours LOL...The boys are going tenpin bowling with tuesday club next tues...So have to try and fit in both which will be fun NOT.

K has been awarded High rate mobility DLA for her difficulties with her legs...She's still on the crutches :o(  She is managing to walk a few steps without them but still mainly needs at least 1 for walking any distance...She has been given a name for what is wrong with them but it's nigh on impossible to find out any info online about it...All i can find is basically it is some kind of slight or partial paralysis in her legs...I know she reads this and i know she's gonna get ticked off with me for writing what am gonna say next but tough...I know she is worried because she has finally let that slip...I know exactly what she is worried about but i won't say that here...Hunny too many people have have said it could be what you're now worrying about...I know it is hard to ignore what they are saying but please try to...And if they won't test you to set your mind at rest then INSIST on another opinion...A scan will eliminate it.

M apparently did a 10K run at school today!!!!! First i knew of it and i think they were supposed to get sponsors...He didn't tell me about it at all, i have no idea if they did it as a relay type thing as i can't see them all having done 10K's!!!!! Hmmm must phone school and find out more...And if they were supposed to be sponsored i'll pop some money in to the school office...Stuart has asked me to do a card for him which am working on and happen to think is very pretty...The idea is sound it just needs some tweaking before finished article Stuart...Someone else asked about a card and i can't remember who ARRGGHHHHHH...Whoever it was please remind me and i will do one if still in time.

Charley is doing my head in in BB...She's a bully and so self centered it's unreal...She's also really playing the 'race' card...Now there's an interesting point...All the furore with CBB and CH4 having to do the apologies for it during this series of BB...Them kicking Emily out for saying a 'racist' word in this series...Yet the board that looks into it all decided last week or early this week that the 'racist' comments made on another CH4 reality series Shipwrecked was ok and not anything to get worked up about!!!!!....Hmmm double standards somewhere there...And the 'racism' on Shipwrecked was far worse than the 'racism' from Emily...Am sick fed up of political correctness...I treat everyone the same regardless of where they're from or what colour their skin happens to be...Once when i was at Art school an african guy who was part of the group i hung out with wanted to go out with me...When i turned him down he started calling me a racist amongst other stuff...Told him it had sod all to do with where he was from or colour his skin was...That he was an obnoxious pig and i'd have turned him down flat if he had been white and scottish...He is actually the most racist (in proper use of the word) person i have ever known in my life but he was also one of the best drummers i ever came across...And that was before the PC brigade got a hold on trying to control every aspect of our lives...Hmmm stopping there before i rant <ggg>

I have an AIMPage now...Another social networking site that i will no doubt make a complete mess of LOL...Have a look if you want

An Ickle Bit of Purple

My night to hog the telly...Well holby City then House :o)  And am determined my 2 are going to bed earlier tonight...They both looked at deaths door this morning and didn't want to get out of bed....Hmmm trying to get two teens to bed earlier that will be fun LOLOL

Men!!! don't understand them LOL

What is it with the males of the species?????...The two i live with do my head in too much LOL...Yesterday G was back at school properly to start 6th year...In Scotland we don't have 6th form college which is done over 2 years...Never understood that myself as 6th form would imply to me 6th year of schooling whether it be in a school or at a college...In Scotland if you want to do Highers then the majority stay on at school for 5th year...Highers are done over the space of ONE year unlike the A levels which are done over the space of two years...Some pupils if they haven't liked school much will leave and do them at a local FE college...But they don't always offer all the Higher that are available...Neither do all schools but the majority offer the most common ones...After 5th year if you want to stay on you can do 6th year...In 6th year you can do more Highers, more Standard Grades or Advanced Highers (used to be 6th year studies)...Most of the Advanced Higher courses are similar to 1st year at University...Anyways G had opted to do Advanced Higher Maths, Higher Geography and Standard Grade Admin...When the timetables came out last thurs that meant he had NOTHING on a monday...But Advanced Higher Technological Studies is running...As it was in same column as the geog he's changed to the tech studies instead...He's not the only pupil who changed a subject for that one though...Bless him he thought Admin was to do with computing...I said no it's office work orientated...So yeah it is computer related but NOT in the way you think...So yesterday when he got in he not only changed the Geog for Tech Studies but he dropped Admin for Higher Physics...He's not done Physics since S2 but it's similar to tech studies and as he's so good at Maths they said no problem...Well the Physics was in a different column on the choice sheet and timetable to Admin...So he'd gone in yesterday with spare keys for the flat...He phoned me at 11.30am to say he was getting the bus home...That's all nowt else...Two hours later at 1.30pm i decided to phone the base to see where he was...Bearing in mind when he LEFT that morning he had NOTHING on a mon in his timetable...He now has physics on a mon afternoon LOL...He is going to take public transport home after his class on a mon and not his taxi...MEN!!!!!!!!!!!!! why can't they explain things PROPERLY LOL...Both his physics and tech studies classes are at the other school...His maths some is in his own school and some at the other school...Like today he has double periods of Maths....The 1st period which is just before lunch is at his own school, the 2nd period just after lunch is at the other school...On 3 days during the school week he is at the other school in the afternoons...So instead of his taxi taking the lad that lives local home, then going back and waiting for G to get off the shuttle bus G is just going to take the public transport bus...HIS decision and not the bases decision which is ok...If it had been the bases decision i wouldn't have been too happy...As for M he's just being a typical pain in the butt 16 year old male teenager LOL

The big launch

Well it was the big day today...The launch of the DVD at one of the local cinemas...G was sick so unable to go :o(  M had a speech to do introducing the DVD to everyone in the screening room...He did really well standing up and talking in front of everyone :o) The DVD itself is fantastic...It was funded by the local council education dept and a copy is being put out to every education establishment in the city...Am not sure about the shire but i hope it is as a couple of the lads involved are from the shire...There will be a few feathers ruffled and noses put out of joint at some of the schools by what some of the boys have said...But who cares as it is how they felt about how they had been treated in certain schools...Ok the schools aren't named but the ones involved will know exactly who they are when they see the boys...They all spoke a bit about bullying, their ASD, difficulty in making friends etc...It is so professional looking and really is a credit to all the boys and the one girl in the Triple A team, to the volunteers who give up their free time to run the group and to the arts people who helped them to make the DVD...It was really good to see one of the blokes from Peacock visual arts along to watch it...He did so much with them...Him and one of the other workers from Peacocks showed them how to film and not just with a small camcorder but proper video camera with mikes etc...They also worked with them on showing them how to edit film on the computer, how to add in special effects and how to add in sounds...They all learnt a heck of a lot about the film making process and also made friends whilst doing so...A couple of the lads in the group are now home educated so more isolated and the group has helped them a lot...One of them went to the same base as G for a while and was on G's taxi and G missed him a lot so was chuffed when he started at the group.

Now Stuart did an entry today calling us women and alien race LOL...It's so funny but all the boys in the club act totally different when the only girl is there...They apparently become more gentlemanly, curb their language and treat her with more respect than they do the other boys...Regardless of the surge in 'feminism' and equal opportunities since the 1960's there must be some inate inbuilt trigger in males to treat women with some kind of deference...Am all for equal opportunities but at times it can be ok to be treated like a lady...Not that i am a lady by any a very long stretch and i don't mean having door opened or some bloke giving up a seat...Those 2 examples are plain good manners irrespective of whether someone is male or female...I dunno it's just sometimes nice to be cared for i guess.

K's boyfriend has been voted in as an MSYP today so they're both chuffed to bits about that...So big congrats to him :o) Am absolutely shattered as after we watched the launch me and a friend took M to spend his b/d money in HMV...He now just needs one boxed set of Quantum Leap DVD's...We then had lunch and then we put him on a bus home and went wandering around town LOL...John Lewis don't have any swarovski crystals left that i like and goodness knows when they will get more back in...To be honest am better buying online and i can get more shapes, colours and sizes that way...But for samples it was easier going to John Lewis and no-where else here sells them...Anyways hope you all have a good weekend

RANT

Okies reason i've gone private, which i ended up doing at around 2am, are several....K had been talking to G on MSN and told him to ask me to talk to her later...See wed night i watch The Apprentice and G gets online...I don't get on until after 11pm...Well i forgot i was supposed to be speaking to K...Last week she had money appear in her bank account and she thought it might be her deposit money back FINALLY...She said couldn't be her travel expenses claim as it wasn't enough for that...Well it was the latter and that's what she wanted to speak about...SAAS (student awards peeps) have apparently calculated her travel from an area of Edinburgh itself that has same name as the wee village she is staying in...Which is around 10 miles outside Edinburgh...But the woman she spoke to said she;d sort it...She better put it that way <ggg> So K went off and her b/f came on...After a while he IM'd me...He's allowed as a reader on one of K's ex housemates blog...Well this little bitch has been reading this journal...Has been making some rather nasty comments...Is still trying to split K and her b/f up...Thick or what...Most peeps know the more you try to split a couple up the more they will stay together just to defy you...Besides K and her b/f are very happy together :o) ...This little bitch has also stated in her blog that they have been witholding K's mail...They have the forwarding address but they are witholding it out of pure MALICE...Now someone please correct me if am wrong but isn't witholding mail a CRIMINAL OFFENCE???? Hmmmm my bro's wife runs their local post office, trying to phone them just now but no answer...Shop must be busy will try in 5 mins or so...K has still had NO deposit money back off the landlady...The one who's son and g/f lived in the house...I am absolutely FUMING...I have no idea if she was just reading from the net but not via an AIM name or AOL name hence no comments left...If i could block her only then i would have, but as i can't i have had to make it Private...I really have no idea who all reads my journal except for those who leave comments and a few that don't but are on AOL or use AIM...I have added everyone i know who reads to the allow list...I am so damned angry with this lot i would love to take them to court somehow...Well the deposit can be dealt with through the civil court, which doesn't cost much...Hmmm ex housemate claims no forwarding address...Not true they got given one...Anyways rant over.

Just spent a very pleasant day at a friends but forgot to take her what i was going round with LOL...Tis her birthday on saturday and i left her card at home DOH...I'll drop it off later as M wants a lift to his meeting tonight...Which is fine by me as long as he gets the bus home...I have to go buy stuff for packed lunches for both the boys tomorrow anyways...G has 6th year induction day...All the 6th years from his school and the other school they combine with for 5th & 6th year at some park on the outskirts of the city...So acked lunch required...Also had a call from the base for him this morning when i was out at the shop...He was still in bed and didn't hear the landline obviously...So he wasn't a happy bunny when i woke him up and asked him to phone the base...The 6th year timetables came out today...Advanced Higher Technological Studies IS running...They thought it wouldn't be so those who wanted to take it opted for other subjects instead...So he now wants to drop Higher Geography and do tech studies instead...They're both in the same column...He's also considering changing the Standard Grade Administration for something else IF Higher Physics is in same column...Or if it's in a column he already has free...M had a footie tournament today but he won't tell me how they got on so am presuming the worst LOL...He's also had several nose bleeds today :o(  He used to get them a lot but hasn't had one for ages...K also used to get nose bleeds a lot and had her nose cauterised several times to try and fix them...It runs on my mums side of the family...Anyways better go and get some glue looked out before i take M to his meeting...My rear view mirror fell off for no reason the other day...Considering they're only held up by a sticky tab then am guessing the warm weather has finally made the sticky tab be unsticky...I know i can use the wing mirrors but i like having my rear view mirror...I constantly use all the mirrors in my car and am lost without it...And no it's not for putting lippy on LOL

dreich wed

M's maths time have changed...Hope transport gets changed over okies...Two of the days are the same but one is at a different time...Which means he'll need transport there earlier and transport back to his SEN school...Before he was transported up and then came directly home on transport from the mainstream school...Wed morning is the one that hasn't changed...So still picked up on mainstream mini bus at 7.30am and then back to SEN school at same time later in the morning...The mainstream school have activities week this week so M hasn't been in there and his transport for it was all cancelled...So low and behold mini bus turned up for him this morning DUH!!!!...He's not in on a fri anymore and is now in on a mon...Which is good as it is on a fri that he will be going to college...He's been giving me confused information about college...They're supposed to make their own way there...Or the school arranges transport for them...But we live like 5 mins walk from the college...Well 10 if you need to wait at the lights to cross the road...So first he said he was walking himself...Then he told me that the teacher who organises it all said he needed to take the bus...It's 2 bus stops...And it's only 2 stops because the stops are so close together...So just phoned and spoken to her...She's said no she hadn't said he needed transport or to take a bus...He's obviously been muddled when she's been talking to the others...Either he can walk himself or i can walk with him to start with...If he has a specific goal to get to then he can get there unaided...But it's the dog phobia that is the big time problem with being on his own...It's unpredictable...Sometimes if he sees a dog he will be ok and just wait out of the way until the dog has passed by...Other times he will completely freak and panic...And that's when he could end up on the road in front of a vehicle...Which is a major worry for me...Now G he will only take a bus into town to go to buy console games or presents for people...On fri G has his 6th year induction day and they're not back until after his taxi has left to take the boys on it home...I can't pick him up as that's when M gets home...So he's having to take the public transport bus home...He's not happy about that...BUT he needs to learn...In a year n half time he is going to be a university student (fingers crossed) or working...So he has to get used to taking the bus...He doesn't like the crowds etcon the buses and unlike M he's not into music so won't have an MP3 player that he can stick in his ears and distract him from all the people around him...Oh the joys of your children becoming all grown up...That was bad enough with K but is harder with the boys purely because of their ASD...Because you need to plan and timetable everything for them...Which lets face it you don't expect to have to do as a parent beyond a far younger age...Like yesterday on my course we were speaking about transitions into adulthood and the pitfalls that we need to prepare for...When we were speaking about if they went to college or university i mentioned what the disability officer at a local university had asked me...Obviously it;s not like school and very often you don't have classes all day...you could have a class first thing in the morning then no class until later in the afternoon...She asked me if he would be able to cope alone with that as they'd had a student previously who just walked round and round the corridor in a circle waiting for next class to start...So would it be better if his free time was also timetabled...For example you have X class from 9-11.30, then timetable some library time till say 12.30, then timetable lunch for an hour n half  then class Y at 2-4, then home...To begin with i think it would be better to have free time timetabled but in a loose manner...As in ok timetable say library time BUT if he's made friends and is going off somewhere with them then it's ok to go off with them...The timetabled freetime would just be a fall back in case he gets lost and confused...The people running the course said that is a good strategy to have in place...M's course at college is different as it is specifically designed for people with special needs to enable them into independant living and into employment...Right i must get to the bank to deposit M's cheques...He won't do it himself grrrr...Another skill he needs to learn...It's hard for anyone to understand who aren't involved with ASD to realise just how much stress it causes both for the carer and those with the condition...And just how much of their lives need careful planning...It;s not just a little bit here and there but every step...Skills we take for granted they need taught...Transfering those skills to other areas they need taught...Like M taking the bus to the youth committee meeting which he can do fine...But he can't just automatically transfer that to taking the bus elsewhere or in general...It can be a big skill or a small skill that transference of thought just isn't inate in the majority of people with ASD...Skills we have that we take for granted that we don't realise are skills are not inate in them...What i have always tried to NOT let happen is for obesssions to take over...As a friend of mine with an ASD son says if it's an obesssion that he can still have when there is no-one around to help then fine...An obessions that they can still do even when we are long gone as parents then fine...But if it's something that requires someone else and has taken over completely then it's not fine...I've always fought against them becoming too obessed with things...I've always pushed for them to try out as many 'normal' things as possible...Another friends son spends saturdays with her going round and round the city on buses...He's obsessed with buses...They just get on and off them all day with no specific focus in mind...Now that to me is wrong...She's let it take over and let him be in charge...Ok there may be several temper tantrums along the way when trying to not let things like that happen...And i have been on the receiving end of many...But you can't let the ASD totally and utterly dictate your life...Eeks went off on one there i have to go to the bank...I should have gone earlier today but it's drab and dreich outside and i was waiting on some phonecalls

The apprentice tonight...Three will be fired and the other two into the final...I hope that Katie is gone, she is so vile, two faced and everything she claims about the others well she is describing herself LOL

Not much of anything really

Well today was supposed to be the last day of my course...But everyone had got muddled up so they're doing an extra day next week....I don't know if i will manage next tues or not yet though...It has been very interesting and although i haven't really learnt anything new as such i have still learnt a little...I've learnt the proper psychology terms i guess for what i have been doing for the last 14 years LOLOL...Today we did about transitions which is main reason i was interested in the course...Mainly because i am coming up to major transition periods with both the boys...Leaving school and going out into the big bad wide world of adulthood....EEEKKKKSSSS...But i have done my usual and been doing my homework and been trying to prepare with G leaving school next year since 2 years ago LOL...

Am also trying to persuade G that at his age he really should have a part time job...Thing is i can't see him in asda on a checkout...Possibly in one the individual depts within a large supermarket like that but checkout hmmm nopes...He has big time sensory issues with textures...Certain foodstuffs he can't touch because he can't stand the feel of them...That's where his fussy eating stems from too...Not so much he doesn't like the taste of something but he can't abide the texture in his mouth...Possibly one of the clothing stores though...Or one of the games stores...Now there's an idea....I wonder if GAME take on saturday/sunday/late night shopping only staff....Hmmmmjust mentioned it to him again...He cringed until i said how about we try one of the games stores....Big smile on his face...Only one problem there...He'd get his wages and hey presto spend them all in the store LOLOL...But it's something more adult than a paper round and possibly something he could carry on with whilst at uni...Or one of the computer shops...If i can crack him then hopefully i can crack M next year...And hey get one meself too...

Oh BTW if anyone wants to buy a card then they can...Or if they want one specially made for a special event then i can try and make a suitable one...And yes i do do new baby ones Stuart LOL...And i need to come up with a really special one with Gramps on it <ggg>

Am not happy with M...Am really upset with him...Welli was chuffed he went back to footie training last night like but am still upset...He handed me a note late on sun night...From his school...He usually gives me them straight away but had forgotten...Well his school are going on a trip on the 25th august...And M doesn't want to go...S'not fair <stamps feet> cos i WANT to go on it...M won't go because the event doesn't start until 5pm at night and he will miss his sat night viewing...I've told him Dr Who will be finished by then but no deal...They are going to Murrayfield to watch Scotland V South Africa...The kids are £5 and any adults wishing to accompany them will be £10...So not fair as i LOVE rugby...I wanna go <sobs> He's being horrid and mean LOL...Perhaps i can manage to get him to change his mind...Fat chance i reckon <sigh> And on that note as am all upset again am offski

Fri stuff

Can't get a hold of head of disabilities team to ask about when i will get a new named social worker...Think he's avoiding me...After all he shakes when he hears my voice on the phone LOL...We'll be out of his hair soon anyways...All i want is someone specific that i can communicate with over G's transition from child services to adult services.

K had exams this week and hasn't been well so am guessing it's going to be resits for her...You can only do as well as you can on the day and if you're ill then that goes against you...She's had some horrid throat lurgy for at least 3 weeks and not been able to get to her doctor again about it...That's her finished this year now though...G had his last exam today and isn't happy with it...He sits his exams in a room on his own with an invigilator and someone from the base...Well the room they were scheduled to use wasn't set up or anything when they went along...Someone had forgotten it was being used for an exam...There was no desks set up...They went in sat down, then had to get moved and get another room prepared...And of course the exam was supposed to start at a specific time...He got in a right tizz about that and panic mode...So he came home and said they'll have to appeal that one...And todays was along with maths his best subject too...We'll see what august says when the results come through...He's not back at school until next fri now...Next fri is 6th year induction day and all the 6th years along with the 6th years from the other school are going to some park at the other end of the city...No idea what they will be doing but most likely team building exercises and the like...Fun stuff but fun stuff that has a serious side to it all...I have no idea how he will get home that day though as they won't be back at school until 4pm...I'll have to phone the base and see what can be arranged...His taxi could drop off the lad who lives near the school whilst they are waiting and go back to get G...It would mean that the other lad would be late home though...Or G could get the public transport bus home from school....He's also in a tizz as he forgot to hand an invite to the launch of the DVD on the 9th to one of the staff at the base...He's in the DVD so G wanted to give him an invite...I also forgot to ask if he wants to give an invite to his taxi escort as she'd like to see it...My best friend can'tcome as she is away on a course again...Well she will be down at her mums dropping off her 2 wee ones to stay with her mum whilst she is down in England on the course for the week

Mon which wasn't a general bank holiday here in Scotland, only for actual banks, the weather was ok...Tues and wed OMG the rain was horrendous...Today is first day i have been able to go out the back to check on my pots...Poor flowers i doubt if some will actually grow now...About half of my pots had between 1 and 2 inches of water sitting in them :o( ...It's really weird as some sat next to the waterlogged ones were fine...They all have drainage holes in them and the compost i used had drainage stuff mixed in with it to...Will see what happens...None of them have flowered yet anyways and some ain't even poked through the compost yet...Am going to have to buy a proper guilotine...£40 one i saw costs but it does have different cutting edges...The translucent paper i bought i wanted to do something specific with...I wanted to give it a fancy wavy edge...Well it's not working with the fancy edged scissors :o(  Guilotine will have to wait though...But i can try something else i decided on meanwhile, it will just have to be a plain edge...Right better go and think of tea...G went out shopping and ain't back yet and he's not got his mobile with him which is typical...MEN are such a pain at times LOL..BTW even if i haven't been leaving any comments i am still reading everyones journals...I keep ending up with not enough time to leave a comment on many of them...Will try and rectify that over the weekend
